What a hidden gem Braxmere Lodge is and the meal in the restaurant would be one of the most delicious and beautifully presented meals I’ve had for many a year. Plus the lovely girls who served only added to the evening.

Great hotel at Lake Taupo.

Fabulous place for a getaway weekend, restaurant has amazing food, staff are friendly and efficient.

Quiet and Beautiful place. Wake up with the sun rising in front of you and the beautiful lake right in front.

We stayed for one night. Check in was very fast. Our room was very clean and tidy. It was comfortable to relax and to sleep. All the items are in the room so you can cook your own meals. Pots, pans, utensils, plates, cups, etc are all there for you to use. Rooms have good heating if required but well insulated. We had a very nice sleep as it was dark and quiet. Great location to relax. We'll be back, next time for longer than one night.

Great views and very peaceful. Restaurant was very over rated and over priced for what it was. I ordered the Carbonara which had a delightful garnish of black hair : (I had taken only a few mouthfuls and was still asked to pay for half of the meal. Not impressed for such a hyped up Restaurant.

Fantastic place to stay. Awesome setting, great rooms and friendly staff. Only stayed one night but wish we had stayed longer.

Stayed here July 2017, for a night, love the place, wish I could have stayed longer, everything perfect, except the weather. Everythng was there that we needed. Loved the bbq for each unit. The only thing I can say/suggest is that braxmere needs to have Sky and be able to buy drinks from the restaurant/bar, without buying lunch/dinner, as its a lovely place just to sit outside and enjoy the view.

Beautiful peaceful place to stay highly recommend staying here.

I look forward to breaking up a road trip and staying at the Braxmere its beautiful who wouldnt prefer this side of the lake.

This is a truely amazing place great views amazing food and best of all absolutely fabulous staff we were lucky enough to be invited to a wedding here Saturday night it was jus amazing everything u could've wanted thank u so much for everything job well done staff you guys rock.

Rooms are quite new, well furnished and have beautiful views. Good service and friendly people. Parking: next to room but not enough space for guests from both rooms (only first few motel rooms, others seem to have enough space). We were lucky that there was no one in the room next door.

Stayed for 2 days just after Easter 2014. Absolutely fantastic stay. Isolated spot right on the lake. Restaurant very nice and high quality, meals are top notch. Rooms are very new and our unit had a great lake view. If you like detail this is the place for you — from a top of the line shower to the swiss knives in the cutlery drawer. The hosts really made the stay. Very friendly and helpful.

Hi there How come Braxmere Retreat Lakeside advertises accommodation but clearly hasn't had any for a long time? Amendments should be made and please let your customers know you do not have accommodation just a restaurant. Australia.
