Such an awesome place. Practically on Little Manly. The owners are so laid back and so helpful. No pressure put on you to decide if you want breakfast or anything. Immaculate room with best view. I would absolutely recommend it.

We had a lovely stay here. One of the best breakfasts I’ve had, simple and so nicely done. Across the road is the gorgeous little manly beach. Troy is a great host and took care of those extras to make sure our stay was just perfect. We enjoyed the spa bath too. Thankyou!

Everything was amazing loved the thought to include mineral bath salts in the room with the spa bath it was a really nice extra touch we will definitely be back!

Just stayed one night last weekend for our anniversary. Location is great! Would love to come back in the summer time. Great little area to explore. Room and everything was great! :)

An amazing time away for our anniversary, we had the spa suite and it was perfection.

Stayed here on my first night in NZ after being up traveling for nearly 24 hours. Check in was easy and the staff was friendly and accommodating. I thought it was lovely of them to bring up a cuppa tea and ensure we were comfortable. The room was clean and had all the essentials. I appreciated that there was a variety of pillows to use as well. It's right across the street from Little Manly Beach and I fell asleep to the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. Check out was also easy and the service was fantastic. I would gladly stay again.

My son and I truly had a 5-star experience! We stayed here our last night in New Zealand and were treated like royalty. The room was fantastic, and breakfast was absolutely incredible — served to our room and enjoyed on the balcony! Highly recommend this amazing place to anyone!

Really comfortable large room. Great shower. A welcome complimentary hot drink was delivered to our room shortly after arriving. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Would certainly stay again and definitely recommend.

May be one of the best hotel stays I have ever had! Right next to the beach (we had a view of the water) and lots of windows to get a nice breeze in the room. The apartment was large, clean, and well decorated. The owner Troy and his wife are incredibly nice and are amazing hosts. We had breakfast room service which was homemade and delicious. There was also a coffee truck right across the street to get a fresh brew.

Great location. Upstairs room woukd have been better so we coukd sit and appreciate the ocean view. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Room had everything, even plunger coffee which was a pleasant surprise. There was even a heated towel rail in the bathroom. No air conditioning but there was a ceiling fan and a plug on heater for the cooler nights.

Unbeatable customer service. Room was clean and like new. The staff and management go above and beyond.

We had an 'Amazing stay' the owners are incredible and accommodating as we arrived 4hrs late and 2 hrs afrer closing, after flight delays from Sydney. Rooms are spacious and have everything you would expect. Would stay again. Thank you Troy and Tomoko.

We have a team that works all over the country, and many of us have never met each other in real life. We hired the meeting room and several rooms at the Whangaparaoa Lodge. Everyone had an amazing time and they were all very impressed with their rooms, the meeting room, the coffee and food provided, the view and the friendly helpful staff at the lodge. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone else for a lovely holiday in Manly or a get together of any kind. Thank you Troy and team for having us and being such gracious hosts.

Booked friends in two rooms in April. They were very pleased with the accommodation. Nice looking premises with a good beach across the road.

Just walking in, I loved it! Spotless, kind owners, hot tea brought to your room on arrival, nice little kitchen and bath with HOT water! So happy right now.

Nothing short of excellent! The room was more than sufficient for a family of 3. We were very late checking in & Troy was very helpful making sure we were checked in & satisfied with the accommodations. The area where the hotel is located, is wonderful! Gorgeous parks, beaches & great eateries & felt very safe! The room was very clean, well appointed, simple, yet lovely! The bed was very comfortable & the wash room was very large with a great sized shower. We opted for the breakfast. It wasn't unreasonably priced & was fresh & very tasty! I'm afraid Whangaparoa lodge may have set the bar a little too high, compared to my upcoming reservations with other hotels. I chose this property based solely on fellow reviewers. I'd never met Troy, but felt like we'd already met, based on what other guests have said. They didn't disappoint. It's was everything & more than I expected. We'll definitely return!

This was the greatest motel we found on our whole New Zealand trip. Fantastic welcome by owner who left a beautiful welcome card and brought us delicious complimentary ice tea on arrival. We only had one night left of our holiday but wish we had more time to stay here. We will definitely return for a longer stay. Great pillows and comfortable beds. Extremely clean and modern. Was great value for money and would stay here over inner city accommodation in Auckland anytime.

This motel is just the best place ever! the managers are fantastic, rooms are spotless and huge with everything you would ever want… we will always stay here whenever in Auckland… Wi-Fi is excellent, a welcome drink on arrival and nothing is a problem for the managers. Would recommend to anyone who loves a perfect place to stay…

Hospitality is above superb, warmth of welcome and service is exceptional. Troy, Timoko and Sonia made us feel so at home. Their kindness to us helped us relax and unwind after a particularly stressful situation and we slept well which we haven't done in months. The personal touches added overwhelming feelings of being well looked after and being cared for and we absolutely cannot thank you enough. The room was beautifully presented, the information given is comprehensive as to what is offered in the Lodge and what is available in the surrounding area. Being so close to the sea was a real bonus as we paddled and strolled to shake off the cares of the day. Thank you so very much; your kindness to us will never be forgotten and we pray increased prosperity on your business and bless you. You will never know how much you did that really blessed us!

The Hotel owner/operator is a hospitality king. He knows what he's doing. Very well ran motel. Very kind and helpful man.

Nice place to stay. Clean And tidy. Troy is so helpful … he is such a nice guy. Would stay here again anytime… downside like every other motel in nz it's on a main road…

Good location and great place + service.

Wow, what an awesome place to stay. Troy answered the phone call and was extremely friendly and booked our night for us. I told him we would be celebrating my mum's 80th birthday so he gave us extra special treatment and we had the best room allocated. I am sure we should have had a unit of lesser pricing but there was no doubt that this was special favour we were given. There was a lovely personal letter of welcome in our unit. Then he, his wife and family turned up in the evening with a lighted candles on a lovely birthday cake. Thank you so much. You made us all feel so welcome and so special. We loved meeting you and even the good bye waving impressed us. If anyone wants spoiling, this place is THE BEST! We would love to come back sometime, and we say that we have NEVER had such a wonderful stay before, though we have travelled a lot. Troy and Tomoko.
