Wathne Camping Campground

Reviews of Wathne Camping
Very nice place to stay. The cabins have shower & wc, two sleeping rooms and a living room (NOK 700 or 750 / night, I don't remember). The patio is sunny the whole afternoon and evening. The main road is nearby, but we didn't notice anything in the cabin. Maybe a little worse in a tent, but nothing serious… Very friendly staff!
Being a camper with a tent I am in a need of a level camping ground, which this one isn't. The area for camping with your own tent/camper/caravan etc is located along the highway so your sleep gets interrupted quite often during the night by fast moving cars, and sometimes it is even hard to have a conversation! On the positive notes the wc's are clean and the kitchen equipment that is available is sufficient. Haven't tried the showers but they looked clean. The landscape is beautiful. Plenty of toys for toddlers and trampoline for the older ones. The staff is english speaking and very friendly. The cabins they offer look nice and are probably the way to go if you plan on staying here.

Very nice employees! We were in a Mitwohnwagen totally ok for a night, the Sanitary facilities were clean but only one shower. But there were not so many campers with a tent on it as it went. Unfortunately, the campsite is located directly on the road but also on a lake… There are a few trees and hedges, absence of, in my opinion! Especially the direction of the road =)
A good starting point for Preikestolen!
