Once a hotel, now turned apartment, with very limited facilities. A spacious room was turned a three bed apartment. Became congested. Nice balcony, good location, very helpful staff. Very limited cooking facilities.

The perfect place for a holiday in Oslo. The Cochs Pensjonat is a convenient hotel in oslo's pulsating centre, just behind the royal palace and very close to the Karl Johanne Gate power station, the main street of the Norwegian capital. The nearby tram stop ensures effective travel (the tram works great in Oslo, punctual and fast) and the walk through the gardens of the royal palace leads in a few minutes walk to the city centre.
The rooms are cosy, though not luxurious, they have a kitchen with electric plates, so they are perfect for preparing a warm meal and ideal for family and small children trips. The cleanliness is great, the reception always open and welcoming and the availability of the property is excellent (I was kept free luggage for three days during an excursion to Bergen).
Recommended for everyone, both for young people, it is in fact a pensioner very frequented by university students, and by traveling families who are looking for a central solution but (relative to the crazy prices of the Norwegian capital) economic.

The most reasonable hotel rooms in town. Simply furnished.

A quiet hotel, basic but clean. No tea or coffee facilities unless you ask for them at reception. All this is reflected in the price. I would come again.

Room somewhat austere but with all the necessary services, including a small kitchen and refrigerator. Comfortable beds, very clean bathroom and adequate size. There is no message or kitchen fixtures in the room, but they can be ordered at reception without problem. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location to reach on walking or by public transport to the main tourist points. Good choice to stay in Oslo.

In a perfect location. The rooms are really great and I liked having a fridge and stove. Was very hot on the top floors with no AC but there was an usual heat wave. I would highly recommend.

It is near to Royal Palace and a train station, you can go walking to the main landmarks. The room is very simple, only one towel. No restaurant on the hotel. However, there are some restaurant, bars and cafes below the hotel. The hotel is in a second floor.

Friendly staff, clean rooms and shared showers were also clean. Wi-Fi wasn’t working on my first night but they fixed it. I would stay here again if passing through Oslo.

Clean Hotel and very well located. The only downside esque the kitchen only serves to boil. Fulfilled our expectations.

I was there for few days in June 2011. Very good location in the city center and prices lower than those in campings near Oslo. No parking, but with a little luck you can leave your car on a city parking just 100m away — the staff is helpful and will give you an exact hint. Big rooms, tram stop next to the hostel — very good place for sightseeing in Oslo.

A simple hotel with basic services (no breakfast) in a very central location, in the neighborhood of the Royals. All city attractions in walking distance. Parking in the backyard at usual city-price.

Stayed one night. Very nice staff, beautiful building and perfectly located. Simple rooms with a sink but WC and shower in the hallway. Comfortable beds. Loud neighbors on weekends, but fine with closed windows. Breakfast deals at one of the two cafés in the same building. Cheap accommodation. Recommend!

Great room, lots of space and wonderful location. Had a booking issue and the staff easily resolved it for us.

Rooms are simple (maybe too much) and clean. The rooms could have extra power plugs and a microwave. Staff was very friendly and helpful. General speaking it worths the money. It's cheap so don't expect anything too special.

The location is amazing. Nearby there are two grocery stores and a whole street of brand shops. Clean and comfortable.

Clean and nice rooms. The Wi-Fi were a bit slow and a little downside with no break fast. The rooms farin the street were not silent and there were noise comic from the streets at night. Overall a Good stay, can be recomended.

Excellent location. Nice and quiet room. Simple but it was perfect for us (basically just to bath and have a good night of sleep). We asked for an extra bed and everything was perfectly arranged for us. Fast check in and check out (with bags room) Low price (comparing with Oslo prices). We didn't have breakfast included but we had hotel discount on the coffee shop nearby. Nothing bad to say on the hotel, just on the expensive prices of Oslo.

The room is big and comfortable. The location is quite near the city. There are cafeterias and supermarkets near it. I would recommend it to my friends.

Completely adequate, nothing fancy but clea. N, safe central location. Keep your hopes in check, your budget in mind and enjoy Oslo!

Clean room, very near to touristic places, friendly staff, it doesn't come with breakfast but it's just right above Kaffebrenneriet cafe. Pricey breakfast but it's worth every penny. I'd definitely recommend this place (y) (y) (y)

Very central location, reasonable prices but they went super cheap on the toilet paper and decided to get the next closest thing to sandpaper. Other than that I'd definitely recommend.

— very bad shower, it is noisy and spreads the water everywhere, not to mention it's impossible to get the right temperature — the room is very noisy due to Oslo being just outside, so waking up at 1 in the morning wasn't unusual — dificult to find a parking lot + very central in Oslo + the price + the staff + the cooking corner and the fridge.

Rooms are very basic and noicy. The staff is friendly but I would'nt recommend this hotel.

Clean room with a small place to cook some food (frying is not allowed) Wi-Fi is a headache, sometimes skype calls are fine, sometimes it's impossible to check even gmail.
