Excellent Service Hotel.

We booked a table of two at spice for seafood night since it's my birthday month. King crab and lobster are usually included in seafood night since we have been eating there for quite a few times. So, as usual, lobster and king crab in buffet menu were expected. However, to my shock and surprise, they were not included in buffet menu. Instead, they have to be ordered, plate by plate. If they were planning to do that, they should have announced clearly at the first place because king crabs and lobster are quite popular among seafood lovers and are expected to include in buffet menu. Other hotels serving seafood buffet specifically announce that they won't serve king crab if it's not included in the buffet menu. When I look at your fb posts, you never post the menu out in the public but send them in messenger as a private info. I booked the table personally on the phone. Yet, you failed to notify me of that change. Why? To lure unsuspecting customers for a one time rip off?! I like seafood buffets and I like eating at Spice. But this feels like a betrayal and back stabbing move to me. So, shame on you! Will never come again and that is a promise.

I would like to recommend this hotel. The food is good, the rooms are clean and always well organized and the hotel staff is always happy to help and give everything you ask for.
Anyone who comes to Katmandu and looking for a good and not so expensive hotel … come to this hotel.

Bad service for today. Not enough staff. Even barbecue is ready, no staff deliver for long time. Not filling water and food. Staff saying, they don't enough staff. Is that five star service. Worst five star in yangon.

I have recently stayed there for 6 nights and it has been as wonderful as many times before. Booked for the Club room on level 8 but hotel has upgraded us for Club suite, room 815.
Seperate check-in and out on level 8, the concierge was so attentive and courteous. Out of many brilliant staffs, a young gentleman called Dominic has been excellent. I have already planned another trip home in December and I will be staying there again.

Love with their friendly staff especially the one that can speak and understand Malay language. Recommended for business trip as the location is very strategic at the centre Yangon town. Walking distance to all coffee shop nearby. Room is spacious and clean complete with details prayer direction for Muslim, prayer mat is upon request.

Great Place. Clean. Good food. Doesn't have medicines. No chemist nearby. Indian restaurant next door is a blessing for Indian food.

Lobby Bar has "best five star happy hour value" in Yangon including professional pianists! Buffet downstairs is good value when "free flow" offered, but upstairs Japanese buffet does not have sake or Kirin beer included in $45 dollar price tag, making it "too expensive" unless you are Japanese "salary man"! Club 5 seriously "deficient". Not worth the price for over priced drinks, beers, and the bar staff do not attend to customers with efficiency. Needs major upgrade in bathrooms, infrastructural improvements. Band is excellent. Need more specials including happy hours. No promotions available to customers. This place has major potential, but poorly managed.

Stayed here for a few times for business. The rooms are nice and the bed is comfy. Had a good sleep. The breakfast is excellent with many choices. Room service is great, staff is super friendly. Will definitely come again with family.

Spacious room. Good location. Loved the Central Train Station which is within walking distance from the hotel.

My room was pleasant, overlooking the small but sufficient pool area. At 1 March 2018, there was some building work going on but this did not interfere too much. The laundry service was prompt and of good quality. There is a pastry counter selling cakes, sandwiches and drinks through most of the day. A nightclub in the basement was open until about 2am. Breakfast is very good, which a selection of Western and Myanmar-style dishes. Eggs are cooked to order. The hotel is well-located: about a 20 minute walk to the Strand Hotel/Ferry Terminal, near a large outdoor market (turn right out of the hotel), and a good selection of local restaurants (turn left out of the hotel). The Shwedagon Temple is a 5-10 min taxi ride (we paid 3000 Kyat).

Luxury hotel with no soul. Slow registration (45 min! ). Restaurant too expensive. Service however impeccable after.

Room was not given ($ 146 CAD at night) but it was worth it.
It is clean, well located, the staff is welcoming and smiling.
I would recommend the breakfast buffet. We took it on site for $20 USD per person but knew it would have taken included in the room. The choice is incredible.
The beds are super comfortable.

This is a hike, the only place in the center of Yangon where you can eat at night time. Here is a normal restaurant of European cuisine (with a splash of Mediterranean, Lebanese and Italian cuisine). High quality, fast, very international. Very clean and modern all. There is a large parking lot. Very convenient location.

Tips : Best to explore the small restaurants (Japanese, HotPots, Noddles) along the side streets, behind the hotel. You can find lots of variety to choose from, and the beers are definitely cheaper. The hotel lobby bar offers 1 for 1 (selection of beers & cocktails), during happy hours. For dinner, do checkout the Chinese restaurant that offer an Ala-carte buffet.

The kitchen is well taken care of and there is a wide offer of meat and fish. The common areas are nicely decorated as well as the rooms.

