On arrival the sea view room that we booked was not available and was told that we had to wait we were then told we would need to move rooms again after 1 day this is totally unacceptable as this sea view room was for my daughters birthday wish and it completely spoiled her day. We also called the hotel 2 times on our journey and we were not informed that no rooms were available’ this created an uncomfortable situation at reception and after a 7 hour drive was very distressing’ for a 5 star hotel this is not what we expected we payed good money for this service and will not come back or recommend this hotel to others’ my wife works as an iso 22000 and is an expert in hotel service and management a spoiled birthday present by incompetent staff’! No responsible person for solving problem and apologize for situations! We wasting our one day, this cost large amount of stress, even they not offered anything to cover our lost! But sea view and restaurants services is good! Thank you very much!

We stayed at Algarve Casino Hotel many times, it never fails to live up to the perfect beach hotel, the service is exceptional, staff are so helpful and accommodating. The ambience, pool side, food are what we like about the hotel.

Everything was just great, the salt water pool was lovely and warm and so easy to swim in. Fabulous breakfast and spacious rooms.

Hotel and staff are lovely really polite and helpful, however steer clear of the casino unless you like being treated like an animal or a prison inmate absolutely disappointed with the security staff waltzing around like there in some mega Las Vegas rich casino and think they can treat you like a piece of 💩 on there shoe. Don’t think so, I’ll be keeping my money in my pocket and won’t be giving it to you in future. Shame as the hotel itself it really nice and get treated how you would Expect from a 5* hotel.

Room was dirty. See pictures. Complaint to the front desk staff and no proper solution.
They charge me 20€ for my service dog (thing that’s ilegal already) And I got kicked off the breakfast telling me that I can’t be there with my pet so I ended up having poor breakfast at my room.
If my pet is not welcome you dont deserve my money.
Unfriendly and not trained staff.
Don’t waste your money. 5* hotels should be much better that this.

Excellent service and nice staff. Pets are allowed and very well received. The room's view is astonishing! Having breakfast in the balcony with the sea view is priceless! Excellent cleaning and safety measures adopted to prevent Covid-19. Super recommended!

Spent 5 days here friend been there in June and said should try it hotel was fantastic room very clean and very spacious we booked a sew view room with balcony and really wasn't dissatisfied at all.
Breakfast was amazing all fresh and plenty of choice staff was amazing as well definitely going back pool areas clean and plenty of room never had a problem getting lounger perfect hotel.

Stayed for 10 days in June with my sister and her husband, could not fault this hotel, very clean with polite and helpful staff, we were treated so well, had a great holiday and would return… where do you get those mattress had 5he best nights sleep.

We've stayed here half a dozen times over the last few years. Genuinely top quality hotel. Great food & friendly staff. Sea view is worth the little extra. Going to sleep to the sound of the tide is wonderful.

Outside space and communal areas are fab. Staff are attentive. Pay the extra for sea view. Stunning.

Absolute rubbish. To many complaints to put on here, suggest they knock it down and build a retirement home for old croupiers.

Room was bright and airy. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. The location is superb and the view from the room was picturesque. It's a beautiful hotel with all the amenities. Would have no problem staying here again.

5 Stars only in prices. Dont expect the 5* in this five star Hotel wanna be. The list of disappointments is long. Hope you do your home work before staying in this Hotel. Now! The concierge Porters are exceptionals working staff, working crazy to a high demand of service with a smile… always, in the other hand the reception staff hard to get a smile from. This days a 5* you seek you shall find it in a 3* too. During check out bill, no question from STAFF: (was your stay okay Sir) hope you have enjoyed your stay… NOTHING not even a smile. Never again.

Not 5 star by any means. Very old fashioned. Breakfast excellent well organised dining room. Very clean but only about 3 star. We were supposed to have an alarm call and breakfast in our room but they FORGOT. Luckily I had my alarm set or we would have missed our flight. Very quiet at night no entertainment such a pity!

Excellent for families with young kids. They have a small park near the kids pool, with a nanny for parents who need a few moments for themselves! A great breakfast that you can take in your room, and the suites are Amazing! Near the beach, restaurants and nightlife. Excellent all year around.

