Beautifully situated hotel, lovely rooms, and great service. Restaurant is very good too with incredible views of the fjord.

Spent two contemplative days at this lovely hotel in August. Thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations, delicious food and friendly staff. Would love to return someday!

We loved the fact that this hotel was more traditional and had more of a Norwegian feel — the other larger hotels we stayed in felt like most other European hotels. The views were stunning; fjords either side and a glacier in the distance. It was also great to taste reindeer steaks and have local/traditional fare on the nightly blackboard specials. The family who own the hotel were very charming and helpful. A super quiet relaxing place.

Plenty of quiet private spots inside and out to enjoy a glass of wine and appreciate the awesome scenery. Plentiful breakfast buffet included and tasty dinner menu with daily specials. All in all a truly wonderful experience. Highly recommend for a couple of days

We didn't stay here but went for a beer on a bike ride from balestrand. The staff were very kind and the view is amazing.

Located 100 meters from the ferry and 10 minutes by motorbike from the town and the gas station. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very quiet and no problem parking.

Great Views from the hotel, very nice rooms and superior attention. It eats very well at a reasonable price.

An ok hotel, nice and clean. Very far away from Balestrand, where everything is, so you definitely need a car. I'd avoid the hotel food if you can. Two of our party were vegetarian — the kitchen's solution was to remove the fish from the main course and add extra salad and what seemed like frozen veg. You can imagine how it felt to pay about $40 per person for salad. I'd stay again in the room, but definitely avoid the restaurant.

The hotel is well located, only about 400m from the ferry pier to Vangsnes; Approx. 9 km to Balestrand, car is a must! Breakfast is moderate; Dinner really lousy; No public Restaurantbetriebetrieb; Those who want to stay longer are better off in Balestrand; Not recommended.

The double room is great, it's more of a self contained apartment with everything you need. The views are amazing and the staff are very helpful they even pick you up from the dock as the hotel is about a 10 min drive. There is a bus station out the front but be careful on Sundays as it doesn't run very frequently.

It's a lovely place. Even though we have a rainy touch. It is worth knowing.

Beautiful location. Friendly and helpful staff. Anna, such a lovely hostess. We got upgraded to a lovely little self contained cottage. Every window was just like a looking at a painting. At Dinner at we enjoyed local seafood, and a substantial continental breakfast was included. The local walks and scenery were serene. Local bus from Balestrand 20Kr pp and a 10min ride. I spent my holiday in Norway and really enjoyed my stay here. Instead of the more busy center of Balestrand I choose for peace and quiet at the other site of the fjord. Rooms are cleaned every day. Staff helps you with wherever they can. Tourist guide, bag carrier or waiter. The bathroom had underfloor heating. The room had a small fridge and a water boiler. The view is magnificent and the price is good for what you get. There is food served a the hotel for a reasonable price. I spent 5 nights here and would recommend this place to anyone!

The only thing more amazing than the view was the incredibly awesome and helpful English ex-pat running the front desk (very sorry, friend, for forgetting your name). If it weren't for him, we might still be in Dragsvik trying to figure out the bus schedule.

The room was a good size and reasonably comfortable. Breakfast was included for the price and was a good selection of meats, cheese, bread, etc. The only down side to the stay was dinner… 250 NOK for very mediocre frozen and reheated food. Also, the Wi-Fi didn't work in our part of the building. Otherwise it was a good overall stay.
