It is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed. As soon as we walked in, we smell the freshness and cleanliness of the room, it is immaculate. The bed is so comfy and the linens are so crisp and feel like brand new. The view from our window is spectacular. Not to mention the friendly staff. I will come back here again for sure.

Great personable service, lovely spacious room with views of the Marina. We really enjoy our stays here — have been back at least 3 times… Excellent staff along with the fantastic Manager. The food in the restaurant below is fantastic and the breakfasts at the restaurant were equally wonderful. The friendly staff know the Tutukaka Coast well and are extremely helpful with lots of tips for the best spots to visit. We enjoyed Snappa Rock restaurant for dining too. Thanks again and we hope to be back soon.

Great hotel with spacious rooms, especially if you score a room with a view of the marina. Unfortunately we were out the back, overlooking the gas station. Restaurant/room service is pretty pricey and there aren’t many eating place ls in Tutukaka. Highly recommend skipping the hotel food and eating at Schnappa Rock, which has awesome food!

The place was clean and beautifully kept. We had easy access to the swimming pool and to bbqs. There were herbs in the gardens to add to cooking and a beautiful kitchen in which to cook. A perfect setting for singles or families.

Had a great stay. Craig at the front desk was amazing and super helpful after Supbro paddle board tour fell through. Highly recommend this stay and do NOT do any tours with SupBro paddle boards they don’t communicate well at all. Craig the front desk guy 5 stars.

The Bacon eggs 4 breakfast wos so nice.

Very good location and value, the Reception desk is not staffed 24 hours so there was slight awkwardness as we did not know and were planning to arrive after the staff had finished for the night. All worked out in the end and we had a great stay.

It was winter so some shops not open. The hotel room was spacious and the bed comfy. Good TV and plenty of chanels. Great on a rainy day. Shower over the bath is not ideal for either my wife or myself but the shower was ok.

Terrific place, plenty of parking and excellent service, also great food selection and friendly bar service.

Although the accommodation was great and reception staff lovely the restaurant was dreadful, expensive tiny portions ridiculous wait no table service for drinks as a vegetarian no choice. We were a party of 9 with friends coming for a wedding could have spent plenty but could not wait to get back to our rooms? sorry but honest.

Great location. Comfortable marina front room. Friendly staff, well serviced clean rooms. Our room above the outdoor dining area could be a bit noisy at mealtimes with the windows open. Nice outdoor pool area. Several good dining options within walking distance.

An over priced budget hotel. Toilet needed a proper clean, stained coffee mugs, shower head needs descaling, no Airconditioning and bad pillows. But the staff are friendly, room and outlook was great and it's a nice setting. Would look for better value if visiting the area again.

Spacious, clean and modern rooms. Stayed in a two bedroom room. Both bedrooms had ensuites but only one room had a shower and the other a bath. Tap water had weird black residue so did not drink the tap water. Could have been the taps just needed flushing maybe. Nice location, close to shops and beaches. Second night had a random guy comad outside our room when we came home at night which was amusing. (Selfies with comad guy attached). After having the room cleaned one ear ring got lost from the dresser. Most likely was dropped or lost within the sheets maybe.

Thank-you for the complimentary breakfast in response to our unacceptable booking experience. Craig (General Manager) told us we should never been allocated our ‘under external renovation’ room (plastic sheeting and scaffolding across the windows of a room that was advertised as having a garden view) – YET Craig was the one that checked us in on arrival. No mention of renovations on website. In-room compendium had breakfast at $10 in main text and then $12 on attached restaurant menu. Having decided on dinner preferences we were blindsided on arriving at the restaurant to find the menu was completely changed – New Caterers started a few days earlier. No-one apparently has the foresight to update the online restaurant menu nor the in-room compendium. Days after our visit the online menu remains outdated as does any mention of renovation compromised rooms. Tutukaka is an international tourist destination and it is disheartening to see that the issues we raised have been brushed aside with a complimentary breakfast and a good old kiwi She’ll Be Right.

