I apparently haven‘t been too lucky recently with picking hotels as the Stadshotel De Klok is another one I can only give three stars, despite my desire to do more. I had booked a superior room and it sure was big and probably comfortable, but so very cold. It was winter and I was freezing in my room, the heating on the highest setting could not warm it up. The room was big and so was the bathroom, but because of the cold it didn‘t feel comfortable. Getting to the room meant walking up a stair case that has seen better times, with very worn carpets. When I arrived I couldn‘t believe that reception would be inside the restaurant and while staff were friendly, they asked to pay right away and left me with the feeling that they had better things to do. On the brighter side of this review: Great location, right in the middle of the central square of town. Really good breakfast and the staff in the morning were much friendlier. The price also was right for what I got, so if you are looking for a centrally located, reasonably priced, decent hotel — this one might be for you.
Perfect location, but rooms are basic. Not bad, but more for a short Stay.

Nice hotel very central. We had room 15 which was huge if a little cool. Breakfast was plentiful.
