Beautiful architecture and details. The owners have put great interest in creating an inspiring environment and it pays off: staying is in on itself an interesting experience. There are some nuts and bolts to fix though: the place is new and it shows, staff is sort of inexperienced, the hammocks were all muddy and wet, the room we were offered had a running toilet. We got a free upgrade for that, so all good. Hot shower and good Wi-Fi are a plus. The fact that they don't allow to use the facilities to hand-wash is weird, especially given it's a hostel and the industrial attitude of the sinks (the argument is for "security", so there are no wet floors). At the time of our visit the only food offering was pain au chocolat and tea, but a few minutes walk away there's a diner (of western food) called Gabby's Bistro which is good.

Cool aesthetic made from remanent pieces of old houses. The staff was really friendly and I enjoyed my stay but I wish the Wi-Fi was actually accessible in the rooms. They could use a better breakfast selection, too. In addition, I found that not all staff was up to date on the ferry schedules. I was told by one person the ferry to tagbilaran was at 9:50, the other told me at 7:30. After double checking with the staff, they convinced me it was at 7:30, so I woke up really early to check out and get a ticket just to find out at the port that it was in fact at 9:50… I also would have appreciated it if they had actually checked my room upon check out because I left my sandals. Definitely my fault, but would have been nice.

Very much in love with the unique concept of this hostel! also, the rates are reasonable. Rooms and common areas are always clean. The staff is superb! All are polite and accommodating. Shout out to Kuya Guyz for the affordable and informative mountain tour! Definitely going to check in here again when I return to Dumaguete!

Industrial themed place. Clean and organized. Friendly staff. We had a very peaceful stay here. Room was small enough for a short stay. No refs or other stuff. It's super plain but still comfortable. Super cold air-conditioning. Only feedback I can come up with are; the locally brewed beer was too expensive, the breakfast menu is very limited, the shower area clogged.

Great aesthetics for a hostel and an overall chill vibe. Easy check-in, polite staff, and even unique stuff sold at the store. Easily accessible most times except for very early in the morning checkouts.

It's an affordable place. Clean toilets, Good architecture. The room needs to be improved. At least have a hanger or a curtain for privacy. The receptionist varies, some are unaccomodating they need training with customer serviceml, they are not knowledgeable of the places around them. It's cheap though so that's a good thing.

Wenqing Shop. The room was a little far from downtown. 25 min. The staff is not very active the most positive thing is to ask if you want to jump Island Oh ^_^

Im quite confused about why there has so many good reviews about this hostel, maybe they were runing it well before we came, but Im really disappointed with it. The reception was impatient, and indifference, Wifi never work well, and only one bathroom has hot water. The worst part is we booked 3 beds in one room, but they arrange us in 2 different rooms without reasonable excuse.

Set of 3 mixed bed, because we are family. But to the hotel front Desk said the system failure, a predetermined error, to put our points into a ten-bedded room and six rooms. Room sound insulation is poor, can hear next door flush Toilet sound, the roof is wood, you can hear upstairs footsteps. Wi-Fi in the room, front Desk attitude is poor, nonchalant it! The entire hostel has only one bathroom has hot water, very silent. The hostel lived many Filipinos, very noisy. The overall experience in particular is poor, do not recommend it!

Unique rooms, clean, friendly inexpensive, novel. Good price prestation. Highly Recommendable.

Nice and clean dorm; cheap and good value for budget travellers and tourists. Very helpful and courteous crew. Excellent concept and design. Cozy and friendly atmostphere.

Perfect place for bagpackers. You meet many foreigners here. They have good welcome smile. Good place near to city with own cafe and small place for drinks.

Room is big, even the dorm-type rooms but smelly. The shared bath/comfort rooms are a bit smelly, too. The place's unique. It has a good distinct "feel. " The bed is so comfortable and the staffs are so so so friendly.

