I stayed at Riad Jona earlier this month and I truly felt like I was in a home away from home. I loved the character of the Riad and the beautiful roof top — you truly feel like you're living in the Medina. The food is delicious too! When I come back to Marrakech I will for sure be staying here! Hannah, Samir, Khalid, Youness and Kamal — Thank you for sharing with me your beautiful home and culture :)

My boyfriend and I stayed 6 days in this riad and couldn't have made a better choice. Good location (10mins walk to the main square), very quaint place, clean and nice, excellent staff. The boy Abdul has always been very available for every little thing, for example, offering to solve some problems related to excursions booked by me in another location. It was perfect in everything. They also offer delicious meals, well worth the effort. I can not find flaws in this riad, I really recommend it with the heart.

From the moment we entered the riad we felt relaxed and welcomed. The riad is 15 min walking from the medina but this is a bonus because it is very quiet and peaceful. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. They gave us great recommendations for places to visit and shared tips for local customs. The room was clean and had good comfortable mattress. We loved the pastries and Marrocan pancakes at breakfast. Shukran! We will come back again!

In a word? Fabulous!. Outstanding Riad in a great location and conveniently close to the airport. Comfortable walking distance to the souks and the Big Square. Beautiful room and fabulous dining room. The roof level terrace with small pool and hot tub are perfect. But what makes this Riad SO special are the staff. Without exception a really great bunch of guys who really cannot do enough to help make your visit sooo memorable. And the food?. Well. Let’s just say it’s not worth going out to eat. And the lamb tejene is exquisite. Fatima sure knows how to cook!. Recommended?. Part of me wants to say “no”. Just so you won’t go there and get it over booked and we can hopefully keep this hidden gem a huge big secret. But honesty must prevail over self-interest. It’s fabulous. We ARE going back. Many many times. And we will keep our fingers and toes crossed that it doesn’t get over booked. Go there. And enjoy. But if you’ve booked because of our recommendation tell them that you read jeff & Michelle's review. I’m sure you’ll get a great reception.

A peaceful oasis of calm in the heart of the Kasbah Quarter. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are very good. We really appreciated having this place as a base from which to explore Marrakech.

I recently stayed at the Riad Jonan Hotel Marrakech where do I begin with this the area is very old and the hotel it's self is down a long dark Lane can't get a taxi to and from the hotel you Have to walk down this long! Lane leading to the Riad. The Lane smell terrible local people and markets lots of road works scooters everywhere cats lying around everyehere and small children and Adults begging for money. The hotel so it's basic rooms with dirty old carpets and beds on stone slabs rooms that lock with a key and paddock I'd use in a locker not a Door too a room? Food is expensive and overrated same breakfast every day with maybe a small variation staff are niceish but the hotel is old needs some money spent on it to bring it upto 4* Star it's not even 3* at the moment so basically if you want a Cheap experience in the heart of the Old town and don't want rest and luxury it's fine not my style and won't Ever return.

The staff showed attention and care to us, giving detailed descriptions and Maps, briefing us about the city and booking activities for our group. Breakfast was lovely. The riad is charming and an accurate representation of the typical Moroccan architecture with modern trappings. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Outstanding Morroccan Riad! Exceeded our expectations. Everything from the decor, location, food, cleanliness and not to mention the best staff ever! The staff are exceptional, anything you need they will take care of it! Best service we have ever received from any other place have stayed around the world, we cannot thank the staff enough for all their efforts to help make our stay so special, they make you feel as though you are the only guests staying there. In room massages were amazing :) We will be back hopefully sooner then later! Merci Beaucoup!

Amazing short break with my fiancée for her 40th birthday — beautiful traditional Morroccan Riad decor and the best staff ever! Every need met! And I'm not exaggerating here — the staff help make this place. You will be looked after and will be kept smiling. We hope to return here one day. We have stayed at several Riads in Morocco, but this was the best experience overall. The food was fantastic and the in-room massage was amazing. I cannot thank the staff enough for all their efforts to help make our stay special!

We had an amazing stay! Everything was perfect. We had a big room, big bathtub, great food, breakfast included. Nice rooftop, pool, jacuzzi and bar. Very clean. Great location. The staff was amazing, friendly and very accommodating. Julian the owner personally introduced himself, he was very nice. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend!

When I first got to Marrakesh, as a young woman traveling alone for the first time, I was completely overwhelmed. Between the pushy vendors and the maze-like streets, there was nothing I wanted more than to go straight home after my first long day. Now I wish I could go back spend a little more time, and that is all thanks to Riad Jonan. To start with, the room I stayed in could not have been more beautiful. The traditional décor made me feel like I had been transported to another world. The bed was very comfortable and there was always bottled water in the mini fridge when I needed it. I also ventured outside my room and spent a quite a few evenings reading on the rooftop terrace and admiring the wonderful views. What was even better than the room, however, were the people running the Riad. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was treated with an overwhelming amount of kindness by every member of the staff. Anne and her daughter made me tea on my first night and gave me a brief overview of the city before showing me to my room. After my first unsuccessful day (during which I got completely lost, and found out that my debit card would not work at the atms in the city), I was very uncomfortable going out alone again. I told this to Hassan, who comforted me and gave me advice for dealing with the aggressive venders. He also had a member of the staff accompany me to the nearest bank to pick up wired money, so that I wouldn’t be bothered by vendors again.

Lovely place, fantastic staff that go above and beyond to help their guests. Breakfast is wonderful, hope to return.

The Riad is very beautiful, is located close to the Centre is very. The staff is nice, helpful and friendly. The food is excellent.

I would highly recommend Riad Jonan. We were welcomed very warmly by the staff. Hassan the manager gave us detailed guidance of how to get about in Marrakech/tours. He organised a day trip for us to the Atlas mountains which was an amazing experience. We also went to a Hammam recommended by the Riad and this was extremely relaxing. Our room was upgraded, it was clean and tranquil in the Riad. The breakfast was really good and have never tasted better mint tea. The Riad is located in the heart of the old medina which has excellent cafes, patisseries and tourist shops with so much life and buzz yet its so peaceful in the Riad. It's a 10 minute stroll to Jemaa El-Fna. Hassan, Abdul, Saeed the other Hassan including the other staff were extremely helpful, honest and friendly. From beginning to end they made our stay so smooth I could not fault anything. We will definately be back at the same Riad! :).
