Great boutique hotel. Rooms are very spacious, comfortable, directly on the beautiful beach of Tulum. Monica, the hotel manager is super nice, professional and helpful. Highly recommended.

Great, cozy hotel. Our room (beach front 204) was very spacious, with beautiful ceiling and terrace. The hotel is very small, but it has everything you need for a repaxing vacation on the beach. There are small swiming pool and restaurant on the territory. The food, coktails and wine was very good every time. The breakfast was nice too, they offer morning meal basics: crossants, eggs with sausage, bacon, yogurt with granola and fruits, the only problem I had was the absence of non dairy milk and gluten free bread, but I think you can contact them and request it. Everyone who works at the hotel was super friendly and accomodating, one of the owners Cris is a great guy, he made sure we had amazing stay. Everyone at the hotel does it best to provide guests with great service. There are 2-3 star reviews that say it is not a luxury hotel, well it is not becuase it is 3.5 star but for Tulum standards it is 4 star, Tulum in general is not about lavish hotels, its about relaxation and luxury of being in piece with yourself and nature. Arenablue is perfect hotel for Tulum and for someone who wants to enjoy beach and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean or reading a book in the hammock on the terrace with a glass of wine. P. S.

Amazing oceanfront intimate boutique hotel with extremely attentive staff, very quiet and romantic.

We had an amazing stay here! The staff is lovely and welcoming. Breakfast every morning is included and was delicious. Listening to the ocean every night is dreamy! Room 201 had an amazing full ocean view with a hammock to die for! Not at all the fault of the staff, but anyone traveling to this area needs to be aware there is a seaweed problem all along Tulum. All the hotels work hard every day to keep the beaches clear but some days it is a losing battle with mother nature. We still swam in the sea, but right now it's not that beautiful Caribbean blue…

Such a fabulous little hotel. The entire staff is extremely attentive which makes you feel like you are in a home away from home. Monica, the hotel manager, gave us a very personal check-in experience. Monica walked my partner and I to our room and explained all the amenities the hotel included. Monica also walked the common area during breakfast time and checked in with us to see how our stay was every morning we were at the hotel, she is so lovely! The hotel has amazing access to the beach, you can hear the waves of the ocean as you sleep. Take a shot, its great!

The beach was the best, spacious room and profesional and kind staff. It’s pets friendly (so be aware), breakfast in the room or in the beach was.

We spent a week here recently and it was everything we hoped for. We needed a quiet place to get away, on the beach, great food and service. Fresh squeezed OJ, rich coffee, delicious ceviche and salads and scrumptious tacos. The only thing better than the beach and the food is the employees and owners. Leo and Julio were gracious servers and fun to talk with if it wasn’t busy. The owners referred us to good restaurants and tours. It seemed like the majority of people we met have been to Tulum many times. It is unique and the beaches are heavenly.

Firstly, the hotel is fine, but having stayed in other accommodation in Tulum, it's not as good as portrayed on their website, or as the price would suggest. There's better value elsewhere.
We booked in for 3 nights in October in room 102. The room was as expected, even if some of the fixtures in the room and overall standard of the property were average and poor value for money. On the evening of our first night, we discovered that our room was infested with mosquitos. Not j…ust a few, but hundreds and thousands. We asked for assistance at the front desk and were told we could purchase insect spray down the road. Ha! We waited for a different member of staff to return to the front desk and took him to our room to investigate the issue. We were told that it was not safe for us to remain in the room and that we should relocate to a different room immediately, where we could stay for the rest of our time there. So, we packed up our things after completely settling in and moved to a mosquito free room. The following morning, Monica, who introduced herself to us as the manager said that the room we had moved into was booked that night and we need to relocate back to our original room after they fumigated it with chemicals that day to rid it of mosquitos. When we protested that wasn't acceptable to us, we were told too bad, that we absolutely had to vacate the room or we would be "removed".

Super slow service because they only had 1 waiter and 1 chef. Very good salad, guac and calamari appetizers but too slow to wait for dinner. We brought our own wine ($15 corkage) and the bill was US $150 before tip. Arca is way better. Just remember to reserve a week out. When leaving, I asked about hotel pricing. They said beach view was $500 USD, which sounded incredibly expensive given the cleanliness of the place. It was cute but way too rustic for that price.

+ super staff, — very attentive + guarded area, — and guarded parking + located directly on the beach + many great restaurants nearby — the upper rooms under the palm leaves roof are full of cockroaches (who live there), at night it goes accordingly around in the Zim mer — very restless sea in this place of Tulum — many waves — a lot of garbage and seaweed is washed up by the undulating sea — this affects all hotels here, by the way. (The caretaker tries to clean up the worst every morning)

AVOID THIS PLACE!
The impression one gets from the website and (the price) is of a 5 star property but this is more like a backpackers. When I arrived I found it well below what I expected. I told the manager that I didn’t believe the property was worth the rate ($350 per night) and that there was not even shade on the beach (it was being built). Their modus operandi is to double the rate to $700 and then offer a special rate. This further creates the impression of a high end property – which is not the case. It’s a con. I made a two night non refundable booking and they wouldn’t agree to refund me, I then offered to pay a cancelation fee of one night ($350) again they refused and charged me the full amount. Despite this I chose to lose the money instead of staying in such a place. Avoid!

Never experienced rudeness on the scale that I received from the woman working at check in. Avoid at all cost. There are plenty of kind and sweet people in tulum and she is definitely not one of them.

Arenablue is the best hotel for relaxation and peace. From the minute we arrived we were catered to by everyone. Monica is very sweet and speaks excellent English. She made our checking a pleasant experience and was very attentive to our every need. She explained that Arenablue had been chosen by many turtles as a heaven for laying their eggs. Julio, was also very attentive and told us about the spiritual importance of Tulum as a sacred place for many different cultures. The room is spacious and the bed is so comfortable that I wanted to take it home. =) There is also a nice hammock on the porch to relax with a view of the turquoise blue ocean. The most amazing part is the fact that the room is so close to the shore. Falling asleep to the gentle sound of the waves and waking up to the first sunrise in Mexico is absolutely magical. Staying at Arenablue was not only a relaxing experience, but also a spiritual one. The excellent treatment we received at Arenablue made our stay unforgettable, will definitely go again. The Mayans found paradise and we are fortunate to be able to visit this place. Definitely a must.
