Be ready to climb a lot. This is not a place for people that is not in regular shape. Not for elderly or if you have health problems or need assistance of a cane. I got tired a lot, had to make many stops, coming down of the hill is way easier because it's a rock path. The castle takes only 10 minutes to see and that is only if it's full of tourists. But the hill going up is way more than 30 min, not like they say when you buy it. If you don't want to climb take the "red path" both ways.

Long, long climb, hard to get around in. But a fine, well-preserved castle. Worth a visit if you're fit enough for a thirty minute climb.

It is nice to walk. Easy, nice place and good view from the top. Obligatory for children from 3 years age to ∞

Detour that's really worth it! Admission for national park and castle ruins. There are two paths to the ruin: Red and black, both lasting about 50 minutes. The black rise is a physical challenge, the red the remaining alternative. The castle ruins themselves are a real adventure: Narrow arcades, narrow stone staircases and at the very top a fantastic 360 degree view …

Beautiful nature, interesting landscape, mountainous terrain and clean air.

The panoramic view from the upper tower is beautiful. You can see the whole valley. One of the best castles in Europe!

Nice place for a walk in the nature.

1.5 hike up the hill on the stone way. Opens at 10. Ticket is around 2 euro. Possible to walk near the castle without buying a ticket.

Interesting historical place. Very worth seeing.

It's hard to get up. But the view from the top is worth it. But alas, there is not much left of the castle)

The landscapes are amazing, but there are few souvenirs and expensive ones.

Strenuous but beautiful.
Parking is possible at the bottom of a restaurant for 10 zlotys. Then you pay admission to the National Park and the castle. All but very inexpensive. Be sure to take the red path. It is sometimes very steep, but at least it is paved. At the top of the castle are some sites. But you come almost everywhere. The ascent to the top of the tower is very adventurous, as the steps and the railings are partly very loose.
We were up with three little kids. This is possible but also doubly strenuous, because we had to carry the very small a lot. The view above compensates for everything.

A 'little' chalet in the mountains with exquisite views and glorious long walks into the woods and up the mountain to a beautiful castle. My time here will be one of those forever moments. Jim Hickman, thank you for telling me about this magical place.

Amazing views and an amazing walk through the woods to get there.

After a rather hard walk (200+ m hight difference) you are rewarded with a staggering view of the surroundings. We went up by the black route and down the easier red route.

Great view! It's best to take the red way, the black one is for people who are good on foot. Quite athletic. As always, you have to enter the Karkonospark and enter the castle. But it's both affordable.

So gorgeous! A well-kept hotel with spacious rooms and glorious countryside all around. They worked hard to accommodate my need to be gluten-free. There are sweet touches all around, like green herbs on all the dining room tables and bright flowers growing in the flower boxes. This is a lovely, peaceful place!

Beautiful castle with great views and small restaurant. The black way is just something for people who are good on foot.

Castle Road and National Park in beautiful Poland.

The castle and the view from the top are absolutely amazing and should be 5 stars, however, you have to get to the top and the road is meant to be accessible for wheelchairs and buggies, which is a joke, as I do not believe that anyone would be able to get there pushing a buggy all the way, not with a baby in it. Luckily we were there with small (and still quite light) kids, so were able to carry them while the other people pushed empty buggies, still with much difficulty up the hill on a bumpy and steep road. So just be prepared and don't believe them when they tell you it is accessible!

The castle ruins are the best place to see the surrounding area. You can climb the tower and get a bit of history before.

I love the legend of the Wicked Princess. It's up to you to find out.

Had a great time on the Angloville programme here. Great area, nice walks and a castle. Unfortunately the hotel's food isn't so good due to lack of variety and lack of fresh fruit and veg. However, the staff are really lovely.
