I booked a room for two nights for the beginning of february. I exchanged emails with the owner about my arrival time which was at 10 pm in the night aswell as he reassured me that I will get picked up from the airport. After almost 40 hours of travelling I really wasnt in the mood to experience that nobody was there to pick me up. I had to negotiate with drunk taxi drivers about the price since they wanted me to pay 20 dollars for a ride I could have gotten for free. When I finally arrived at the hotel at 11 pm the whole place, and neighbourhood was DARK. Everything was closed and there was no one to get me checked in. I had paid my room in advance! Now I had to walk with my heavy luggage thru thamel to find another place for the night since the taxi driver left already! I tried to get in touch with the owner the next day and they are still ignoring my emails and the refund I asked them about! DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE!

This is what we were looking for in Nepal. Prices were very much affordable. A lovely homestay in the midd.

Good value for backpackers. Nirvana Peace Home is tucked on a quieter street but borders Thamel. Room was comfy and clean but could have used more practical outlet placing. Bathroom had a few issues: needing to manually turn the tap to fill the toilet bowl each time, only cold water showers, sewage smell. But for the price and friendliness of the staff, it was a fairly good stay.

Nice personel, good food. Life music excellent. Thanks for having best room for recovering after acccident for special price. Will be back more ofrten. Had already good experience before last visit. Sanjay and Shyam and all the others, again thanx.

Great value and location. Certainly more peaceful than being near the busy streets! Some things aren't always in perfect working order, but the staff is friendly and helpful.

HOME in Kathmandu! I've stayed here three times and it's always been a very pleasant stay! Common areas filled with good vibes, hot shower, free Wi-Fi, free storage room, super friendly and helpful staff!
