We have stayed here three times now. Always pleasant.

Big room, thin walls, Noisy at weekends, great location nice bathroom.

Nice hotel. City is reachable by foot in 3 minutes. I booked it for a very good price online.

Nice location of the hotel, walking distance to city center of Alkmaar and train station. Hotel is clean and my room was quite spacious. Even though the hotel doesn't provide lunch or dinner but lots of restaurants choices and eating places nearby. Nice surroundings with nearby park for quick jogging. All and all very nice stay.

Nice to just walk to the shops and little cafe's and restaurants. Also very fairly priced if any accommodation in the European Zone can be regarded as fairly priced. Food and service typical Dutch. Not the most friendly people in the world. They actually think that they doing you a favour to stay there.

A very nice hotel, very close to the city centre, Nice staff has it as well. The rooms are quite large, lacking it does not give you anything, apart from a parking lot. Can't really complain otherwise.

The hotel does not deserve 4 stars. For one night the hotel was acceptable. I wouldn't stay there longer.

— The walls in the room were extremely dirty.
— the room was not well lit and so far too dark and also much too noisy.
— The hair dryer was ancient and did not work properly.
+ Breakfast was OK.
+ The staff was very nice.
All in all you can stay one night in the hotel. For longer stays and if you are not tied to the place, I would definitely choose another hotel.

Efficient hotel with everything clean and correct in the room — very pleasant and helpful staff — convenient location.

Good hotel, very friendly staff, close to the city centre of Alkmaar, can be reached easily by car but also by train or bus. All in all a very nice place to stay if you want to visit Alkmaar and its surrounding places.

Neat and quiet rooms, large bathroom. No restaurant in the hotel but close by there are a lot of options. Good breakfast. Wi-Fi is free an fast enough, power outlets where they need to be.

Superb hotel great staff brilliant location despite being on a busy road can't fault this hotel at all.

The hotel is a bit dated and could use a bit of paint. When you're sleeping at the front of the hotel you have a lot of noise from traffic. We have changed rooms at our stay, the rooms not directly facing the road don't have as much noise. The personnel is friendly.

This is a great hotel close to the heart of Alkmaar. I stayed in a hotel right in the middle of town and it was terrible with the noise. I sounds like an old man, but people partying all night, the church bells go off every 15 min and the birds wake up at 4am. Do yourself a favor and stay slightly away and sleep in. The rooms here are spacious and clean. They seem to have all the typical amenities. Breakfast was good, but a little odd to have to schedule a breakfast time on the weekends. It's a small area so that is likely why. Spring for a river side room, much nicer view.

I've been staying at the Amrath Hotel in Alkmaar for ten years. It has been a wonderful week each time. The people are friendly and helpful. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast is excellent. The beer is cold in the afternoon. The location is on a beautiful canal and it's a short walk into the old city. I'll be back!

Nice clean hotel The parking a bit small for the capacity of the hotel and especially do not speak French.

Quite a decent place. The staff is friendly and professional. Quite a few good places around, great location if you want to walk around.

Very nice hotel, the country is small so don't expect a luxury hotel… Despite this the rooms are clean, the staff are helpful and polite, the mattress is nice hard and the pillow comfortable for a good night's sleep. The price is very convenient, about €70 per night for a double single use.

Great business hotel in a very nice edge of town location. Rooms are practical and pleasant, front rooms are best with a view of the canal and town. Good bar with nice range of local beers. Service was excellent, friendly and very professional. Only minus is no restaurant on site! Breakfast only. I enjoyed myself here and would 100% stay again.

With only a 4 minutes walk to the City Centre this hotel is very well located for a night out in the town. Good sized rooms and the bathrooms contain somewhat larger bath tubs as well. The wall mounted hairdryer was too weak for normal use unfortunately. On the second floor, where we stayed, the room doors slammed shut and did wake us when other guests entered their rooms. Walls seem thick enough to keep most noises from neighbours out. Under the hotel car parking from the hotel was possible, although not many spaces are available. Best advise the hotel a parking space is required before arrival. Hotel doesn't have a proper restaurant but does serve breakfast and has a bar section, we didn't try these. Overall a hotel worth the 50-80$/night price tag, helped by friendly staff and excellent location.