This is so worth the drive to experience the quiet and not watching the clock. For busy couples its the best catchup place, beautiful walks, scenery & fine eating places. Everyone is chilled & nice.

Clean and tidy rooms. Good views if you have a balcony/marina view. Well priced for what you get.

If you heading to Tutikaka marina then this is the place to stay friendly and comfortable rooms.

Gorgeous spacious room with balcony, great for a relaxing break soaking up the sun. Attached to the hotel is a swimming pool and restaurant. Five stars if the fan in the room has different settings and not just on or off, also if it provides toothbrush and razor.

Stay here on Saturday Night, very friendly staff, the room was spotless, and the bed very comfortable, had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant both meals were great value for money and enjoyable, definitely would stay there again.

Fire alarm went off at 1.30am… We were told this happens 2-3 times a month by the people that live there. How was this not been fixed? The whole place is really nice, the rooms are great but getting woken up at 1.30am by an alarm and having to evacuate sucks…

Called in here for coffee to go on the way to the beach today — good, quick service and nice coffee. Called back in on the way home for another before checking out the shops & it wasn't overly busy. We placed our order and waited, waited, waited with no coffee arriving! After about 20 minutes went and asked for our money back — seemed she had no idea we'd ordered coffees. Gave out money back without a fuss which was good but no apology or even any acknowledgment of the waste of our time! Really annoying — got in the car and left. No shopping and a shitty end to an awesome day. Back to good old Snapper Rock for us — won't make that mistake again.

Went here for dessert and coffee with my 2 daughters. We had amazing service from the second we entered till we left. Extremely accomodating and friendly. Great value for money and the dessert I had was the best one I have ever had!
Highly recommend the snickers cheesecake and the kids sundaes were great too.

Updated review after 5 months — we returned and what a disappointment from our previous dinner. The waitress gave us menus that didn't match, didn't tell us the specials or give us a wine list. There were no actual vegetarian mains so put a couple of sides together — very disappointing as it was my birthday dinner. The fish was miniscule and it wasn't pointed out that you needed to order vegetables — lucky I could share my greens. The desserts have been replaced with random things like coconut balls and foam — no chocolate. This place has gone downhill under the new management in my opioion
July 2016; We are regulars here. Great service and food. Plenty of vegetarian options. Pity people with children don't teach them to sit down and behave while dining.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was great, large comfortable bed, brilliant view (we were upgraded for free because we were staying a few days! ), loads of SkyTV channels. Unfortunately, the bathroom sink got steadily blocked from when we arrived — but wasn't fixed. And the fridge seemed to just stop working half way through the week, but otherwise it was excellent. We will definitely be back.

I enjoyed meals each time I have been to Oceans for dinner. Food has been excellent and staff were attentive. I recommend the pork or steak and the desserts well what can I say I wanted to try them all. Very nice restaurant to go as it is very relaxing atmosphere just to chill out from the hustle and bustle. So if you are looking to have a nice enjoyable meal I recommend Oceans.

Thai chicken very dry and tasteless. Service very average. Breakfast: few choices and everything is charged and more: juice, coffee.

My Fiance and I just spent a long weekend here at the Oceans Resort in Tutukaka, and I could not have been happier. The rooms were well appointed, warm and dry and comfortable. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds that I've slept on in a hotel in a long time. The staff were amazingly friendly and after the first day recognized us on sight, and did their very best to make us not only feel welcome, but feel at home. I cannot sing enough praises for this hotel as a hotel in and of itself, but to add in the restaurant and the entire marina as well, just a superb experience all around. The food was outstanding, the service prompt and friendly, and the atmosphere stunning. We were lucky enough to experience this thanks to a voucher from DailyDo, but I would happily pay the full price for the experience that we had. I highly, highly recommend giving this place a try, the Resort and the entire Marina were just fantastic. A more peaceful and welcoming place I have not yet found.
