My wife and our friends were meandering the beach and needed to park ourselves somewhere to relax in some shade. The Hip Hotel staff were great with incredible service and attention to detail. We spent the day chillin, eating, and drinking. The beach was a mere feet away and thereafter was the pretty blue waters off of Tulum. Great place and would love to visit again!

Great staff amazing rooms, great food just be prepared to not have Wi-Fi in your room.

The WORST since I got there, there was no hot water, I run out of water for a whole day
We moved hotel because the light went out all day, the room smelled of moisture, I had to change hotel due to lack of good attention.

Excellent service, breakfast and accepted my pets, which is a plus in Tulum.

Amazing place, food and music!

We stayed at the Hip Hotel for the second time after 2016. It's certainly not the cheapest hotel on the Riveria Maya but we found it was worth every peso. The cabanas are very nicely furnished and if you have Ocean-View you can wake up every day with the sunrise (if you like otherwise the opaque curtain stays closed). In addition to the scenery (as if from a travel brochure), the HipHotel lives by the very friendly and attentive staff. We would also come back a third time!

We had an excellent stay in your hotel. Room, cleaning, food and not to forget all the people, Abraham and so many more who gave a super service. 1 little point in the morning, you should give good, dark bread and unsugared yoghurt, healthier and better for the body;).
We stayed with you end December, beginning January (2020) and will come back.

Hotel a few steps away from a tropical paradise. Staff at the reception very friendly. My compliments to the CHEF, the food is really good and all the people involved in the service at the restaurant, very cordial.

We were 14 days in your hotel and it was indescribably nice. The staff was very, very friendly and attentive. The room was always very clean and it is fantastically located. We can recommend this fantastic hotel to anyone … we will definitely be back.

Great hotel or rooms were spacious. All that's missing is a fridge in the rooms.
Unfortunately, we were there last Wednesday and Thursday and the beach was covered with algae. Damage. Not very nice.

Cool hotel directly on the beach with amazing service and a nice restaurant. Pricey but the experience is accordingly an above average one. Big thumbs-up for the room decoration which at times reminded me of a hotel in Morocco. Twin showers get a big hell yeah! Rooms are being upgraded with AC by the way, which is a must specially in the summer and if you don't get tons of breeze.

— We left the hotel immediately as there was unbearable smell from hugely piled up seaweed. — Hotel didn't cleanup even a little, I have recorded video of the condition. — We were not even informed about the issue ahead. — Total day (our wedding anniversary) was wasted and total trip was disturbed — $200 wasted for up & down Taxi (Cancun-Tulum) — We had to book another hotel at last minute for higher prices. — For refund Hotel asks up to reach Agency (CancelOn), but Agency says Hotel is refusing.

Nice place on the beach. But double check the drink prices and happy hour deal when you order as they had changed the deal after our entering. Sign at entrance said 2x1 Margheritas. Went to pay and the bill was much more then expected. They insisted it was 3x2 + a 16% tax. Went to check the front sign and it was removed. They brought out an extra cocktail admitting their mistake.

Rustic stay, but clean and enjoyable. Very attentive and helpful.

Lovely hotel!
The hotel area has little sandy paths between plants, palms and huts that lead to the beach and restaurant. All very charming and with a nice relaxed ambiance.
Our room was spacious, had a great bed, a good shower and a patio with a hammock. Evening curtesy every night entailed having the bed made ready, blinds and curtains closed and a scented mosquito repelling candle lit.
All meals at the restaurant have been very well made, the cocktails at the beach club have been good and the waiting staff is just lovely!
The concierges have been very good at providing advise on where to go and what to see (and what not to) and they have arranged wonderful tours and even had antibiotics delivered with a cab to tread an inner ear infection. Very good service indeed, and always with a genuine interest and care for the gusts.
We had a very enjoyable stay indeed!

