We stayed 2 nights at this Ollantaytambo hotel and the attention was excellent. They gave us excellent data. Very comfortable beds and the bathroom also, the only bad thing is that it does not have a hair dryer. It is very close to Ollantaytambo's square and the hotel has beautiful green areas. It also has TV and reading areas with Wi Fi access. Quality and nutritious breakfast. I recommend it!

A quaint hotel with modern facilities located 2 minutes from the Olltantambo town square on a one-way street. It is set in a beautiful garden. Lots of green elements everywhere. An area dedicated to hammocks. Surrounded by beautiful mountains. Run and owned by a very nice lady and her mom. I think they also stay there. Hot water in the bathrooms at all times. Nice spacious rooms. Good Wi-Fi. Free buffet breakfast with seasonal fruits, flavoured you get so, different breads, muffins, eggs, ham, cereals, milk, fresh fruit juices etc. Etc. The name means 'a place to rest' — you can definitely do that here. The owner is very friendly as are all the staff. We loved are stay here. We stayed for 5 nights extending our original 2 nights.

It is a lovely place with nice attention, A1 rating. Which I would go back to and recommend meeting.

Just want I needed comfortable, clean. Staff very easy (they spoke english) and friendly. No problems with the US Dollar here. Nice walled and gated hotel. Well adored with a beautiful garden.

The ideal place to stay in Ollantaytambo, excellent hosts.

The hotel was okay, but the hotel driver, Edgar, made this experience terrible. Not only was he a horrible driver, but he successfully scammed my family and friends. 1. Half of the time he only had one hand on the wheel because the other hand had his phone up to his ear talking to people. This caused his driving to be extremely dangerous at times. 2. No matter how hot it was in the car, he refused to turn on the AC (he probably wanted to save money on gas). Instead, he lowered the windows. On dusty roads, this caused a lot of dust to enter the car to the point where we were had to hold clothes over mouths in order to not cough. Now on to the part where he scammed my friends and family. 1. On our second day there he told us that he had gone out to clean the car earlier on the side of a road and left 480 soles on a rock, and these were soles he needed to give to the hotel. He guilted my friends and family to give him 480 soles. 2. Three days later, not only was he was 30 minutes late picking us up, but this time he had a very nice watch on his wrist that he previously didn't have (probably from the money we gave him). My first thought was "I wonder what story he's got for us this time". One hour into the drive, he told us the reason why he was late. Why did it take him an hour to tell us? He had to come up with the story first.

Check-in slow (typical for Peru), rooms on the smaller side and no heat (except a portable heater). Breakfast selection not great. TV room and living rooms are good areas to hang out if required.

Overnight in Ollantaytambo has many advantages. A part of which is considered the gateway to the sanctuary of Machu Picchu, so it is the ideal place to get on the train or start the hike of the Inca Trail, there are many buses that reach here during the day to visit the impressive ruins that formed the ancient citadel of Ollantaytambo, as many who arrive to climb the trains that reach the old Machu Picchu, but when all this crowd has left, life, the true essence of the people appears in thousands of ways. The market of the many peasants and communities that come here from no known where priceless, see the "Cholas" with their "skirts" or petticoats, jackets of reddish colors, purples and oranges, the matching ponchos and almost always carrying something behind them, whether it's a bundle of food, herbs or, of no, the smallest children who move happily in this kind of inverted marsupial bag in which the Mamachas turn their Blankets. It really is a pleasure stroll through its cobbled streets and to see the base of the houses of this small town formed by this assemblage of stones so characteristic of the Inca world. On a small scale is what you can see in the very center of Cusco, in some of its most famous walls.
