I have come several times to mancora and I really liked this hotel. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Its common areas facing the sea are very nice and has a pretty good restaurant. Recommended.

Wonderful place for a well-deserved holiday. Marco and Marlene excellent hosts, and Miguel Angel great chef and very good arrangement to fulfill our vegetarian orders. 100% recommended. I'll be right back. Total thanks.

Good location on the beach, and quaint bar and rich drinks but very poor infrastructure. The water in the shower almost nonexistent, a trickle of water. The door window to the balcony without a key and the room then always open. The garden is full of dirt and debris, no garden… The pillows, a bad memory.
The price suffers a surcharge of 5% per card payment and is also very expensive for what they provide. Not worth USD 74 a night. 20 dollars would be a reasonable thing.

I liked it although the location is a bit uncomfortable from the main strip. Yes, once there the view to the beach is beautiful. The service was excellent and very warm. Even the day we were leaving we made breakfast earlier!

Blue Ocean is a beachfront accommodation with many guests coming from abroad. It is facing the sea so you can enjoy the beautiful sunsets. The atmosphere is very welcoming and pleasant. Marlen is a very attentive hostess that everything works well. It is a good choice to spend a few days of rest and relaxation.

We stayed for 5 days — 4 nights in Blue Ocean Hotel. All the staff is very friendly, especially the owners do everything to make your stay perfect. The rooms are very clean, the bed is comfortable, and the bathroom is good. We would have liked an additional plank to put on some toiletries. Shampoo and/or shower gel is not provided, so bring your own. The rooms have insect screens and a mosquito net to prevent the mosquitos from biting you. During the they there are no mosquitos at all, and during the night there are some around the hotel, but not too many, long trousers are recommended though, or insect repellent. We would have liked clean towels every day, now we had to ask for new ones. The sunbeds are one of the most comfortable we ever had, but there are only 4 with pillows, which was not a problem during our stay. You can use the chairs on the beach or inside the hotel gate, the latter one is less windy in case of bad weather, but with the same nice sea view. The beach bar has fairly priced drinks, 8 sol for a large beer, 15 sol for a cocktail. Pizza night was also very nice! For 30 soles a very good pizza, with the ingredients you want. The breakfast is good, it is basic but nice. Tea, coffee and juice. Bread with jam and butter. Egg the way you like. The location is perfect, 10 minute walk from the (local) center (for the fruit market or a panedaria), 5-10 minute walk from all the restaurants, bars and clubs.

Fingers licking "Ceviche", best I have ever eaten on my trip via South America with beautiful sunset and Peruvian beer.

A beautiful property, right in front of the ocean. Very clean and equipped rooms. You have a great meal at the restaurant. A great breakfast.

My son and I just returned from a week in Mancora and a stay at Blue Ocean. We both enjoyed our stay there. The few cons: 1) The property is raised up, so from the lower rooms you can see the ocean, but usually not the waves. 2) The place is one year old so the trees are not grown in yet and there is no real shade over the hammocks. 3) The Wi-Fi was spotty (although to be fair, that may have been my phone more than the Wi-Fi). 4) The restaurant has good food, but there is no menu and I was not always certain if it was open. The pros: 1) Blue Ocean is a year old; the rooms are nice and not at all worn down. 2) Everything is clean and comfortable and pretty new. 3) You can see the ocean from sitting on the patio in front of your room. You can always hear the waves. 4) The windows have bug screens so you can leave them open to the ocean air even at night. 5) Mosquito repellent plug ins are provided with a refill for each night of your stay. 6) The location! You walk down 4 steps from the property and you are on the beach. Not only that, but a very good part of the beach. The main part of town and the popular public section of the beach is within easy walking distance, but the hotel itself is down the beach a bit. It is not a private beach, but it is much less crowded. 7) The owners have years of experience with hotel work in Switzerland. I have been to several places that were run by people who knew nothing about service, but these owners know what they are doing.

Best place in Mancora. Beautiful large rooms, all with front sea view. Great breakfast and food. And the very special personal and warm service of the blue-ocean family is just amazing.

Holiday like beeing at home. Marlene and Marco are certainly the best hosts in northern Peru. And surfing and kiting in Mancora, you can start in front of the hospedaje. ;) Fantastic waves and best winds.
