Stayed at this hotel during the last week in April 2018. The hotel is very clean and the beach/water was clear and beautiful (minus the seaweed that was there during some hours of the day). The food was overall pretty good (especially at the sushi bar surprisingly) and the margaritas were the best we've had. Overall we would recommend it and really enjoyed our stay. The only downside is that the drink selection isn't too varied (plus the wine was served a couple times too warm for our taste) and that the wildlife is really lacking. We didn't see a single fish in the water near the hotel. Not sure if this is common for Cancun, but if you like wildlife you definitely will want to stay elsewhere in Mexico (or just make sure to schedule diving or snorkeling tours like we did).

The people are super nice and the food options are good. Make sure you get up early and grab towels to save spots by the pool as they are usually gone by 7. Make reservations for the local dinner as soon as you arrive as those also fill up quickly. Highly recommend the Al Pastor tacos from Viva Mexico by the pool. Amazing authentic tacos. One of the servers there, Edgar, will make sure you are well taken care of and will make you laugh as well. Everyday there are activities at the pool and there are plenty of places to swim and cool off!

Nice resort hotel with very nice service. The property is about 30 years old and shows it in a few places but overall it was very nice, clean, well-run… an enjoyable vacation. I'm not a fan of double beds and the rooms seem large enough to hold queens so I'm not sure why they are sticking with the smaller bed. My daughter was on crutches and the primary path to the pool level required use of a large staircase. There was an alternate route that provided a small elevator but that added several hundred meters to the trip to the pool.

The hotel is very nice. Arriving all are very friendly and available to help. It has several pools and many restaurants to choose from. The room is spacious but if it had marks on the walls and the bathroom was not very clean. The view of the rooms is very nice. The only thing was if I found a cockroach the first night.

We flew from New York during Thanksgiving, and started off great. As soon as we got off the Expedia Shuttle and into the lobby, a welcoming man came in and took our bags, and asked us what a broad choice of drinks we wanted. We checked in, and another man at the lobby asked us if we wanted to make any reservations and great amount of restaurants, and instead of bombarding us with questions, he let us take our time. We got in the lagoon-view room, and found a mini-bar full of free drinks, unlike many hotels in the United States which charge. The beach and pools were amazing and so were the Mexican and Asian restaurants.

Our stay was the best! I had my vow renewal there and everyone was awesome! Jesus our coordinator took care of everything from planning to getting everything ready for the big event. Bruno stepped in and made sure that everything went without a hitch! The location of the hotel is by far the best and the place itself is clean and very beautiful. The food was great and I recommend all their restaurants. All their food was excellent and fresh! The drinks were great and the view was spectacular! They had events and popup shops everyday we were there and had shows for us to enjoy! I cannot wait to return! The staff is the best part of this hotel everyone and I mean everyone is very nice, informative and helpful in everyday! They look out for your pockets as well! They will recommend places where you wont have to over pay for items you might need outside of the hotel. Will definitely be coming back again! They made it a home away from home.

This is an absolutely gorgeous all inclusive resort with wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. The hot tub could’ve been a little warmer in the spring time but other than that I have no complaints. I 100% would recommend this place. Be sure and book your reservations to the nicer restaurants right when you get there because they fill up fast.

The check out is at noon, and you cut the handle so you have flights at night cut all the services of the Hostel, for the rest is a good Hotel.

Can not say enough positive about this place. The resort and staff were wonderful. Very clean and well maintained. Perfect scenery and great pool and beach front. The staff went out of their way to make you happy and to enjoy everything about your vacation. Will stay here again in the future. Absolutely wonderful resort!

Beautiful! Everything super clean, we were catered to "King's body", the beach is the best it is a hotel where you don't have to get out of the for anything, everything you find in your shop or the same hotel provides you! The rides outside (Chichén Itza, Xcaret, etc. ) you can get there.
The service in their restaurants is exquisite, varied food and very fresh! At the Sushi bar probe several rolls, the Super friendly chef prepared me small rolls to try out several ingredients (try the banana). The rooms and everything in general is really what they offer you. The pictures are real! Thanks a lot! Two of my best trips and I will definitely come back!