Wonderful location on the strip, private beach access. Front desk and restaurant staff are incredibly attentive and amiable, and they serviced our room twice each day. I docked a star for the insane hot water that we got on the first day of our stay (it could burn you) and then for some reason we no longer got hot water after the first night. Nonetheless everything else during our stay was wonderful.

We didn't stay here but we visited for breakfast and drinks. Drinks were reasonably priced at $150 pesos, which is a great price for this area. The tequila/Passion Fruit drink was A+. The rojo enchiladas were a homerun and staff was fabulous!

A little piece of heaven on earth that must be preserved. The staff are adorable, discreet, helpful, and always with a smile. Don't hesitate to ask them for advice on discovering this wonderful region of Yutacan. Do we love it!

(Beach Day Service) The place is cute but it's expensive ($ 400mx). The restaurant serves an excellent brunch, the lunch dishes are plentiful and the drinks are good. They don't demand a tip but if you don't let them look at you wrong.

Very nice and clean hotel with super friendly staff right on the beautiful white sandy beach. Eco Hotel without TV and climate. But who needed in the area already TV and by the fresh sea breeze was the temperature in the room always OK we were there in February… on the great beach there were always enough beds and beach beds… We made some trips to the very interesting environment that The staff were very friendly, the room was very clean and the breakfast was very good. The food in the restaurant was OK and priced reasonable… Besides, good and inexpensive restaurants with Caribbean cuisine are also nearby. Very good hotel… we would love to come back.

A paradisiacal place, but the staff is very little prepared, to register you have to open a credit for consumption with card, and then the waiters (forget the credit) they chase you all the time to charge you if you consumed something. Breakfast a la carte, actually are the choices they give you, I ordered a different juice and then I was charged separately…

Very dark room not air conditioned very very hot, small, sold sea view ' it is necessary to bend to see the ocean by cons music well present if you are looking for quiet you must forget, comfortable hammock detail it took 4h for the room to be ready!

We absolutely loved spending Christmas here in 2017. Everyone at the hotel was so incredibly friendly and helpful and the hotel itself was superb. We had a room with the most exquisite view! Our room was very comfortable, spacious and so quiet (apart from the sound of the ocean). We had no idea if people we in the room beside us which made it great for a sleep in if needed. There are so many huts to hang out under by the beach and the food and drinks service makes it the ultimate place to spend the day. Thank you so much to everyone we encountered during our stay, you made our holiday a great one and we cannot wait to come back!

This was our second year returning to Hip Hotel in Tulum and we had the best time of our lives here :) I have done a lot of research on all the hotels all along the cost of highway 15 and in my humble opinion, Hip Hotel is the best quality for the price you can get. The restaurant is beach front and you get free breakfast every morning. You can wake up in the morning to a sunrise view of the ocean and then walk over to the restaurant for breakfast, where you can sit outside on the balcony and feel the ocean breeze, get a specular view of the ocean while munching on Avocado toast and sipping freshly squeezed juice. The rest of the food is great and reasonably priced. Amongst other things, the menu offers several types of ceviche and fish tacos (my favorites). The rooms are spacious and well equipped and include closet space to store your things. The beach in this part of the strip is wonderful, and not as noisy while some of the best restaurants like Simple across the street are still super close. You can also walk across the street and get an amazing clay massage at Mayan Clay. The staff at Hip Hotel are super friendly and accommodating and do everything they can to make your experience a memorable one. They helped arrange our rental car as well as an amazing tour of the Sian Ka'an Bio Reserve with iTour where we saw crocodiles, dolphins and sea turtles.

Very good hôtel. Everything was perfect. The staff speaks spanish, english and also french. The hôtel is in front of the sea, no more than 20 meters to the water. You can book activities with the staff and then be picked up from there. À really good hôtel.

Amazing beach, relaxed non poser vibe. This part of the Beach is one of the best I've seen in Tulum, eco rooms are really nice and well equipped for Tulum feels like a 5 star experience (for Tulum) *service is great. Stay here to enjoy the sound of the waves when you wake up.