We were here in the End of May before the Tourists set Off streams. Nevertheless well visited with many elderly People from England, Scandinavia and Germany. A few Families were there, too. The Service was very friendly. For German Conditions, however, a 4 Star Hotel but very cozy and the Location is simply pointed!

The Service is different. He goes from Guest ignoring to okay. I have not experienced a good Service in any Area.
The Breakfast Room is far too tightly furnished and cold.
The Cars for Refinying Are finished in the Breakfast Room, which brings extreme Unrest to the Room.
Cosy as a well-organized Canteen.
The Room is okay.
The Outdoor Facilities are very beautiful.

Great for a good evening, only big downside for me is that I did not know that in Portugal the ban on smoking is not there, it was abominable to arrive in this place where many people have the cigarette in the beak! I had almost forgotten and the problem was that I could not escape… Otherwise it is a nice casino where you can have a little fun in moderation…

Very nice staff. Found 5 hairs during breakfast which weren't mine. Jacuzzi was colder than warm. Entertainment was enjoyable when it was available. But please change the songs during the intervals. I've heard the same songs for 4 days because there wasn't any entertainment then. Food was exquisite.

Service upon arrival was second to none. We were travelling in a long wheeled base Mercedes Sprinter van and unfortunately the car parking options that the hotel offered could not accommodate our vehicle. Plenty of other on road parking was available with 5-10 minutes walk away, although we did visit during the UK Christmas holidays, so low tourism season. Local parking seemed reasonably safe. The hotel was perfectly clean. Room facilities were basic; comparable to a 3* UK hotel. My room had a few ants kicking about too. Sea view was lush from out balcony. There were plenty of vouchers / online discount codes at the time of booking so check out deals before booking. Town was a bit of a dive, but the beaches were vast and lush. I can imagine this place is a total honeypot come summer seasons (tourists galore)!

Great rooms… right on the main strip and with a Casino attach to the hotel… great value for the amenities and services offered and close to all that Algarve as to offer.

Great location, large pool, great views and good breakfast buffet. The only downside is that during the night there are bad smells that are apparently coming from nearby river.

We stayed at the Hotel Algarve Casino for 7 days in August of 2017. It was a very nice hotel. I went with my mother, grandmother, and cousin. Originally, we had been booked two rooms (grandmother and cousin in one, mother and me in t'other), however they did not have a sea view so we requested to change. The people at reception did try their best to give us both a sea view, and also offered us the chance to have two rooms next to one another, but we declined, seeing as our new rooms would have required my grandmother to have walked down two staircases, not lift-accessible (and to the other side of the hotel, quite far away). So it was decided that they would give us both a sea view, but my grandmother and cousin would stay in the main part of the hotel whereas we would stay in the non-lift-accessible part on the other side of the hotel. Although the rooms were a bit old-fashioned, and the air-con loud, the beds in our room were quite comfortable and our balcony had two sun-loungers on it (although my grandmother told me that in her room, the beds were harder, she had no sunbeds on her balcony, and there was, on occasion, the stench of sewerage, which we suspected was being dumped into the ocean the hotel overlooked). On the first night in the hotel, we ate in the hotel restaurant (hint: don't go there! ) on a night when a performance was happening (the tables in the tiered restaurant overlooked a stage). We got a pretty good view.

Amazing place to spend some money for adrenaline hungry tourist. I bit to busy in summer season but if you choose less busy time and day you will enjoy all what casino can offer. Including nice cold beer served with peanuts and amazing and cheap coffee.

From the moment we set foot in the hotel we were treated fantastic. We were fortunately upgraded to a suite (i believe due to my brother being in a wheelchair) and our room was great. The view was amazing, looking out over the beach. We were bed and breakfast and couldn't complain about the food, it is exactly what you would get anywhere else across the continent with plenty of option. We pitched up around the pool and were very surprised to receive a poolside waiter, this saved me visiting the bar for drinks (a great touch). All in all my brother and I have had an amazing few days in Praia Da Rocha and would definitely visit the Hotel Algarve Casino again. Thank you.

