Positives: view, pool, very good reception, breakfast on the terrace and quiet (if you come across neighbors more respectful than ours) negative point: vetuste, no Duvet, damp closets.

Nice, budget hotel. A little away from the hustle and bustle, you can still walk on the beach in a good 5 minutes. Rooms with balconies seem to cost extra.

Great apartment for the cost. The view we had from our balcony was incredible. Large rooms and fast acting air conditioning. The apartment was very close to the shops and a lot of restaurants. Pool was close by with good tasting food at a reasonable cost.

Good place to spend no more than 2 nights as the beds are old and incomfortable. It does not have double beds as they are 2 singles just together but if you go in couple you will sleep very separate. This a little old should modernize it a bit in terms of furniture and curtains. As for breakfast very little variety. Spend 1 week and the truth that I had paid for breakfast but I preshow to have breakfast out many times. Cafe Aguadisimo, juices that taste like dust, hard bread and dry… I get tired fast breakfast… The staff that if very kind pa how dry they are the Portuguese and thanks to that we touched a room with a view… that made Q forget the rest. The pool area is also neglected hammocks faded from the sun and many weeds, but not only in the hotel but in all Portugal.

Great hotel for price and away from the busy part of town which means its quiet, which is perfect for when you want some space as the town can get very busy at night. Staff are very friendly and speak great english which makes for a better stay, the rooms are small and basic but tick every box you need for a cheap and quiet stay. Perfect. Thank you.

Short distance from the beach and town centre, although very steep and hilly. A taxi back from the town was 6-7 euros. Rooms were dated, but were clean and had the essentials. Large private balcony with great views. Staff/reception were nice and helpful. Breakfast was basic and limited. Overall a great hotel for the price, suitable for people just looking to rest their head.

Not close to the beach, my experience was disappointing, poorly located and very old.

Old smelly very dated hotel but friendly staff and cheap but for a reason is on a hill and to get ti town or the beach is ok getting down but back up walking ia a nightmare.

Stayed two night and have not cleaned nor the bathroom is very crappy I would not go again.

Quite a small old hotel which is on need of refurbishment. The bathroom was tight, with limited room to move, the ceiling and sink were cracked it and didn't even have a toilet roll holder. There was no key for the room safe and the staff could not offer a solution only a shrug of the shoulders. It was incredibly noisy, the doors from rooms out to the balconies were constantly being banged open and shut by guests. This meant it was difficult to sleep. Location wise, it is at the very top of the hill leaving a long and steep walk down to the beach and back. It has little benefit and I would not come back.

Amazing view; nice personal; smelly room; you do not get what you paid for; expensive.

Hotel with quality acceptable price, it is old and for nothing fancy. It does not take too far the center of the city and or the beach but if you have to travel several streets with slopes.
The rooms have TV, free fridge and a fan, no air conditioning although it is not necessary at all. They are not exactly modern but the stay is nice and the cleanliness fair.

Poorly soundproofed rooms, we found a cockroach.

Good B&B in Portugese countryside. Close to very beautiful lonely sandy beaches. Very nice and friendly hostess. Good place to rest in summer or to run 43 km ultramarathon on sandy beach!

The staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast basic Rooms cleaned daily just needs updating. If you just want somewhere to sleep then get out and about this will be great for just that. Nothing fancy or over the top.

I really enjoyed my stay in Hotel Mar a Vista. The hotel is just a few minutes from the beach and the shopping street. Stay was fine although there was only Wi-Fi in the lobby.
