This is a beautiful historic hotel with an incredible scenic view and friendly staff.

Very delicious food and multilanguages servant.
Also very nice view too.

First of all the staff is really great reataurant and hotel included! Then comes the view : awesome. From the terrace there's a wonderful view on the valley and the mountains. I recommend to eat the Norwegian buffet in the evening.

Nice Hotel with a very superb view! But the Wi-Fi connection not really stable, sometimes I can connect but at night I cant. N the best part is I got the room with bathtub, my baby girl loves it so much. Thank you stalheim hotel!

We were tour group of AIDAsol for lunch, there was a really great buffet we were very satisfied.

Quaint, peaceful hotel with a stunning view of the Nærøydalen valley. Rooms are simple but comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent with very good service, and the entire hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

A great hotel with a magnificent view towards Gudvangen.

Superb views down the valley, great coffee and pastries. Seems to be a regular stop for tour buses doing the scary trip down to the valley via 13 hairpin turns on the steep gradient. Stunning waterfalls on the way down. Well worth a visit.

Stunning landscape. Sun was shining when we were there. Winding road down again with waterfalls. Hotel old but nice.

I was only in the cafeteria, 3, 5 euros the espresso.

Absolutely stunning views. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food was wonderful. The rooms are not fancy but everything is clean and in working order.

The Steel helmet hotel is firmly in the hands of the tour groups in the season, but its unsurpassable beautiful location and the enormous nature around it also lure individual travellers there. Of course, it is not a five star hotel, but the house is somehow luxurious and offers everything that the visitor's heart desires.

Lovely views, hospitable staff. Quiet, quiet corner to relax, from the hustle of the city. A lovely place like all of Norway as a whole ❤

Great Hotel and fantastic Views.

Pretty OK but really the only choice. I just wish there was Wi-Fi in the rooms. Fortunately the ground floor is basically nothing but dozens of comfortable couches and a great view. Menu and buffet leaves a LOT to be desired, especially for vegetarians.

Good for a nice view and a quick stop but rooms weren't great and the food is not very good for the price.

Magnificent view. Hotel and viewpoint is closed in winter.

Best view I've ever had. Seems to be a frequent destination for tour bus groups which was unfortunate. I absolutely recommend staying here, but the restaurant and other amenities aren't the greatest. But that view! There are also several good hikes from this area. That's what I came to Norway for so this hotel was a gem to me.

The view was wonderful, but the soup we have been served left much to be desired.
