Beautiful place to stay! Amazing views, great communal area, had everything we needed. Close to everything in town e. G supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, shops etc, only 2 minutes down the road. Host was awesome, very friendly and helpful :) a very nice tropical place to stay.

Nice clean, comfortable and quiet room. Reasonably close to restaurants.

Neat little cottages, named after the four elements we was in Water. Peaceful surroundings, some farm animals around, cool natural pool quite deep although doesn't look much you'll enjoy the dip get your tan on with the fine sunny weather make a bbq well equipped dining area at night enjoy the spa under the stars owner is helpful funny and kind would go back again when in the far north.

What an amazing place totally loved it. I will be back on my next trip.

Quiet, secluded great gardens.

We had an amazing stay at Avalon! Kids loved exploring the resort, feeding the pigs scraps daily, picking an orange off the many trees, and having Mr Duck tapping on the door to say hello. Cabins were lovely would definitely stay again!

Location is secluded, away from the main road. Room was large enough for a couple and hotel reception provided excellent service. Well deserved place to visit.

Great, staff were lovely but a clean up and thicker walls wouldn't hurt.

We stayed in one of the beautiful little cottages. It was spacious, nicely furnished and comfortable. The grounds are lovely with all the nice native palms. I would happily stay here again and recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Kerikeri.

Fabulously landscaped and welcoming staff. All amenities provided of a high standard. Very beautiful gardens, spa and pool, teeming with native birds. Also very handy to town — highly recommend 5+ stars.

We have completed our big trip to New Zealand in Kerikeri at the Avalon Resort. A wonderful week in a nice surroundings with nice people! (despite less weather). From Kerikeri it was wonderful to stay in the area. The cottages are self-contained and so it was great to wake up and especially to come home in the evening. Felt great. Good beds, nice kitchen and good sanitary. The natural pool, the hot tub and barbeque are all present. Furthermore, a beautiful park. Nice how they made it. We will be happy to come back once!

A haven of peace. Thank you Willem for the home. We have enjoyed this peace and that connection with nature. The Bedding and the equipment of the cottage to the "Air" of very good quality. To rejuvenate, this is the top and very well located to kerikeri.

Cottages set in beautiful farmlike surroundings. Welcoming & friendly resident ducks, chickens & pigs. Host accommodating & friendly. We stayed in the "Air" cottage which in my opinion needed a good clean of cobwebs in corners and maybe a mopping of floor, sofa beds in lounge only suitable for smaller children, but overall a nice relaxing stay. Close to all shops & cafes in Kerikeri.

Very good reception, very clean accommodation and good bedding, very welcoming green surroundings.

We stayed for our Wedding Anniversary and the setting was lovely but the Air cottage was filthy particularly the bathroom. We did not get a helpful response from reception saying he was not a cleaner and the cleaner would be back tomorrow. Very upsetting stay especially when they only cleaned the bath the next day nothing else, not even making the bed.

A beautiful place, lovely gardens and super cute cabins beautifully furnished. However, top surface cleaning… dirty windows, cobwebs on ceilings, very dusty bed headboard, scummy dishwasher and not enough plates or bowls for 4…
aside from that it's lush! We would have loved to stay longer! We loved the cheeky.

Beautiful cottage concept. The air cottage is on its own beside the farm and lakes and gardens and bushes.

Our party of three spent two nights in one of Avalon's self-contained cottages set in a beautiful park like setting (mere minutes from the Kerikeri town centre). The cottage was well appointed and very comfortable — made more so by the effort the staff went to on our evening arrival to have heating and lighting set to create a welcoming ambience. Willem and his team were very friendly and most accommodating. We cannot recommend Avalon enough and will certainly be staying again should we pass that way in the future.

Superb location, friendly staff.

Recently my husband and I stayed for two weeks at Avalon while we visited relatives in Kerikeri. We were totally happy with our visit. Willam, the resort manager, was most accommodating to our every need. The resort is a quiet, peaceful location in a valley just a block from town. The resident ducks, chickens, and pigs added to the fun of our stay. We will most certainly stay there on our future visits to Kerikeri.

Absolutely beautiful and tranquil setting. You feel you are somewhere in the tropics. The rooms are comfortable and furnished beautifully. My sister and I shared the Ruby room with two singles which were really comfortable. The spa is lovely, and the pool inviting. The staff are wonderful. Wish we could have stayed to relax more and will definitely return. Shona from Hamilton.

Great service, but we liked it most because of the high quality rooms and beautiful setting just mins from the centre of town. You would never know.

Great place for a retreat from the busyness of city life. We just spent the weekend in Keri Keri participating in the Half Marathon. What a great place to soak in the spa pool healing our painful buttocks, legs, hips and blistered feet. Would recommend it to my friends, and hope my hubby will join me for a weekend to experience this delightful place.

The place itself is lovely with a gorgeous spring water pool, however I suggest that you specify you do not wish to be put in the 'Topaz' room. The Topaz room is part of the owners house with little to no soundproofing, so after hours you are able to hear the owners and their children talking and walking around the house. It also has little privacy, one set of windows faces the the entrance to the owners house and the entrance to the midwifery, one set faces the driveway to reception/midwifery and one set to the walkway down to the river, so you feel as though you want the curtains to be drawn at all times, which is a shame. I would definitely stay at the property again, but not in that room.

We stayed four nights in this private secluded paradise, yet right in the heart of the Town of Kerikeri. Service was first class with very freindly and helpful hosts, Willem and Betty. Each cottage is very private giving you privacy, the grounds where beautiful with crystal clear lake, a river to kayak in. The cottages themselves where first class design, practical and very romantic. I would recomend this as your first stop for Kerikeri accomodation. Seeing is believing.
