Great experience with very responsive staff.

An amazing experience from top to bottom. Our honeymoon was the best vacation I have ever had thanks to the staff and amazing people at this resort. Ask for Reina she has a beautiful soul and genuinely enjoyed ensuring we had the best time possible.

Love love LOVE this hotel — will always recommend 10/10. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The food is absolutely divine. It truly embodies the definition of a gourmet all inclusive. There are so many activities to do if you would like, or you can lounge by the beautiful pools and beaches. It is a sprawling resort so no matter how many people are there it feels like it is not overcrowded. Each night there is live music at a fun atmosphere, and during the day you cannot do anything from tequila tastings to massages. This is by far my favorite all inclusive Resort end it is worth the money every single time! Can’t wait to return.

The Staff at El Dorado Royale made the experience very special. The Restaurant staff are excellent, Hotel Doctor superb, property maintenance staff keep the fabric and gardens in superb condition despite hurricanes. The quality of the food and the way it is cooked and presented is amazing. The is a broad spectrum of sports, activities and entertainment provided in the hotel, from live music, shows (Mexican fiesta) and the gastronomic delight of a culinary show.

We just came back from our 4th time vacation at this resort! We love great service, food, grounds, rooms. Everything is clean and friendly.

The food at EVERY single restaurant was phenomenal. Chef Martin made a memorable off menu dinner for us our last night of our honeymoon. Our waiter a couple of times, Gomez was AMAZING. Better than amazing. He was attentive, informative and so sweet. Spectacular service! Had a couple of room service delays but they were extremely busy because of the rain. GREAT SPA treatments as well!

The whole stay this past week for our honeymoon was amazing. The staff are excellent from the butlers to the waiters an the desk workers they are all very polite. We will be visit again soon.

Love this place! Service and location is fantastic, rooms are spacious and well maintained, there are lots of different activities to do and they have an awesome spa. The Bali beds on the beach by Kick grill was our fav spot here. Our butlers Alvaro and Rafa were super attentive and very friendly and our house staff Alejandra did a great job! Will definitely come again!

Everyone is so nice and helpful. Great restaurant. The one by the big pool is the best one. Try their fish tacos Baja. Yummy!

The grounds and facilities are beautiful, and the food was fabulous. There are pools and activities for as much or little as you want to do, and the staff was friendly and professional.

Absolutely amazing experience! Concierge is the best! He even went into Cancun to find me authentic marionettes to bring home. Atmosphere is great, drinks and food are great too.

Everything in general spectacular, the attentions magnificent, the food delicious and super luxury.

Wonderful 1st all-inclusive trip to Mexico. Resort was beautiful with lots of choices for pools, drinks, & food!

I've traveled quite a bit. But never stayed at such a beautiful and complete resort. The staff here has gone over and above to make all of us from the US feel like we're home watching the Superbowl… Nachos, Buffalo Wings, Burgers, Hot Dogs, Ribs, Mozzarella Sticks, Jalapeño Poppers with a bunch of desserts (including Churros). So thankful for their efforts. Well Done.

The staff were so nice and accommodating to our needs. The best part that we didn't know when we booked, the resort has a sea tortoise sanctuary where they protect eggs and help release the baby turtles into the ocean safely. We saved some babies from the pool and took them out to the ocean. Being able to hold baby turtles and help save some was the best part of the entire trip! We even witnessed a mother turtle dig her best to lay her eggs! I absolutely recommend visiting this resort if you are needing a relaxing getaway.

We *loved* our stay at EDR. A phenomenal experience. The grounds are meticulous and the staff very friendly. The resort also made travel and excursion transportation an easy process. We have very few dislikes in regards to EDR, (such as waiting for golf carts and the room fridge not staying stocked) — which could've been because we were there off season. The minimal dislikes we had are very easily overlooked by the big picture. We'll surely be going back sooner than later!

The staff cannot do enough for you, nothing is too much trouble, nice & polite too. The food is amazing & the hotel is set in idyllic surroundings. Have been twice & really wish I was there now!

Adults Only … lovely spacious clean rooms, food choices, all restaurants top quality, wonderful relaxing place … great staff, good entertainment … Just everything really.

