We go every year to the mama simona de ollantaytambo and the one in Cusco. Two different places for their environments but in both friendly environment, comfort and simplicity of hostel. Very good staff.

A good hostel in the historic centre of Cusco. Hot water, very clean. It was very quiet during the night. The staff speaks good English and is helpful. Rooms a little too dark. Not a party place.

Nice, good rooms and service, also includes breakfast.

Spectacular hostel, super comfortable, clean and very close to the Plaza de Armas. Very friendly staff. Large and comfortable rooms with private bathroom. Very good breakfast. I loved it! Would return without hesitation!

Good service and good location.

The bathroom was smelling very bad the whole stay (canalisation smell), we told them to fix it many times but it wouldn't get better. The receptionist couldn't care less also, a very unpleasant woman. The beds and the breakfast were okay. Water does not work starting at 10 pm. Also it wasn't working at 10 am so we had to tell them to put it on.

There is No water, the room with bathroom smells very bad and the Internet connection is bad…

I stayed here for one night with my girlfriend in a 4 bedroom dorm. We stayed here because of the hot water for showering before we headed out on the morning train to Aguas Calientes. Don't get me wrong the place was great and the rooms were cozy; however, I had a few issues with communication and attitude. For one, the place is fairly far from the train station and is not ideal for walking to in the morning. They have a sign at reception that says you can book a mototaxi for 5 soles and I asked if that would be for a ride to the train station to which I was told it would. I asked her to book it for me but when the taxi came in the morning, the price was double and the receptionist wouldn't do anything to honour the price advised on. Not to say that 5 soles is a lot but it's the principle of it. Moreover, we had left a bracelet in the room and contacted them to see if they had found it during clean up to see if we could come back to get it and simply, they just did not respond to us at all. All in all, it might come out to about to same price if you just stay in a hotel near the train station if taking the morning train. However, if you plan on spending more time in Ollantaytambo, it may be a good place for you to check out.

Great staff, warm beds and a family atmosphere. At the time of my stay, they were offering free luggage storage during your stay in the sacred valley region. They were very responsive to any requests made. I would gladly stay here again.

Amazing place. We loved it. The people here are incredibly helpful and make you feel like home. I can only recommend it.

Not the worst hostel I've stayed in, but there was much left to be desired here. 2.5/5 (average) would be the most accurate review here, but I rounded up because one person of the staff did try to accommodate us when we had issues with noise in our original room and they had plenty of hot shower water. We found that the rooms have zero sound isolation and if you're placed on the second floor, forget being able to sleep because of obnoxious wood floors that squeak. Luckily, the hostel gets very quiet around 10pm (definitely not a party hostel — and not very social either), but it doesn't matter, because when people get up for tours or to use the restroom, it sounds like an earthquake coming through the room. For a hostel of this size, it's something that absolutely needs to be fixed — a week of work tops. Also, the Wi-Fi is just kinda insulting. I don't expect Wi-Fi in Latin America but if you advertise that it is provided for guests, it needs to work. Here, you need to sit in the courtyard (which gets cold and has old, worn/dirty couches) and even with perfect signal strength, it's painfully slow. An email or simple search can take several seconds or minutes to load. The desktop computers were a little faster, though. Lastly, the staff can be borderline rude except for a few. The best way to describe most of the front desk workers is 'present' (the grill cooks and cleaning people were friendly, though! ).

This was my favorite of the 4 hostels I stayed in in Cusco. If the floors weren't so squeaky it would be prrfect.

Very nice hostal situated very conveniently in Cusco. The staff is helpful, friendly, available 24/7 and mostly english speaking (which is not a given in Cusco). The rooms are quite big, clean and the prices are fair. There also is free Coca-Tea, which is nice.

— location: 5 stars. Quietly located away from traffic. 10 minutes walk to Plaza de Armas. Shopping facilities available.
— room: 4 stars. Clean with a little sparse décor. WARMES water, comfy bed, hair dryer on demand at the reception. If you have a light sleep, however, I recommend Ohropax (very light hearing).
— staff: 4 stars. Friendly and helpful. But only the least of it.
— Internet: 3 stars. Good Wi-Fi is only available in the entrance area. But even that could be faster. At the end of our 4-day stay, however, it was only sporadic.

Nice although in some rooms not be feels much the privacy as dan direct to a room of be.

Quaint and cozy place, both rooms and common areas very clean, friendly staff. The accommodation includes breakfast, who despite being bread with butter and coffee knows very rich.

Excellent, there is no better place to stay in Cusco.

Excellent attention. A warm and familiar atmosphere. I was with my family and we were treated very well. Good relation between price and quality.
