Rachel and Alby are wonderful hosts nothing is to much trouble. The room was very clean and tidy and the view over The Firth of Thames amazing. We had breakfast which consisted of fresh fruit, muesli, yoghurt and toast. I certainly would recommend this place to anyone who wants a place to stay near Thames.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed, shown around and provided with fresh milk and a locally produced liqueur as a treat. The unit is spacious, comfortable, clean and well appointed. It is perched on top of a hill with incredible views of the Firth of Thames. This place is full of character and warmth, reflective of the wonderful hosts.

Peaceful tranquil surroundings. A lovely welcome by Alby our host. Recommend the spa. A wonderful weekend away and very nice complimentary local liqueur treat. Laulii and Rita.

Quaint and cosy bed and breakfast with several lodging configurations in the southern side of Themes in the Coromandel. Really fantastic staff, super friendly and helpful!

Wow! This place is amazing with great views and the hostess with the mostest! Such a lovely host and gorgeous, comfortable and clean. 5 from me and the extra little touches are remembered. Loved the baileys on arrival.

Best B&B without a doubt. Stayed in Manuka Chalet in summer. It’s so incredibly peaceful here and the view is spectacular. Beds and sofa were extremely comfy. Breakfast is very generous as were the shortbread biscuits and baileys. There’s a pool too but we didn’t get a chance to use it. There’s a somewhat steep one-lane driveway to get into the property but after a couple drives you become desensitised. Glenda is a wonderful and cheery host. Very accommodating, especially when she gave us her number in case we need help backing up the drive way if another car was already on it. Would love to stay here again if I ever get another chance to visit Thames.

Awesome spot, had a great sleep, we are only an hour from home but thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

My husband and I love this beautiful place. I would highly recommend a stay at Thames in this picture perfect location. Lovely Glenda our hostess is first class. The cottage is spotless comfortable and kitchen facilities are new. Plus Glendas home biscuit and complement night cap. Just fabulous. Thank you Glenda and Grafton cottages. Great.

Run by a couple. We were greeted by a friendly host (male) upon arrival. The room we got was clean & tidy, well equipped, and had a good view. Offered amenities like basic kitchenware, kettle, oven, sink, tea, coffee, towels, hand wash, shampoo, and body wash. It would've been nice to include toothpaste, disposable toothbrush and razor. It had a minibar which included water, soft drinks, beer, and wine. Thought they were reasonably priced but would've been nice to offer complimentary first two bottles of water. The host spilled some milk on the carpet and said would come back to clean it up right away but he never came. We also found some unknown material in the milk they gave us which seemed to be from the jug the milk was in which gave us a fright because it was only discovered only after we drank some.

Stayed in Manuka. I had an awsome peaceful time. And the views are Devine. Thank you…

Alby and the staff are just fantastic. They really make the place special. Also the view and location are also great.

It lacks one thing "air conditioning" because large Bay Windows with a magnificent view but then it is very hot for the rest of a great simplicity warm welcome.

Amazing view of the estuary the direction of great kindness the only two points to review the lack of air conditioning as chalet with large bay windows and bedding (uncomfortable mattress) to know anyway.

This was a very cosy and inviting place to stay with Alby and Rachel (our hosts) welcoming us with warm smiles and a small portion of the local liqueur (yummy). The chalet was lovely with the views from it outstanding — what a sunset! The hot tub was what we needed after a day of exploring and driving and a dip in the pool woke me up. A lovely place to stay for at least 3 days in order to explore the area around Thames. Fully recommend and would definitely go again.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful during my stay. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable with a spectacular view over the inlet. I will not hesitate to recommend this accommodation to friends.

Hosts, Albi and Rachael are simply the best. So is the fishing.

Cozy cottages with beautiful views of the coast. Continental breakfast delivered each morning to your cottage.

Our last night in NZ was just so cosy and lovely falling asleep over looking the city light. We were greated so warmly by the hosts and felt accommodated in every aspect. Woke up to the most amazing view and a beautiful breakfast. Thank you so much guys. C & A.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying in two of their chalets this December. We had a perfect stay and couldn't say one thing we would change. The host were very pleasant and helpful and the views from both of our chalets were amazing! The included breakfast was perfect to get your day started. We did not use the pool or jacuzzi but they looked clean and well maintained and wish we would have. Definitely will come back and stay again if I'm ever back in New Zealand. Thanks again for a great stay and we wish you the best!

My husband and I stayed here the first night of our New Zealand honeymoon November 2014. After traveling for nearly 24 straight hours, Grafton was a warm and welcoming retreat for us to rest, recharge, and enjoy our first night in New Zealand. Owners Alby and Rachel are lovely people who know how to make guests feel at home. Our cottage, Camellia, was perfect, and offered a gorgeous view of the Firth of Thames. Our breakfasts were just what we needed to start our day, and Rachel recommend some fantastic restaurants and things to do in the area. We can't wait to come back!

Stayed here in the winter of 2013 and had a very lovely stay. The owners were extremely nice with a sense of humour. We arrived late at night and the owners had the heater turned on so our cottage was very cosy. You get a continental breakfast of your choice every morning and they're very casual with times — which is perfect for sleepy heads. The free Wi-Fi was also quite handy and with a good speed. I would definitely recommend staying here, and if I'm ever in Thames again — I'll surely be back at Grafton Cottage.