Sooo good food in the morning.
Good beach, pool, room. The bed was super nice and comfortable.
They stress you and push a lot with the sale of memberships and packages. I was able to get them back on my second stay.
Now that I have kids, it wouldn't hurt to be an all inclusive hotel. That's why I prefer to look for another option. And I never find promotions. For everything else. Excellent hotel.

A very nice atmosphere and activities on the part of the hotel. I won a Mariachi hat! Definitely a good choice.

I read so many reviews on the Omni and was concerned with a few. We have been to the moon palace and really liked that hotel, but after going to the Omni we were impressed. The staff is amazing. The food at all the restaurants was very good and the breakfast buffet was good. If you can’t find something to like here then there’s a problem. We had no problems with hot water, no problems with anyone asking us about a vacation club, no problem making reservations. We had a really nice room with a beautiful ocean view. The ocean is beautiful and we had no problems getting chairs during spring break week. We plan on going back next year and bring a larger group with us. We also met some great friends that we plan on staying in touch with. The Omni is definitely a four and half star all-inclusive in Cancun.

Love this place! Very clean and kept up well. Overall service is great. The concierge is incredibly helpful. The beds in a double room are a bit small, but overall the rooms are nice clean, and comfortable. The only reason for a 4 star review is the food. It's not outstanding, but overall you can find something you like.

Just arrived home yesterday. Very clean, amazing staff, beautiful beach. If you have a reservation at the 3 restaurants, the food was delicious. The other food was same thing every day/night. Entertainment was to early, not much activity after 10:00 pm. Pool bar and grill was fun. They did the best to keep people involved. Again, ended to early. Over all I would give the resort a 3.5 Rooms are spacious and CLEAN! TIP your house keeping person. They work extremely hard. Beds are comfortable.

I would first like to say, that giving this hotel a one star is far beyond what it deserves. In hopes of having an amazing vacation with my fiance, the reality was it was far from amazing! We got home to being covered in bites from head to toe. That's right, scabies! This not only forced the both of us to throw away all of our clothes and shoes and some from our trip, but it forced us to require to be home bound after already being off of work for a week. This put us in quite an uncomfortable situation. To top it all off, when our travel agent contacted the hotel for some sort of compensation the hotel declined and dismissed the whole case. We were so disappointed with how they handled this matter, that we will surely tell everyone to stay away from this hotel. That is unless you too want to bring bugs home!

Very clean areas and in good condition. Very friendly and helpful staff. The food I did not like, little selection and humble category.

The hotel was ordered on the Priceline to be 4 stars and half, but not at all. We one o'clock in the afternoon to the hotel, the hotel lobby will help you take your luggage back to the room, to the room to ask if you can put the bed together. He said he could, and then he took the tip and walked a day and there was no one to help us! And then I spelled it myself! On the first day of check-in, I found the sheets were stained with blood, which made me feel sick.! The hotel has 6 restaurants, but there are 3 of them to be booked to eat at night, or they have to eat buffet every night (buffet is almost the same every day) because the other two restaurants are closed five o'clock in the afternoon. We went to the theme park at 7 o ' clock at 7 o ' clock, and then because the restaurant staff were out early and the hotel couldn't make a reservation for the next 2 days, it was impossible to understand why the hotel would be like this. The most important thing is! This hotel is all about money! If you have money to tip, the waiter's attitude will really be good to you! But if you don't give a tip, they'll really just ignore you! In a word, I will never go to this hotel again! Because the sheets have blood, which makes me feel sick.

We've been to Cancun 6 times and have stayed at the Omni the last three. I've read some of these reviews and wonder if we even stayed at the same place. We've had nothing but a wonderful experience each trip. The staff are extremely friendly. I personally choose a hotel for the pool and the beach. That is why we keep coming back to this hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel. We will be back!

Great location. Large pools. All-inclusive with several places to eat. Easy access to bus transportation to go to several other businesses. Many tours to choose from. Friendly people.

