Review of Floral Villarosa 3*

Foral Villarosa is a small beautiful hotel, with lots of charm, restaurant and a pool steps from your door. Upon arriving, you have no view of the hotel from the street. All you see is the gate and a concrete wall, but once you step inside you instantly feel secluded from the world outside. The front desk clerks have helped with booking tours (and pick up reminders), sending us to a grocery store and giving us good advice while here in Puerto Princess. Everyone is exceptionally friendly and courteous and will bend over backwards to help you with your needs. The rooms are small, but very efficient. They include AC, a safe for valuables, toilet with running water, and a shower with a water heater. The bed is good sized, firm, but only has sheets on it. If you are like me, I am more comfortable with my small travel blanket draped over top of my sheet. We usually cool the room down when we get in at night, then just turn it off as we are falling asleep. The restaurant is very good. They do have set hours, but still very convenient. The menu consists of great Filipino favorites as well as a bit of international fare. My husband was not disappointed in his bacon, bread and eggs. The common area in Floral Villarosa consists of a large pool you can swim laps in, many areas for sitting and socialing, sunbathing lounge chairs, a hammock, a dining hut, a nap or maybe massage hut. The common area is outdoors, but it uses the beautiful local flora of the area to be the center point of it's charm. At night they set out candles and illuminate the area giving it a very romantic feel. I would recommend this hotel for 1-2 people wanting a secluded getaway minutes from the Puerto Princesa airport.
