Hey lovelies, thank you for your warm hospitality, my stay was wonderful, soft bed and pillows, spa in my room💜 rooms were clean and tidy… will definitely be back and highly recommend.

We stayed for 3 nights and appreciated the daily room service. Good selection of quality toiletries and tea, coffee, and biscuits. Surprisingly quiet despite its location on the main road (Marine Parade). 5 minutes walk to good eateries, shops, and the beach. Extra large and long bed with quality linen added to restful stay. Spa in-room was amazing and a huge bonus. Very accommodating staff allowed us to leave the car onsite after we checked out. Good sized room, bigger than appears in photos so you're not bumping into furniture. The only fault was that the shower pressure was a bit weak following having a spa. A small boutique hotel with a personal touch, perfect for a weekend getaway.

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT: very responsive and helpful. Quiet rooms and great location on Marine Parade close to the CBD. Walking distance to great restaurants and bars.

Beautiful room, hostess was lovely and helpful. The spa bath was amazing! Clean, modern, a lot bigger than I had expected. Definitely coming back.

Hands down the worst experience with a motel/hotel I've ever had. We made a booking on 20/7/19 via booking. Com and we were very abruptly told by John at the front desk that because we had booked via a debit card instead of a credit card, he refused to honour our stay and wouldn't let us have the room. We paid online via our debit card and asked how we could get our money back and were very rudely told "you can't". Apparently it is in their terms and conditions that they refuse bookings unless you've got a credit card even though we paid with a debit card already. If they have this kind of arrangement with booking. Com then it needs to be made far more clear! We asked if we could pay a deposit that would be refunded once we left and John just flat out refused. We tried to say that we now had nowhere to stay and were out by $165 and were then told we "weren't listening" and so we ended up walking out. I had to spend 20 minutes on the phone with booking. Com's help desk explaining the situation which cost heaps of phone credit as the number was in America. They were very apologetic and said they dont think the hotel understood the situation and gave us our money back in full. They should not automatically take people's money via this website if they refuse to honour bookings in this manner. I have used my debit card to stay at hotels, motels, bnbs and to rent cars from car rental places all over New Zealand and the world with no issues, often with booking.

Very comfortable bed, large rooms and relaxing spa bath right in the bedroom! Falling asleep to the sound of waves crashing on the beach.
Enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.

Well appointed rooms. Friendly and helpful service with free Wi-Fi. Breakfast available inc cooked. On waterfront marine parade and walking distance to cbd. Cafe restaurant bar next door and buffet breakfast.

One of the worst people to own a Motel. My wife and I could not go to the motel due to a sick son and even after informing the owners 1 week in advance, the owner refused to even give us half of the amount in refund. These guys just want people's money for free. The worst kind of people who have spoilt the reputation of NZ Tourism. Shame on them.

Pretty horrible stay. Charged us extra telling us our daughter had wet the bed which was completely false since she was fully trained, and had a nappy on.

Well appointed rooms, with upstairs rooms having a great view of the sea. Walking distances to shops, businesses and tourist attractions. Proprietors are friendly and helpful. Rooms have desks and air conditioning, which is great for business travel.
