Bothy Hostel Arequipa Hostel

Great place I recommend. Not far from the center for the culture part and discover the day. And a great atmosphere for the relaxing and nightlife party.

Definitely a party hostel. There's always music and socializing. Staff is very friendly. Cool rooftop hangout area. Downsides were that I didn't get a hot shower all week, my towel went missing, and I woke up with 20 bug bites on my legs. But I guess that's to be expected when you're only paying 20-25 soles per night. Wasn't the best fit for me, but I can see why a lot of people would love this place.

There was only one electrical outlet in the shared 4 bed room. There were no electrical outlets in the private 2 bed room. You could here the traffic and honking horns at all times of the night in the private 2 bed room. To charge my phone, I had to leave it in a locker by the front desk. The hot water was not consistent. The Wi-Fi was also inconsistent. The free breakfast was only bread and coffee. The other hostels we stayed at had far more options at breakfast. The view from the terrace was quite nice. There was a computer with internet for use by the front desk. There's a bar on the first floor which offered an opportunity to socialize. The staff was nice but there seemed to be a lack of communication between them.

A fair place to stay. Clean, nice location and nice terrace. Has an indoor bat which might be noisy for the rooms at the lower levels.

Hostel in the centre of Arequipa with breakfast included (basic: tea, milk or coffee, homemade jam and bread/or for a fee) ; Laundry service (one kg 4 soles). Rooms and bathrooms in several floors. Cash only payments. I had a free upgrade from private room without bathroom to one with bathroom! Wi-fi, pool table and inside bar. Helpful and sociable staff. Recommended.

Excellent hostel, very good atmosphere, people are very friendly, Orlando, the guy who greets you at the hostel is a love, in the evenings, in the bar there is very good party, you can keep your stuff there if you go on a tour and you know they will be there when you come back, I really recommend it.

Hostel is very nice for the price. It's cheap — bed is comfortable, working hot shower, free breakfast, the place is clean and comfortable. Happy to store your bag if you go away on a trek for a few days. The staff are friendly, particularly I spoke with Orlando who was helpful and accomodating.

We are a hostel with a great party atmosphere and good energy around. With a pool table, beer pong table and variety of drinks with live sporting events in our willian wallace bar. Large personal lockers in dorms with only 4 beds dorms and female dorms private and share bathrooms, personal safe chargers in reception, luggage storage for free 24 hours. This makes bothy hostel arequipa a safe place for you. Free breakfast on our sunny terrace from 8 am to 12, a very good view of the volcanoes with a good rest in our 6 hammocks. Great option to stay in Arequipa! The staff is super friendly, the rooms and beds are in a good shape, locks inside the rooms are very convenient. The shower isn't great since hot water comes and goes. It has bar nights good for meeting people and the location is awesome!

Booked a room here but then ended up staying somewhere else. I think it's nice for the price you pay but, as someone else already said in the reviews, the night guard does not speak a world of english. Most importantly, we booked this place on Airbnb and Raul (the owner I assume) GAVE AWAY THE ROOM WE HAD ALREADY PAID FOR. Arequipa was our first stop from England, we were suppose to fly from Lima to Arequipa on our first hours in Peru, only, the airline changed the time of our booking and we were suddenly on a very tight schedule. I let Raul know (just to be polite) that MAYBE we were going to arrive a day later (but since it was just a possibility, and I had made that very clear, I didn't change the booking or show any intention to change it) and he let someone else stay in the double private room we already paid for. When we arrived the night guard had no idea of what was happening. We had to look for a different place at midnight after an 11 hours flight to Lima and another flight to Arequipa.

Excellent hostel, and a perfect location in Arequipa centrum. Bothy has a Super friendly staff, and good dorms Too! Must to go.

This is the best Hostel in Arequipa. From the moment they received me to the moment I left it was just great. Cheap, clean, nice people, greta community, chill enviroment, amazing breakfast. This hostal did everythig just so I had the best time in Arequipa. Lo recomiendo mucho!

This is a great hostel. Really nice private room with private bathroom. Nice place to chill, but you can party in the attached bar next door if you wish. Most of all, the staff speak English and go out of their way to help you. One of the best hostels I stayed in during my time in South America.
