I highly recommend Suites Fenicia— the hospitality is unmatched — Tony and Laurie are the best hosts EVER. Our room was spotless, the housekeeping ladies are professional, yet friendly and warm. There wasn’t a request that we made that went unfulfilled— food was wonderful, pool was clean and perfect on hot days. If you’re looking for a place to feel at home, look no further.
I spent a couple weekends here this summer and LOVED my experience. The owners live in one of the suites and will drop anything to help. I forgot to print tickets to the zipline place I was going to before my trip and Laura (one of the owners) let me email it to her and printed it off for me. She also gave me and my group vouchers to redeem free prizes at XPLOR. Laura and her husband constantly bent over backwards for me and my group. I have never had better hospitality than when I stayed at Suites Fenicia. I consider Laura a dear friend and hope to return and visit her in the future! The location is also within walking distance to the beach and 5th Avenue (famous souvenir street with amazing restaurants). The suites are all decorated authentically and the A/C is super refreshing. The little pool outside is really clean and a great temperature. But the view from the roof was my favorite part! You can see the whole city and enjoy the sunrise/sunset from the comfy day beds. I will definitely be staying at Suites Fenicia when I return to Playa del Carmen. :)
