Pretty basic hotel with a very good location on the beach. It was clean and the room was fairly large. Food at the hotel was okay bit the buffet breakfast wasn't very good.

Excellent Beach & so kind & friendly.

Dramatic experience during our 12 days family stay at Eurotel Altura. The hotel has been refurbished only 10 years ago and has serious maintenance issues. For instance, our bathroom had broken tiles and rusty equipment (including mushrooms…). There were pigeon nests on our balcony (incl ded pigeons…). There is also a major noise issue, with paper thin walls and more importantly loud music coming from the restaurant in front until 1am — loud enough to prevent sleeping. Wifi is not functioning on the 8th floor at least. Reception did not offer anything to improve our experience and the director was « unavailble ». We are regular users of 4 and 5 star hotels and this one actually deserves a 3 star rating maximum. Illustratively, the orange juice during breakfast is made of concentrated juice (while Algarve is known for the quality of its oranges! ). We have taken plenty of pictures proving our appaling experience and are happy to share them. Charging more than 300 euros per night is a rip off. You can find much better value for money elsewhere in Portugal.

Great hotel in front of the high beach that for me is one of the best in the algarve even if it does not have caves or the typical that people are looking for.
The hotel although it looks old is very well renovated and the rooms are great and all look out onto the sea.
In a time of summer prices soar but you can enjoy the rest of the year at affordable prices.
A great place to relax.

Emblematic hotel in Altura, near Vila Real de Santo António. It's literaly in the beach. Prices are suggestive and beach is very cool for family lifestyle. Surrounded by local restaurants and coffee shops. Hotel includes great indoor and outdoor pool and as a direct connection to beach. Recommend planning ahead or check nearby places to stay.

The Hotel is very good. We can only recommend it to others. The Staff is very friendly we felt completely comfortable here. The Tui Tour Guide Bettina Müller was very friendly and always there for us with Tips.

Lovely Location on a magnificent beach. Immersed in the appropriate nature as a departure of walks, especially out of season.

Someone knocked the door extremely hard on 14.05.18 and left at 23 pm. We got scared. We called the receptionist. First Problem there was no security. Second problem the receptionist didn’t know what to do and didn’t care at all. After 5 min she came to our room She said we have to wait until tomorrow. I asked to get it cleared and at least ask the neighbors. She said ok. 10min later she called and said she can’t do anything or even talk to the neighbors. If we want then we have to call the police ourself. She didn’t take us seriously. She didn’t do her job. She even did the care. For that I’d never recommend this hotel. Because if something happens then you are alone. Nobody is interested.

I went to the Spa, I feel a little rip-off. Too expensive and not worth it. Altura is a great spot, but if you’re a demanding client, avoid this hotel.

Beautiful hotel with spectacular views.

The hotel has an awesome situation and all rooms have wonderful view. Very good staff. However hot food at both evening and breakfast buffets are lukewarm at very best which is disappointing.

Downside: Walls are paper thin. Kept awake all last night by people repeatedly flushing the loo and coughing. Yuk. Nice sea view but small room and even smaller bathroom. Very, very slow erratic and unsecured Wi-Fi. Plus points. Smart public areas and polite staff. Good choice of hot or cold buffet for breakfast. Good size, clean pool area. Old hotel that has been given a makeover, but still suffers from the problems of old buildings.

Nice. Amazing views. But the access to the beach with many, many, many dog poops.

Good service, tasty food and free services such as safe, WLAN and shuttle bus to Tavira and Vila Real de Santo Antonio.

An excellent hotel, friendly and welcoming on arrival, very helpful, excellent restaurant and bar staff. Very clean, comfortable room with beautiful sea view. Our first night here we had the pleasure of listening to a brilliant guitarist, Nelson Ramiro, such an amazing talent. Very good buffet breakfast and dinner also, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. An extremely pleasant stay here.

Great sea view. Rigid breakfast time (10:30 removing everything)

We are completely satisfied, our expectations are Fulfilled. We searched for a quiet resort, want to hike and jog, without tourist hustle and bustle rooms and food are ok, service as Well.

Lovely place in front of the beaches where you can see and breathe the ocean. Good location.

Off season this place is a good deal. Well maintained, spacious rooms that imo merrit 4 stars. Good breakfast buffet. Good for business travel. It's november now and the place is crawling with friendly pensionados from the north. Recommended.

Good hotel, which does not suggest the exterior façade. Tasteful with great location and ideal for people looking for relaxation! Going to definitely come back.

This is a fabulous hotel. We want for nothing. Very friendly staff. Immaculately clean and all cultures catered for. We will be back again next year.

Fantastic place for couples and families. Wonderful sea view and amazing beach for waking and bath. The hotel is surrounded by good restaurants where is possible to taste the Portuguese specialities. The staff of the hotel is attentive, kind and friendly to children.

Stayed in this place for a night. The location was great as well as the room. Sadly the breakfast was really bad for €200+ per night hotel. The staff was nice and competent but could not make up for the breakfast.

Restaurant and bar correct price for a Hotel 4 ☆. It's dated outside but clean and beautiful decoration. All the comfort is there.

Nice hotel in Algarve, very quiet, rooms comfortable and large, service is fine, food is good and not expensive. A good address for staying in east Algarve.

We come back from a week in half board in Superior Deluxe Room (609) where we had a splendid stay.
The reception was friendly, the hotel very clean, the room spacious and very well cleaned. The view of the ocean is just beautiful!
The pool of the hotel is big bine, sufficient solarium space.
Access to the sea is by a private road, you can rent for €17 per day 2 Transat and an umbrella on the beach reserved for the residents of the hotel.
As for the evening buffet dinner, the choice was OK, we always found something to our taste although the kitchen is very limotée at the level of the choices of dishes.
The choice for breakfast is bigger.
The hourly beaches for breakfast and evening meal are very large, which allows to make the morning fat or eat late at night, it is very appreciable.
Around the hotel a shopping street offers some restaurants and shops.
Parking is free and shady.
Everything was splendid, and we expect to come back next year! Two weeks this time!

Room Tip: All rooms have sea view. Prefer a superior, it has a few more m2, not negligible.

Old fashioned hotel with averages rooms — lots of arrogant people here — too many Germans with loud kids — breakfast is war — elevators are small and very slow (array programmed)

4 star not enough. Catering up to 3 stars. Rooms ok. Room service so-so. Excellent gym. Beach and go in order.

Ask for a bath towel and I asked for the visa to write it down. Seems excessive to Me for a four star hotel. I also found a rat in their facilities and this is what I know, in the garden, because she had children. For the rest in terms of views, breakfast and facilities, excellent hotel.