As seen and location it deserves its 5 stars but for the rest…
They accept animals but with rules of military conduct and it is necessary to sign a certificate of acceptance upon arrival. ATTENTION: In all Portugal pets are hated by hotel staff and catering. They are prohibited in 99% of restaurants (terraces included)
If you want to come with your tutu think 10 times. Our holiday was a catastrophe.

Excelent location. Excelent pool. Old rooms with no blackouts for light and with poor soundproof.

I did not stay in this hotel, however my friend and I did enter the casino in hopes to play a few slot machines. Once we entered we took a selfie (as any other 20 year olds) and were approached by a security guard that said "Hey girls, how did the picture come out? Is it a keeper? Can I take a look? ". Uniform or not, my friend and I were understandably creeped out and refused to show the picture. He then went from 0 to 100 and started calling for back up, reacting as if we were holding up the place. He then screamed at us that taking pictures in a casino is illegal. Both my friend and I have been to other casinos before and this has never happened. I would understand his reaction if we had been filming the slot machines, but it was a SELFIE. His reaction was blown out of proportion. This hotel needs to train their staff to be more professional, and to not approach people as this creep did.

Wonderful hotel, the staff were so friendly and helpful, location excellent! Nice family room, a lovely girl called caterine looked after and played with my 4 yr old around the children's pool! He loved her! Nice food! I will definitely be back and have highly recommended this hotel to family and friends! Oh yes children loved the parrot! If I had to find a fault would have just liked to have put our inflatable flamingo in the large swimming pool lol! A very enjoyable stay! Xx.

Excellent hotel at a top location (beach). High quality of service by friendly staff. Nice rooms with sea view. Several restaurants that serve a variety of excellent dishes. Nice breakfast. Nice pool and wellness. The casino is not for us, but may appeal to others. Enough reasons to come back.

Hotel dated, would need some renovation. However the spaces to be a 5 star there are all, the staff are polite and prepared. Great breakfast, as well as the view from the structure and the central location

Great location, excellent breakfast, staff friendly and helpful mostly, pool and grounds are also lovely. Views from the balcony and the bar and pool over pria rocha are exceptional. Beds are comfy in fact hotel is highly recommended. Right in the middle of all the action yet quiet in the rooms (facing the beach) Negatives — Car parking is a bit of a faff as you have to go park your car round the block in a secure carpark which is a pain of you are out in your car everyd…ay… Not a problem for most holiday makers as everything is walking distance. Also reception smells of cigar smoke probably from.
The casino which is a little off putting. Not enough negatives to stop me staying again — will be going back soon for sure!

I've gone several years and although it is not modern has much charm and is very well located. Close to the tourist but quiet. The staff very friendly.

AVOID THE RESTAURANT! Terrible staff and food. Waited forever for the food and it was awful. Staff were on a different planet. Paid 30 euro per person and it was a complete rip off. Casino is good just avoid the restaurant at all costs!

The hotel was nicely located and although nice felt it was not five stars. Children pool is suitable for small children under six, no balls inflatables in big pool. Facilities for children poor We saw entertainer a couple of times but she was not very good. Hotel suitable for people without children. We booked this hotel as it advertised evening entertainment which consisted of a piano in reception had to pay extra for entertainment in the casino which is part of the hotel, and just one show a week and same show for the month of June Also no facilities for making tea/coffee in rooms. On a positive note the buffet breakfast was very nice as were the staff in the restaurant. Overall the holiday was great and Praia da Rocha is lovely.

My wife and I stayed here for a wedding. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helped with all our needs and questions. The salt water pool was relaxing to swim in. It is pretty deep so if you have kids that can't swim I would watch them closely. This area is awesome and located right on the beach.

An excellent hotel! An unforgettable vacation. Excellent Breakfast Sol for Breakfast, wonderful kitchen in рестораная, excellent service! Pure ocean, good pool, good crowd, from the centre of discos, restaurants 5 minutes, and everywhere you will smile and hospitality, often crispy rolls staff and be sure to follow the двухпалубном white boat ride on the waves of the blue ocean! Unforgettable.
