Amazing hôtel in the center of Amsterdam. The service and the staff was also just amazing, I can only recommand this hôtel.

Upon arrival at the hotel I was nicely welcomed by the concierge and my car was safely parked in the courtyard.
The serene tranquility that hangs in the hotel, the beauty of the hotel and all that in the middle of the city, made me one happy Lady! 😊 When you get the chance, enjoy a lovely dish at Oriole Bistro which is situated at the Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam.

What an absolutely wonderful family stay we are having at Sofitel The Grand Amsterdam! The rooms are beautiful, the f&b offer is exquisite and the hotel staff is just one of the best we have ever encountered! What a pity we leave tomorrow… but we’ll be back ASAP! 🤩❤️👌🏻

We were in the Maurits suite with a beautiful view over the canal and also a great view on the backside over the old city… since we were here with Corona restrictions it was fantastic to be in this large suite, we had a lovely celebration 🍾

Just home from a wonderful 3 nights at Canal House. We loved everything about it! The decor was luxurious, on trend but sympathetic to the historical building. All staff were very helpful and attentive. Awesome mojito from the bar. And the bed was SO comfy! And the gorgeous large windows were perfect for just gazing out of and relaxing.

Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam is an iconic hotel in the middle of the City. The staff is kind and service orientated. The atmosphere is warm and cosy. There are hidden and unhidden ART treasures to be discovered in the historical building. Shortly, a wonderful place to stay. An oasis in the city center. While you are there, join the daily tour through the hotel by guest relations at 11 am. And until December 1, 2019, visit the photo exhibition “Sanny Views Amsterdam — an artistic view on the city”, located in the lobby, the library and the guest hall. :-)

Beautiful Hotel. Magnificent lobby. Everywhere you looked was picture worthy. The staff was professional and friendly. Couldn’t please you enough. They even give you a tour of the historical building.
The Restaurant Bridges was excellent. Incredibly delicious food and great service.
The room and bathroom were beautiful, large and full of amenities. We even had a canal view which of course was the best.
Location was perfect. We highly recommend!

Amazing hotel. He's all black. The décor is really nice. The rooms are carefully decorated. The view is nice.
On the welcome side, the staff is caring.
I recommend this hotel which is a little out of the ordinary.
Geographically located it is about a 10 minute walk from the train station, and sincerely if you like walking, you can do everything on foot.

Very helpful staff in a quaint boutique hotel situated in picturesque part of Amsterdam made our stay a memorable one.

The hotel is beautiful, the garden is a lovely space to relax. The bedroom was everything we expected and even more. The staff was friendly and helpful and gave us tips of places to have dinner and also helped us taking pictures! If you want to visit Amsterdam in style, the Canal House is the hotel you need to stay. We know you will not regret it.

Here you almost have the feeling of belonging to the city. An excellent hotel with a beautiful small quiet garden to relax in. Super location in the old town, just a few meters from the Anne Franck House. Highly recommended.

This is a stunningly elegant hotel in Amsterdam. The rooms were luxurious and it was close to many shops and restaurants and many of the sites we wanted to see. It is very close to the town square. Everyday there was a wonderful treat in our room giving us more information about their wonderful city in the form of chocolate. The amenities were Hermès. We walked everywhere or took the tram. It was very convenient. They have a guided tour of the hotel as a history of the buil…ding, but we did not have time allocated to do this. I must mention the flowers in the lobby which were gorgeous. Everyday we were welcomed by the staff and the aroma of various beautiful arrangements. There was always a cool cloth and a pastry with a special tea waiting for us in the Lobby upon our return after a long day of touring. The only negative was that we thought 2 1/2 days was enough time in the city and we were wrong. When we left we were said to leave Amsterdam and The Grand.

This is truthful. The way to get in our apartment in Amsterdam. The little Giulio is jumpping up on the stairs to arrive on the top. Even it is difficult, it is funny too. Obviously for a short period. And check your need before going back home… the stair is waiting for you. Amsterdam.

Fabulous place and marvellous staff. We have stayed in many city centre boutique hotels in the world and this was right up the top of the list! We stayed in “the best room” which was just superb. Great breakfast, super customer service with our strange requests for English breakfast tea and a kettle for the room and high quality gorgeous toiletries which I will definitely now buy.