I arrived at about 8 pm and checked in for 1 night in the dorm room. Upon check-in, the staff showed me my bed. There was a blanket missing, the staff noticed and brought me one. No big deal. I went out for dinner, then went to a disco and got back at midnight. When I went up to my bed, the room already had the main light turned off, so it was difficult to see and I didn't want to turn and on and disturb everybody. So I was looking for the private light next to my bed. My thumb touched the socket of the light bulb and I got electrocuted. What happened was the wire had been dropped too close to the bed, there was no light bulb in the light bulb socket, and the power had been kept turned on. Classic way to electrocute somebody. There was a loud pop, my thumb got burned and turned black, and everybody in the room witnessed what happened. At this time there was nobody at reception, and I was too freaked out and in pain that I didn't go to sleep, especially since all beds were taken so I couldn't switch to another bed. They also forgot to give me back my passport with 400 usd inside after they asked for it upon check in. By the time I noticed it was missing there was nobody at reception. So I had to go the whole night not knowing where is my passport and my money. In the morning, they admitted that they forgot to give it back. The worst part is that they only refunded 200 peso out of 400 peso that I had paid.

Accomodation thats exactly what I was looking for. Warmth and security is signature Dumaguete. Our doors left partly opened without loosing our bags and belongings. Famous homestay, just ten pesos away from the center!

One of the best hostel we've been to and we're planning to go back soon!. The interior design of the room is so classic but their Wi-Fi connection is not good tho.

It was a beautiful, stylish hostel, but unfortunately, in the Friday, 6 people had been bitten to the floor and were unable to sleep. Until the back starts itching very afraid is the bed worm also dare not to sleep again, waits until early morning to take a boat to leave before told the counter personnel, only then to the lukewarm reaction, waits for you to leave after will do cleanly, completely does not have any care, And so serious also asked me whether mosquitoes is also quite stupid!
Not to be recommended, but only said that the blessing of many, hope they have thoroughly done clear, or bed worms is really terrible!

An amazing hostel! One of the best I've stayed in. Air con all day if you need it and all other areas are open and very well presented. Wi-Fi is a bit shakey in some areas but generally good in my particular dorm and near the social areas. Good showers! Clean, oh so very clean! Huge beds with space for luggage either on the bed with you or lockable underneath. A but farther from the centre than it appear but it's a 10/20pesos ride to where ever you (roughly 50 cents usd/40pence gbp). Love this place so much I'm coming back with visitors and parents next week and next month! Private rooms are lovely but dorms are good too!

Accomodating staff, great amenities, very nice cozy ambiance at an affordable price.

I love their interior! The concrete wood design compliments well. Staff is accommodating too and they have rooms at a reasonable price. Good for backpackers since they have spacious dormitory rooms. They also have 24 hour security and have CCTVs around.

Definitely one of the best hostel I've been to. A very laid back place. They offer hammocks and lounge areas with game boards and books. Spacious bed. Minimal choice for foods though. But nonetheless a great place to stay.

Great hostel! The hostel and rooms are modern, and there is a lot of space for your luggage. The staff is friendly and always ready to help out. Toilets have a pressure spray and toilet paper. Most showers have good pressure and are equipped with a big showerhead.

It's a very quaint place! It's a simple lodging. There are bare concrete walls in some places but frankly, when you're traveling, that isn't too much of a bother. The beds are very good, the pillows very comfortable. You can expect a good night's rest here. Plenty of open showers and toilets which are well maintained. There quite a few mosquitoes because it's open, but it's not much of a bother. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. There's a free water refill at their dining hall/cafe beside the hostel. There's Internet, but it not as reliable as I'd expect it to be. There are well maintained gardens and continuous infrastructure improvements in the place. Very spacious. Over all, the value for price was great and the place was beautiful. The owner, Hans, was welcoming too. That's all, I highly recommend it for travellers.

Prices are somewhat high but it was only opened 7 months when I was there. The design is very nice, spacious with the kind of 95%-finished feel. Theres plenty of rooms/dorms, a bar, dried noodles, free water. Aircon and fans of course.

Good, new hostel that's clean and professional. Really like the rooms! Not crowded and doesn't smell. The common area needs some more life though.

I would say I had a very nice experience in this hostel. It's situated near the airport which is within walking range (if the weather isnt too hot). The mattress and pillow are good and the staff are nice. The only thing is that they stop selling drinks at 12mn which is very much understandable. They should post the standard tricycle rates for guests to see as the tricycle line outside somehow overcharge their guests :)
