The hotel room was very plain, and we chose a room without window, so maybe a bit more decoration would have helped to liven it up a bit, so I would suggest a room with a window if you can. The room was very clean and in order and the bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast is served in the pub next to it and the food is quite good. Best part of it was the location. Very close to the train station and also to the city centre, and right in the red light district. The bar at the corner is very lovely as well for a glass of wine in the evening. Our stay was very enjoyable! Hope to return soon!

Hotel in a very convenient location, close to the central station and in a great neighborhood to experience the nightlife of Amsterdam. Courteous service. The only drawback is the cleanliness of the rooms and the fact that not all rooms have a window.

Nice staff Just entered I saw a single bar of soap for 2 people, large broken lamp, abat-jour bulb electrocuted and sock on the chandelier left by guests to avoid the fire alarm. I did remove everything immediately because I was not charged. Fabulous location and good breakfast, although no sweets. I will not stay there again because it is overpriced and I had to add twice as much money to the deluxe room, i. E. Window openable…

Let's start with the positives. This is a perfect location for the traveler that wants to walk around Amsterdam. You are close to great restaurants, good food, the red light district, etc. Now the negative, I was given a room that had no air conditioning, so I woke up uncomfortably hot and barely able to breathe. Also no windows in the room. The front desk was rude about the issues and refused to move me. Poor customer service and false advertising. You may find that the location outweighs the a/c issues. Your call.

Very warm room (warm weekend) and hair was found in bathroom more than once. The room was good for shower as. Pressurw was decent and I a good spot. More. Breakfast was great and along the canal and church. Definitely a place fit for its location.

Dear All, the location of the Hotel was very good but the double room they gave my Parents was completely without any windows. In the night, they said, was difficult to breath.! As I booked it on internet I could not see which room they will assign to them … I think they had to advice us first as we paid for two night 320 euros, or at least reduce the price!

Convenient location, things are very easily accessible. The hotel rooms are very very small. No frills. Breakfast in the morning is at the pub next door. It is pretty good!

France Hotel is located very convenient and the one of peaceful small alley the canal. It is closed ' Town ', ' Red lights Street ' and 5-10 minutes walking from Center station (if your know where you going J
UST 5 minutes), Tourist bus Stop (day tour).
The breakfast is provide in a Irish Bar which are just in the next door from 7-10am. There have friendly staff you can talk to and very helpful who helped me to book Day tour and showed me the activities I C
Ould to did, and Don t forget you can get discount book for some activities in there with free map. The single room are small but clean with free Wi-Fi, and shower is hours and included hair. The room is not a mini bar but they have vending machine and coffee (ask for cup and get machine special for the coins
e) in the reception area.
In general, I had very nice experiences with France Hotel. France Hotel is an economical and convenient hotel, the location is very good to take the quiet place, is the red light district, Bar Street and China Street intersection of the beginning point, near 20 minutes walk within a lot of delicious various types of restaurants. Less than 10 minutes ' walk from the central train station, public transport is also very convenient. The room is good, small but clean, with a hairdryer, free Wi-Fi, but no water, no hot pots, slippers, bathrobes, toothbrush (many hotels in Europe except five stars are not available).

Non-francophone staff welcoming. Cleanliness of the rooms satisfactory, but rooms very simple and dilapidated with regard to the price.
Interesting location near the Central station (Thalys) and other means of transport, in a lively but quiet area at the hotel level.
Breakfast in the Irish Pub located next to the hearty and pleasant hotel in a nice setting and ambience.
Negative side: A high price because very simple hotel…

Good value for the price. Location Perfect But we didn't have a basement room. Breakfast at the pub was also totally OK, super flair super View.

The room with no window in the basement, is enough to sleep but you would not like to shower in the bathroom everything is mouldy and the toilet as well as the sink gluckerten as if it overflows.
The breakfast next to the Mollys was quite okay and you can start the day.
The location is very good… so it's really okay for the price.

The rooms were non-ventilated and the toilet all night dripping, and an incompetent receptionist.

Good location, in a quiet pedestrian street, close to friendly restaurants. Welcome in English or Dutch, no one speaks French. Luggage Service useful to leave your baggage at the hotel on the day of arrival and departure.

Room and bathroom clean, quiet. Located near the train station. The room is a little small.

Nice little hotel. Room was very small but I was only using it for sleeping so it didn't matter. Room was clean and tidy. Overall I was happy with the hotel.

Nice hotel, very close to everything. The absolute best thing about this hotel is the lift. If you know Amsterdam you'll know the cultural struggle there so at the end of a long day a lift is the best. Only down side at all is that the rooms are very hot. Please upgrade to air-conditioning in rooms then it will be 5/5.

Small room for 2 people. A window in the room overlooking that of the neighbors. The bedding had tasks. Bathroom pretty clean.

Central, clean, cozy and quiet. With two steps you get into the main road, connected very well with the Central train station (we got there walking are about 600m). Staff available for any request and large and comfortable rooms.

Good location The room was very clean Good breakfast but outside (in a nice adjoining Irish pub). Recommended.

The location is amazing. The rooms compared to other Amsterdam rooms are spaced. They are warm and cozy with all what you need from a 3 star hotel. The stuff are friendly and helpful.

Very functional Hotel, 5 minutes from Amsterdam Central Station and the popular Red light district. Not recommended for people with reduced mobility. Breakfast in the bar which is in the cafeteria next to the hotel. Close to bars and restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff. I recommend 100%

Budget rooms, you get what you pay for. No windows in the room was odd, but the bed wasn't too bad and the shower was quite good.

We have a small room, with 4 windows over looking a canal, clean, but no cupboard, wardrobe or shelves. Very central, polite, helpful staff.

Room in the basement without windows and unclean, mildew on the base, breakfast in the too Small Irish Pub. Conclusion: Not recommended!

If you are poor this is the hotel for you!
Some of the rooms are under ground, no windows, very similar to an anti-atomic bunker, walls decorated with mold and blood of the previous guests (and maybe more…), bathroom and shower essential, perfect for those who have a past from young Marmot, environment constantly Pervaded by a taste deodorant "pesto alla genovese", the fauna that runs the building, or the staff, is certainly originating from the Dutch prairies; From these they have retained the sympathy and friendliness of the best boars, breakfast is served in a typical bistro of the loco, the Irish Pub next door, also managed by a very gentleman from Irish origins. All this, for a triple 5 days, to the modest figure of €900.
But it also has flaws.

This hotel is comfortable for staying during on several days. Hotel France is location in central Amsterdam. It's very suits for study of historical center of Amsterdam. Friendly staffs, clean rooms.

Very nice personal rooms do not speak French in full red Cartier for breakfast dress up as C is at the tavern next to the hotel.

Basic hotel, but centrally located. My basement room had what I needed: a bed and a bathroom. Perfect room if you are partying in Amsterdam and don't care for frills.

The hotel is situated in the very centre of the city. Very good the cleanliness of our triple. Complimentary breakfast good and plentiful in the pub right next to the entrance of the hotel. No problem at check-in or at checkout.

Great location! near central station, and near almost everything. Simple and very small rooms. A place to put your head to sleep and no more. Most rooms without windows. Pub next door is great!

Good service but room was bellow standart — tiny hatches dont count for Windows. Huge toilet and tiny bedroom is also strange. But the front desk were very nice.

Shabby and bed bug ridden with someone else's hair in the bed sheets. Well located, but unacceptably dirty.

Great place in amsterdam at the edge of the red light district but quiet super street because it is "gay" Street! an adjacent Irish pub or the food super good and cheap.