Gorgeous hotel — — absolutely beautiful room, with a VERY comfortable bed and a nice deep bathtub. Very close to the tram line for easy access to the Centraal train station. Helpful staff, tasty breakfast. Will definitely stay here again.

The decoration & general atmosphere is amazing, very chic & glamorous!
The staff was particularly nice and helpful!
We had the most incredible room, with view on the canal, very big, with the bathtub in the middle, very original & romantic.
The decor was again very well thought, velvet sofa & chairs, art books, glass open shower area… it was just perfect!
Location also is great, We could go everywhere just walking…
We were there to celebrate Gay Pride, and I would like to apologize to the hotel staff (and other guests) as we were a big group coming to have fun and unfortunately we were a bit "noisy", We didnt mean to annoy anyone…
On the opposite, We were absolutely delighted with our stay, The hotel, and staff.

This is the second time staying at Canal House and we loved every single minute of it. The staff is the best, super professional and friendly, they anticipate any needs you may have. The rooms are exquisitely designed and very comfortable. Either overlooking the Canal or the courtyard in the back you get amazing views and sunlight. I can't think of any other place to stay and honestly cannot wait to go back and experience Amsterdam the authentic way with Canal House. Love love love!

Very friendly staff. We had a large and spacious room with tastefully interiour Design. Really nice is the view into the garden you have during breakfast.

The Canal House and their staff were unbelievable! Starting from check-in, where the reception desk noticed it was my birthday, acknowledged it and comped a welcome beer, apple pie, and coffee. We arrived early, so they allowed us to drop off our bags while we went out. When we did get to our room, the staff had left birthday balloons and a greeting note wishing a Happy Birthday (also comped 2 glasses of Prosecco during our next visit to the bar). Overall the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast that was included in the morning was a pretty good buffet breakfast (croissants, pastries, cheese, meats, fruit, etc. ). They also offer hot breakfast on order for a really good price. The dining room staff was also extremely friendly and generous. The room was spacious, had nice decor, and had a really unique bathroom. They offer a specialized line of shampoo, conditioner, lotions, and soap which was really good. Each time we came back to our room after our excursions, the room was made up. Great service. Again, we can't say enough how great the staff was and how accommodating they were the whole time we were there. Upon check out, they comped a box of brownies and helped us with information on getting to the train station. Can't say we've had a better hotel experience anywhere else. Thank you so much to the Canal House for all their efforts and for providing guests with a great experience in Amsterdam!

Stayed here for three nights just before Christmas. The rooms are beautiful and the breakfast is really good. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend.

Everything was great. Super location. The room had a great view and balcony overlooking the canal. Easy walking distance to many highlights of the city. Spa and pool was to quality.

Very nice. Staff was friendly and most welcoming and we truly appreciated having a room ready when we arrived after an overnight flight. The location was excellent. We did have a buffet breakfast arranged by Tauck which also was excellent. Will definitely recommend your hotel.

Hotel well located, easy to reach in a pleasant setting. Staff very pleasant and attentive. Spacious and comfortable room. We had a pleasant stay too short to appreciate fully all the services offer this hotel just did. I will return with pleasure and I recommend the delicious restaurant.

The complete experience could not have been better! From the time our door was opened arriving at The Grand, till the time we were sent on our way, the entire staff treated us as if we were royalty. We have never been treated better by any other hotel staff. The front desk staff, butlers, maids, door greeters, concierges, and other staff of the hotel all played a part in helping the enjoyment of our trip. We thought long and hard about which hotel to stay at for our trip to Amsterdam. I absolutely could not be any more satisfied with our choice of The Grand. The hotel was the central point for everything we did while in Amsterdam. Because we stayed there, I think our trip was so much better than if we would have stayed somewhere else. A million thank yous to the staff and owners of this truly fine hotel.

From the moment we checked in the service was top notch. Friendly staff everywhere made us feel very welcome. Room was modern, clean, and housekeeping went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

The staff were all so amazing a professional. The bedrooms a great size and the beds very comfortable. I used the spa each day too. I was travelling alone with my son and felt very safe at the hotel. I will be back next year!