Eco Hotel in Tulum Beach, the rooms do not have TV, air conditioning or hairdryer, but none are missed.
The hotel has own parking something very useful as the area does not park very well.
The rooms are very spacious, have safe and every night you get a complimentary bottle of water;)
The restaurant, very quiet and advisable, especially the "tuna Tiradito", also noteworthy breakfasts for quantity and quality, very rich the toast of cochinita Pibil.

Eco Hotel with a lot of charm. Each cabin has two bedrooms, one up and one down. Being an eco hotel, it has no air conditioning, no TV or phone, but no hot weather and thank you disconnected. Breakfast is included and has coffee or tea in the amount you want, freshly made toast with delicious green tomato jam, freshly cut fruit and a dish to choose from the breakfast menu. Furthermore, the hotel is very clean and attentive, with a meticulous staff that make your stay unforgettable. Definitely a great choice.

Great hotel paid 200$ usd per night and worth every dollar. Stayed 2 nights should have stayed longer. Service was great with a great location.

We didnt stay at the Hip Hotel but we did go there every day on our holiday to rent a bed and and have lunch and drinks. The staff are amazing. By the end of our 2 weeks we got to know all of them and could have found a better spot on the beach to hang out. We were looked after like we were guests and the manager comp'd us two full days for thanks for our custom at the end of our holiday. Truly a company who cares about their staff and their customers. I never give 10/10 for anything as I always think there's room for improvement anywhere, but honestly, this place is spot on. I cant recommend it highly enough. They also have 2 other hotels in Tulum, which are equally fabulous, which we also went to for drinks, lunch and or dinner and they are The Coral and Anna & Jose.

A gem, this hotel is just perfect… The reception is perfect, the staff is attentive and smiling, the beach is beautiful, the restaurant very good… Honestly I can not find any defect in this place, we spent two days of dream.

Rooms are large and spacious. Beaches are beautiful. There's live jazz music at night. Lots of mosquitos though.

Expensive, but worth it. Not all rooms have air conditioning and the price is the same.

Great location, decent little bar/restaraunt and super friendly staff. Only down side is no A/C but I'm not sure anything around here has A/C. Free breakfast is more than you'd expect and quite tasty. Evening menu has fewer selections but everything I had was tasty.

Convenient location with a wide stretch of beach. I also found the the see is more quiet and with less algie than in beaches 2km prior along the road. There are plenty of ATMs around; some will dispense only USD, but most will also offer pesos. Don't exchange money at the airport! The rate is horrible. Wifi is available in the lobby and beach bar at the hotel, but you prob don't want more than that. Great and very friendly staff!

A very nice hotel at the beach. Be sure that you have a room with balcony. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast in the restaurant is also good.

Enjoyed the beach accommodations and the bathrooms were super clean.

Incredible place, in the time of correct you can see the eclosion of the eggs of sea turtles and appreciate this amazing event. On the other hand the rooms are comfortable, the shower and bed are very good (no aa, if a ceiling fan: with the sea breeze reaches). I am hosted in front of the sea, has no TV (but who needs that when you have such a view). The staff strives to assist you. What should improve is the offer in your restaurant despite being a good lacking more vegetarian options. Maybe it's because we are in low season. Pd: one detail, it could put hair dryers in the rooms.

Great hotel near the beach. I wish we have a room on the ocean side but these ones were more expensive. We staid 3 nights, the beach is very nice and you can go to Tulum ruins for 120 pesos in taxi.

Crew excellent and really beautiful place and beach.

Located at the calmer side of Tulum beach, which happens to be one of the greatest beaches we have ever visited. Nice and cosy rooms overlooking beach and ocean. The hotel restaurant is reasonably good with reasonable prices. The proximity to the road and some kind of generator/machinery by the reception area made our room a bit noicy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We sincerely recommend a stay at this place.
