Beautiful spacious rooms and fantastic friendly and helpful staff.

We were 3 couples from Florida stayed here in early Feb. We stayed in the spa rooms in front of the main building. It was very nice as the rooms were clean, quiet & well appointed.
Kate & Matt were great about helping with reservations for dinner & recommendations for breakfast.

We were delayed in our journey but our fantastic hosts went the extra mile in putting on a great bbq for all the guests affected. Can't praise Kiwi hospitality enough!

Excellent — very friendly host; perfect and handy location; spotlessly clean in the 3 bedroom modern apartments (fully self-contained) ; quiet if u ask for a back room; great hotel & Woolworths 3 min walk) ; no pay TV was the only little hiccup.

I wasn’t informed about the rental DVD, so my stay could have been better, as I was traveling with kids! I had to give them my phone to keep them entertained! But friendly staff otherwise.

Excelent room and kind managers. Close to town and piblic tansport. Also, rooms were properly accessible too.

Beautiful property with wonderful owners. If you find yourself in the Merivale area this is the place to stay! Great location, walking distance to shopping, grocery, nice restaurants, fun bars, comfortable and large rooms with everything you need. Such a beautiful place to stay. Stayed there on 2 Occassion and would recommend to others. Very well designed for comfort with plenty of space. Super clean and they are both helpful and friendly.

Great place to stay, very clean with all the equipment you need very friendly people, thank you Wayne and Karen. Very close to the town centre with supermarket, shops and restaurants. Tutto Bene, Italian restaurant, is a must with great food and atmosphere just a short walk from the motel.

Clean can walk everywhere. Great place.

Convenient for local shops and within walking distance of central Christchurch if moderately fit.

If you want luxury then this is the place to stay. The Manor house suites are superb and appointed beautifully. Library and front verandah are great spots for a cuppa or glass of wine. Hosts Wayne and Karen are lovely.

Had a fabulous stay here. Location is superb. Rooms and decor are comfortable. The couple who own the place are also very welcoming. Easy walk to really nice restaurants and cafes, botanical gardens and the city itself. Merivale is a very nice area.

The rooms are beautifully decorated with regal interior, also equiped with all modern amenities (microwave, fridge, stove too)
This is a home away from home.
Walking distance (5-10mins) to local mall, shops, several restaurants, cafes and a private hospital.
Great place to stay business or holiday trip with complimentary Wi-Fi and endless supply of power points around the room :-)

Located in the Merivale area near the City Centre, this Manor is a wonderful place to stay at Christchurch. We were welcomed by the very helpful host Warren who guided us for our Christchurch sightseeing itinerary as well. We had a Manor Studio Room 210 on the Ground Floor, which though seemed unsafe at first, but was quite cozy and secure. The room had electrically heated beds, heated towel hangers and a heated bathroom, which was a life saver in the cold windy mornings of Christchurch. The bed was comfortable and the room was sufficiently large for a couple. On the flipside, there's no private electronic safe in the room, so we had to deposit our valuables in the common safe with Warren at the Reception. Also, the bathroom shower has such high water pressure that the water could flow out into the room if one were to not bathe with caution. For breakfast, we were provided with milk, cereals, spreads and bread. The room kitchen is well equipped. There's a Fresh Choice Supermarket nearby, from where one can purchase additional food stuff. The fast Wi-Fi, free laundry, car parking just outside the room and the close proximity to the City Centre and Botanic Gardens, make Merivale Manor an excellent choice for a short stay.

I have been here a couple of times, and plan for more. A delightful couple run the property. The rooms are quiet, clean and spacious. Great unlimited Internet. Walking distance to plenty of cafes. Certainly worth a try.

Excellent mixture of old and new. The owners are very helpful and friendly and always make you feel welcome. Love the rooms in the old house but the newer units are also very good. All of a very high standard and because of that a little on the higher price side — but worth it. Not very good sound insulation with the units closest to the street may be an issue if sensitive to traffic noise.

It's easy to recommend great people who seem to love what they do. I highly recommend Merivale Manor. Spend a few minutes and laughs with Wayne and Karen. Enjoy the Webb Suite and it's wonderful view. It's an easy walk or bike ride to great food and beautiful scenery. This is the only place you'll want to stay in Christchurch.
