Nice place. Calm and peaceful. Nice staff and really good service.

I'm rating this based on a visit during the day and in comparison to other resorts. If I stayed overnight I'm sure I'd give 5 stars. Friends have stayed here and spoke very highly of their experience. A genuinely lovely and peaceful place to come for good food, incredible mango shakes, dive trips (to Apo Island recommended), a dip in the pool or sea, a massage, and friendly service. You pay 400 pesos and can redeem 200 with food and drink. Scenic spot with a nice stretch of sandy beach overlooking Siquijor Island. We came in March and the pool area was very quiet/relaxing. It is a well looked after resort and I would highly recommend a visit. I've added a picture with prices for hiring bikes etc.

Good and affordable food.

As always, staying at Mike's is like visiting home. Although we haven't placed it it on our calendar yet, we can't wait for our next visit. Excellent service, excellent cooks, excellent boat crews, excellent divemasters, and world class dive sites.

Always enjoy stopping in once or twice a week. Usually order Taco Salad or Chicken Quesadilla but many other good items on menu.

Good tasty food in the restaurant.

I always look for resorts that are kid friendly. So far, they were ok with is bringing our little boys.

Cori and Jonathan are AMAZING hosts. They care, they genuinely care about your welfare, your comfort your trip in general. We stayed here during a typhoon and they kept us informed with regulars updates on the typhoon warning signals in order to ensure we were able to make our ferries on time and continue on as smoothly as possible onto the next segment of our trip. It's the staff that make this place well worth staying, time and time again! My biggest regret is that I forgot to leave a staff tip because the customer service was second to none! I highly recommend people stay here if they want impeccable customer care. The venue is right on the beach front so you can see the waves crashing on the beach front as soon as you enter the venue which is a real wow factor. The staff there are all so warm, friendly and welcoming from the minute you enter. The garden and bar set up is picturesque by day and by night against the night lights of the bar area and the main building and coloured lanterns. The rooms are really clean and well maintained with a very large shower cubicle and good power shower (both in terms of water pressure and temperature), which is important for me.

I had a wonderful time at Mike's Dauin Beach Resort. I had come here for the PADI open water diving course and it was the best decisions I made! Jonathan is an excellent diving instructor and made learning a breeze. In addition, the staff is very helpful and accommodating, including regularly making delicious meals for me (I am a vegetarian). The room was spacious, clean and cozy, and the views from the resort are spectacular! Lastly the diving at Apo Island is absolutely beautiful and not to be missed.

Smelly beautiful resort, good Food.

I went to this resort in the end of May 2016 with my girlfriend. This is an incredible resort! Despite the name "resort", it's not touristy at all! This hotel has only 8 rooms and is placed in the middle of a local community with local kids and fishermen around. The small size make you feel at home. Between guests and staff there is a warm and direct relationship. The staff is very kind and any problem (although there are very few) is solved in very little time. The diving is stunning. First of all, it is safe, the equipment is new and well cared after! The guides and instructors are very well prepared and always make you feel comfortable. My girlfriend took her PADI here with the instructor Neil, who always made her feel at ease! Diving trips to the beautiful Apo Island are organised very frequently. In any case, given the size of the hotel and the direct relationship with the owner Mike, everything is very flexible and can be discussed and organised. The food is also very good. It includes Filipino, Mexican, American and other styles. I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay in a very local and unspoilt experience of the beautiful Philippines! 10/10!

Mike's is a really great place. PLUS, their food is ah. May. Zing! Definitely worth my 5 stars.
