I cannot recommend this place enough. Absolutely amazing. The service impeccable, the food fantastic, the staff all so accommodating and the location leaves you speechless. They have it all covered, right down to the last small detail. We will be coming back and staying again!

From the minute we arrived to the somewhat emotional goodbye, our Blanket Bay experience was simply unforgettable. The luxuriously appointed Paradise suite was spacious with striking views of Lake Wakatipu and the mountains. Throughout the lodge we enjoyed discovering Pauline’s lovely bronze sculptures which perfectly complement the warm, sophisticated atmosphere. And the food! My god, the food! What a fantastic culinary delight. I can’t begin to describe the exquisite and beautifully presented deliciousness! We loved our NZ vacation and can’t wait to return. It’s an amazing luxury lodge with a view to die for.

On a scale of 1 to 10, Blanket Bay Lodge is a 25! The setting is spectacular; the villas are extraordinarily comfortable with a living room overlooking the lake and mountains, comfortable king size bed, cozy fireplace, and well equipped bathroom with steam shower and heated floors; the food is creative, plentiful, and most of all scrumptious; our fellow travelers were friendly and we swapped stories of our daily adventures over cocktails every evening; the activities close by are phenomenal including a helicopter ride (it lands on the front lawn) to the glacier and Milford Sound, tours of great Pinot Noir wineries, and a thrilling jet boat down the Dart River; and the very best thing about Blanket Bay Lodge is the staff. Wonderful place with breathtaking scenery however the food is average.

Magical place amazing food.

Blanket Bay is exceptional in every way. We stayed one night in a lodge room with spectacular lake and mountain views. The lodge is beautifully designed, has stunning decor and the very best facilities. Every room takes in the incredible views. The restaurant is fine dining at its best with an impressive wine list. The staff were very attentive and every little detail was taken care of from the moment we arrived. We would recommend staying here over hotels in Queenstown if you are looking for that once in a life time memorable experience.

There is no more perfect place to stay! Every aspect from the moment you arrive to the moment you drive away will exceed your expectations. We'll be back.

I had one of the most satisfying experience at Blanket bay. Both Toms (the owner and the GM) were friendly gentlemen and paid their attention to the guests. Most staffs were friendly and kind too. Our room was kept impeccable at all times and the view from my room, dining room, great room, any window really from blanket bay was breathtaking. Their stable is well kept and the horse riding guide Ruthanne was very kind with rich knowledge of the local history. I would recommend Blanket bay to any of my friends.

Our stay at Blanket Bay was simply outstanding. The facility is of top notch quality in every area. Tom the GM and his staff were extremely friendly, engaging and helpful at all times. Tom Tusher and Pauline, the owners, joined us for the evening cocktail reception and were warm and friendly. I could sense the pride in Tom as he spoke about how the vision of this amazing lodge came to fruition. The staff also arranged a guided fishing expedition with a Japanese gentleman named Ayato. One of the best fishing guides I've had. He knew exactly where to go and how to fish for some huge rainbows even though the weather was a little challenging. The food was impeccable, especially the pastries and desserts! All in all one of if not the best lodge experience we've had!