This was our second time to the resort. It never fails to amaze us. Staff was awesome. We went with our friends who are members. Swim up suite is fabulous! Moises who was our roving beach butler was awesome. It’s so cool to laze around in the pool in your swim up suite and have someone bring you drinks! The food was amazing as always. Those who whine about portions are to used to American oversized portions. We will definitely be returning!

This is one of my favorite places of all time! I got engaged to my wife here and we went back a couple years later and had an absolutely amazing time both trips. Everything is top of the line and beautiful, the people are amazing (both guests and employees) and the food is world class. We will definitely be back again and recommend it to anybody thinking about visiting Mexico, it's the best resort out there, period!

Always an amazing experience when we travel to this resort, from the food and staff to the littlest of thoughtful details. Karisma has 5 star service mastered hands down!

The food came at a cost of waiting or reservations. Good quality but thats expected at a 5 star. This is not a 5 star. Everything is too dated and the resort relies on you spending too much extra cash for it to feel comfortable. Royal guests are not allowed in either side due to "exclusivity". My fiance was escorted out of these areas "twice" while I was at the washroom. Beach was over run with workers and tractor. Ugliest beach Ive seen in Mexico. Garbage dump on South side of property. This stay made me sad for Mexico. And even sadder that people think that this is a great resort. Mexico offers sooooo much better. Look elsewhere trust me!

Clean resort, friendly staff, safe place to vacation in Mexico. There is a lot of choices to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. The resort has free activities to do all day. If you want to spend money do the Bali bed massage. It is well worth the money. Two people bring you food and drinks from 9 to 5 on the beach. You also get a massage. The country of Mexico is having a problem with sea weed. The resort has people on the beach cleaning it up. We will be back.

Excellent customer service. Highly recommend the casitas area which has much nicer and more luxurious rooms. The restaurants were all great and so was room service. Beautiful property with lots to do and great shows and activities. Had an awesome circus show one night and tequila tasting in the afternoon. The entire staff was so amazing and helpful at all times. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful time at El Dorado Royale! Having never been to Mexico, I must have read hundreds of reviews trying to pick the right place and I'm so glad that we chose El Dorado. The staff were some of the nicest people I have ever come across when traveling. The grounds and rooms were constantly well-kept. We loved all the restaurant options and never had a bad meal or drink! We spent most of our time at the swim up bars and pools. The beaches are experiencing sea weed problems but that did not stop us from relaxing on the beach a few mornings. I also loved that there was plenty of shade options. Special thanks to Ramon at The Spot for making us feel extra welcome. We will definitely return.

This place is beautiful! We meet people that had been there 9, 10 even 15 times. The food is off the chart. If you decide to go and want to discuss membership ask for Denise. She is a gem. My daughter chose this resort for her wedding next year. We will go back before then for sure. We have been in many resorts through the years so I say this from experience… this place is awesome. Will be visiting the property in Jamaica too.

We stayed near the “party pool” in Unit 6. Very close and convenient to the places we love at the resort. Pool was too warm for us so we found a hidden gem in the “Health Bar” pool with quick access to beach so we went back and forth — great cooling winds on beach although water was full of rocks and seaweed so couldn’t enjoy the surf or walking on beach and into water at this resort. (Or at least til seaweed season is over). Loved the Health Bar food and juices and Jorge was excellent! Always coming around with goodies and ice cream (between 2-3pm). Units 1-5 Swim Up “premiere suites” are excellent choices. Loved painting our own ceramics at the “party pool” (ready the next day) and half the price and more meaningful/personal than store bought souvenirs. Get to breakfast at main building early (7-8pm) before it gets crowded. D’Italia at the Casitas side excellent.
The best though was the Mexican restaurant by the saltwater pool and near “The Spot” (another hidden pool/bar/lunch spot) on the far south end of the resort. If you want a “bed” by any pool get there by 7am, they go quick! All in all was a beautiful resort, gardens/grounds beautiful, food great and service excellent!

This resort was awesome! The entire staff was so friendly and welcoming, check in was smooth and easy! We arrived before our room was ready and we still had access to everything. The pools were all clean and well kept, a lot of choices for places to eat, activities throughout the day and night. It was the perfect vacation spot, it could be quiet if you wanted it to or a lot of main hang outs to meet other people too. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone!

