Nice hotel and peaceful environment… nearly boudha stupa…

I do visit Kathmandu often and live in the boudhanath area when I am there for my buddhism studies, so I have been and seen most of the hotels and guest houses around this area. I don't usually write reviews online but I thought I would sit and write one for Hotel Mudita as it went above and beyond my expectation. Newer hotel with great rooms (checked out a few before we picked the one that was right for us) and friendly staff. From the time we checked in we loved the place, well decorated with traditional art work with a hint of new age flair. Location was the key for me. Close enough for me to get to the monasteries (boudhanath stupa, like a couple minute walk) yet away from the main street. Breakfast was included with the room and had a lot of options. Clean restaurant with great flavors. The rooms and service was great compared to hotels in the neighborhood, rates were slightly above the other hotels but worth every penny for the value and service from the staff. Will definitely refer this property for your stay in and around boudhanath.
