➜ One can call Herdade do Anan's in good conscience an insider tip. The modernly renovated and beautifully furnished boutique hotel also boasts a very helpful and very friendly staff. In particular, Edgar, who was there during our stay, was always responsive and was also happy to give tips on the island. It comes from the Azores and knows the islands accordingly well. For us, he is the perfect host.
Our room was very spacious, stylish and minimalist — yet sufficiently equipped with everything you need. The integrated air conditioning could easily remain switched on at night as it was barely audible. The bathroom was also very modern (rain shower) and nicely flowed.
Breakfast took place in the beautiful lounge. There was a local buffet that didn't offer a huge selection, but still had something for every taste. We started here each of the 7 days on the island with a good feeling and occasionally took the opportunity to spend some time reading or ask Edgar some questions about the island (culture/nature).
We felt very comfortable in Herdade do Ananis and will certainly not have been here the last time. In addition, we like the sustainable cultivation of pineapples on the farm next door (which we could visit at any time and even got personally presented) in connection with the accommodation very much.
