➜ Hotel very well located, with decent breakfast. The rooms are small but sufficient for those who do not intend to stay locked up. The staff are very nice. Price not excessive.

➜ Hostel well located in the city center but not worth its price considering the prices of Funchal.
Rooms clean but very noisy (you can hear the street and every noise from the next room). Old Deco and old furniture, the hotel would need a youthful shot. Reception of the neutral staff.
Decent breakfast with nice view but I was charged €6 while on some booking sites it is included in the booking for the same price.
If I had to redo, I would have gone to hostel for twice the price (15€-10€ approx) and much better.

Residencial Colombo is located in the old city center of Funchal. Low-budget, but good price/quality ratio. Offers guests posibility for rooms and studio's, with or without breakfast (bakery nearby). Our studio isn't in the hotel, but just around the corner. Lady at the reception was friendly and helpful.