The beach is not great because of all the seaweed washing up, this is called nature and they are on it 24 hours a day.
The staff are fantastic, the resort is fantastic, the only problems we had with this resort are the beach as mentioned and the Americans that come for a long weekend. Oh let’s have an American pool party and get absolutely battered, they take over the pool bar, swear and smoke in the pool.
Is this acceptable, no I don’t think so.
Would I come back?
Yes I would, the staff are so good, maintenance fantastic.
Food, some better than others, but all very good for all inclusive.
I would say you need somebody controlling the pools, other than that.

Attended a destination wedding at this resort. The grounds and buildings are well maintained and attractive, the staff very friendly and were always helpful. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious, that’s the positive. The place is a wedding factory, the beach was covered with seaweed and was not useable. The maintenance golf carts along with the shuttles are very annoying we were constantly moving to the side of the walk ways to let them by. The food was terrible, I had the rack of lamb at the Italian restaurant and I couldn’t cut it off the bone, breakfasts were OK. I do not recommend this resort.

Fantastic hotel and spa. Everyone who works here is so friendly and welcoming. Food is amazing as well as the spa treatments. Very clean and tidy and well maintained throughout. Only downfall is the amount of seaweed on the beach each morning, however they do have people working in the beach to clean it every day.

Great place to enjoy a relaxing holiday with or without your family. They offer space for adults only which is super essential if you want some freedom and peace. Everything is a decent walk from one place to another. The rooms are well spaced out and design very well. The in room jacuzzi serve as a great point in place to wind down from a day in the Sun. Liquor is available from all walks and quality levels. The room service is prompt and fairly good. Given the amount of customers they have to cater to, they do a pretty good job of accurately delivering what you ask for. In case if you're worried about walking from one point to another they're always trolleys constantly running to take you there. The biggest point of criticism for me is the excessive amounts of seaweed. This time of year I'm guessing the tide's bring it in. This is my second time here and all in all I would recommend this place.

The resort is beautiful and well-maintained. Our room was large and nicely decorated. We upgraded to an ocean-facing room, so the view was gorgeous as well. The service is amazing here. Every staff member has been friendly and helpful. The food really is a gourmet experience and even casual dining is exceptional. If you can, stay at this resort and just relax. Everything will be taken care of for you.

Luxurious, all inclusive resort in Riviera Maya! The resort is beautiful, plenty to see and do. Restaurants are wonderful and bars are everywhere! The staff is beyond helpful and friendly! This is worth every peso and we would definitely vacation here again! We were here for a friend's wedding and it was a perfect destination! Loved every minute of our stay!

Beautiful, relaxing, friendly, nearly perfect. I have only one complaint and it's a really minor one. One evening my wife wasn't feeling well and we just wanted to stay in our room for dinner or get something quick. There was no option to do this. We actually had to go back to our room and change out of our beach clothes (shorts and t-shirts) into something that met the dress code for dinner (jeans and button up shirt for me, nothing fancy) because there isn't anywhere in the resort that doesn't have a dress code for dinner and room service isn't available at that time of day. It was annoying, but we still got a wonderful meal and enjoyed our evening.

This place was amazing! Room service came around the clock. Staff was great. Made you feel like you were important. Our maids fixed our rooms 3x a day when we left. The beach was beautiful to look at but there were barriers that restricted you. I was in a wedding next door at Generations. It was breathtaking. Weather was great! Food was pretty good. I loved all the inclusive buffets. The other Restaurants were good. Food portions are smaller than you’d expect but you can order whatever you want how many times you want. Overall excellent! Service is amazing!

4-Diamond Hotel, a large all-inclusive that shares space with the Dorado Casitas Royale and the Riviera Maya generations. Which opens up the opportunity to have an excellent experience.

Very nice resort with several pools including pool bars, spacious rooms and excellent food. Several restaurants with different offers are available on the premises. Everywhere the food was good to very good and the selection top notch. The sea looks good but is less suitable for swimming. But there is enough pool area to balance this.

A beautiful honeymoon! We were in the Casitas part (small private house) just gorgeous!
