My husband and I work in Iquitos and have lived within Jimmy's complex for the last six months. We can easily say that the flats are, by far and away, the nicest that we have seen in Iquitos — the views over the river Itaya and floodplain are superb, there is no noise from motorkars and the lush garden and communal spaces are a little oasis away from the crazy city of Iquitos. So far we have seen different birds of prey (falcons, hawks, owls), kingfishers & other waterfowl, iguanas, moths bigger than your hand (! ), praying mantis to name but a few. And when there is a full moon it rises over the river in front of the apartment giving you an experience that is hard to beat!