I had a birthday free myanmar traditional massage. The Spice restaurant service is perfect and I will defenitely come again. However, the spa upset me may be because they thought I came for free. I didn’t feel the hospitality from the lady who gave massage since the start. At first, I thought I was being pessimistic but it wasn’t. I told her it’s abit itchy to get massage in thighs. Then, she said “ ok, so I will skip all the thighs part “. I said, “no, u can do, … Let me try first and if It’s not ok, u can skip “. I said TWICE. She kept saying “ no, it’s thigh part, u won’t be able to handle it “. The customer was saying “ let me try “ and she kept saying “no”. Should this happen? But, I didn’t say anymore and thinking “ ok, this can be because I am Free of charge customer. Let it be”. Then, It came the head part. She said my back muscles are hard. I said it may be because I have kind of spondylosis (kyee baung). She suddenly stopped and told me “ u can’t get head massage. It will make you worse “. I told her “ I don’t think so. I always have massage and I feel better “. She said again “ ask every doctor, u can’t get massage” in a very definite tone. I am doctor. My dad is also a doctor who has cervical spondylosis and having massage everyday too. Even if it makes me worse, she should continue when the customer says it’s ok, isn’t it? How do you think? I felt so upset with her terrible customer service with great laziness to serve her customer.

I expected a lot more for the price, it is an old hotel and it is in need of a renovation. The bathroom, shower and doors, were very old and poor quality. The bed was comfortable. There is construction going on next to the pool so it doesn't look very nice. You have to go through security before entering the hotel. They had 3 restaurants on site and they were all expensive for what they were. We decided to have dinner at the buffet on the first floor, most dishes were just empty, I had some mussels and they were not properly cleaned, very disappointing.

I have been your loyal customer for a long time already (mostly coming for breakfast). Unfortunately in the past year your food variety & service were dropping dramatically. The staff don’t care about loyal customers at all and that’s quite sad. They also don’t know how to handle customer complaints. I filed a complaint and received zero feedback. Invest in training of your employees as with such a variety of places in Yangon nowadays it’ s way easier to find a better substitution.

The hotel is very nice but a little run down in places. The facilities are very good but what really makes this hotel are the staff, simply first class.

Older but well maintained hotel in a centrally located part of Yangon. The staff were very attentive and are always ready to help. The room is well appointed and clean. The hotel provides all the usual perks you will need: fast and free internet, amazing breakfast buffet, and complimentary water bottles.

They do not know how to make a cappuccino. Lots of good cappuccino around town but not here. Sadly. Otherwise a nice hotel. Not sure why they slow smoking in the lounge. Gross.

Good location. Wonderful staff. Bit dated rooms. Bathroom a bit aged beyond dated. Spacious rooms. Clean. Oasis in the chaos. Great gym. Good breakfast. The only disturbing thing are the waiters at breakfast almost jumping at your table once you put a spoon or so down to take it from you. Average 8 seconds it takes once you finished and they are not shy taking your unfinished food ;) That is not very relaxing but maybe their view of good service.
We would come back again.

Dear General Manager, I'm a regular customer in The Music Club and I rated it number 1 in Yangon. It was 2 months ago. But not until my last visit couple of week ago, after your 2 months renovation. And so disappointed that my no. 1 ranking night spot in Yangon, a happening night spot with crowded of people enjoying the music band and lovely ladies to boost up the entertainment environment. Turn into quiet and dull parlour. On that night, I saw quite many other customers came into the club and disappointedly goes off without even calling for drink or stay not longer than 15 second. This is not a complaint or whatsoever, it just my up sad for being telling people, my friends and visitor from others counties that this is the best night spot in Yangon. Regards.

Service excellent, room is old, room rate expensive, very short walking distance does not have anything like shopping and 7evelen. The Music club very expensive.

Best hotel in Yangon. The interior decorations are classic but not so heavy or so out of date. It marches with our culture and also reaches international standard. The conference rooms are very accomodatable and unlike some hotel, the atmosphere is welcome and cool. In my eyes, Traders is a far cry from Park royal.

Yangon hotel, excellent service.

Yangon's best hotel with a solid location, in the city centre near to Scott's Market. One can walk around the city starting out from this hotel, which is managed by a Singapore hotel chain. The pub / disco in the hotel basement offers patrons a refreshing watering hole for the weary and lonely business traveller. Hotel staff especially the chambermaids are helpful and kind, give them a tip US$2 a day. I always do as my mama taught: it is always better to have more friends around in a faraway place in case of a contingency. Be prepared — once a boy scout always a boy scout.

The Park Royal Yangon assisted me with a late booking for a VIP colleague of mine coming from Australia. The front office staff were excellent and immediately arranged for me to meet with Mr. Hasitha Manthriratne the front office manager. Hasitha communicated directly with the hotel General Manager and made arrangements for me promptly. This was excellent walk-in service at a time the hotel was extremely busy — January. I regularly hold meetings in the Park Royal Yangon lobby bar and have always enjoyed attentive and polite service from the staff. The lounge environment is a comfortable respite from the often noisy and hot conditions outside the hotel. Internet of course can be slow, but this can be expected in most places in Myanmar, but is likely to change shortly. The Orchid Club up on level 8 is worth the upgrade, if your budget can justify the slight price difference. The nightclub downstairs needs a little attention and is a tad pricey at 11, 000 kyat entry. Some innovative thinking about what to do with the nightclub should be a high priority for the hotel if it wants to keep its edge and maintain its appeal. Otherwise a great place to stay, do business and dine any day of the week.