Excellent hotel. Everything is as seen in the pictures. The room was clean and the food was very good. It has 7 restaurants and 4 swimming pools. The staff were very friendly and friendly. Really 100% recommended.

One of the best resort in Cancun, the attention of all the staff is unmatched, a cool! And the food pffff a delight!

We stayed here around Christmas and it was a pretty good experience. The beach was gorgeous and the room was very stylish. They had free nightly shows which were very entertaining. Don't miss the Michael Jackson show! The restaurants were better than some we paid for and there were always room. I only have 2 complaints. Our first room had ants but they upgraded us after we complained. All of the drinks are horribly watered down. Everything tasted like light beer.

Super recommended. We stayed a day longer than anticipated. It was a paradise. Staff, cleanliness, amenities and excellent care.

This hotel was a fantastic place for our stay. The room was clean, and the view of the beach was beautiful. The overall grounds where well maintained and clean. The pools were clean as well and relaxing. There were plenty of delicious variations of food to choose from throughout the hotel. The beach directly in front of the hotel was clean. We also got to see sea turtles lay their eggs on that same beach. Our stay was as you can see five stars, and if we ever return to this area of Cancun I will definitely prefer this hotel.

Very good place, good predisposition of all your employees and excellent quality of food. Maybe they lack more people attending on the beach and some more entertainment, but our stay was very enjoyable.

In many ways, staying at this resort is similar to going on a cruise. The weather is great, the staff is super friendly, and since it's all inclusive, you get all of the food and drink that you can eat. There are entertainment directors to liven the day up, and shows just about every night. Unlike a cruise, though, there is much more space which means it's not as crowded. This resort has five pools, including and adult only Jacuzzi bar and another Jacuzzi for kids and adults. The beach in this part of Mexico is fantastic, with crystal clear water and ocean waves to play in. The areas that are safe to swim and the places with the worst riptides are both clearly marked. There are at least seven restaurants at the resort, all of which are included in the price, ranging from casual with your feet in the sand, to formal that has a strict dress code. Unfortunately, I found that the more formal restaurants didn't have the best service, or even very good food. Happily, the buffet was better and almost always open.

Stayed here mid December 2017. Enjoyed all the restaurants and amenities. Souvenir shop seemed to have reasonable prices. The staff is superbly trained in courtesy and super friendly and helpful. There was some noise next door with another hotel renovation. And we heard a baby crying off and on the first night. We think they took baby in the hallway to calm it… but woke us up. The shower water is tepid… do not expect hot or something close to comfortably warm. Hit and miss with this. Otherwise, we're going back again… not in high season though … lol too many ignorant tourists with no class… not everyone wants to hear you complain about everything in your southern drawl… sadly one bad egg in whole week there stuck in my mind.

Wonderful hotel with amazing beach view and hotel facilities. Staff are nice and helpful except for the staff in Da Vinci restaurant who was kind of rude and hurrying us to place order. Also the restaurant is supposedly formal but did allow people with casual attire which was strange. Food was okay and much hyped. La Paloma nightly themed dinner was best. Though it is sea food delight, we expected some more chicken and veg. Dishes. The hotel had some or the other events going on fir the guests which kept the mood lively throughout our stay. Villas are worth the price and with included amenities you will enjoy your stay. Room service could be better and couple of staff could have been nicer. However overall its worth staying here for a nice vacation.

Beautiful resort. My only complaint is they talk to you at check in too much. Let me settle in, come find me on the beach, I'll listen more. At check in, I want to see my roon, change, get a drink and may need to use the restroom. A two minute conversation was 15 and then the bell boy did the same speech. B. S. I wanna relax not be bombarded with information. They are welcoming and happy that you are there. Speak English well, attentive to your needs. It is clean, well maintained, food was wonderful and they will bring you anything you want. I highly recommend this location.

As my first trip to Cancun I was unsure what to expect. I arrived at the resort and it was beautiful, clean and everyone showed a great level of hospitality. Erick at the Front Desk was great in welcoming us in and getting us settled in our rooms. Ready to answer any questions and even showed us multiple rooms for our liking. Ocean View was perfect! Food was good as there was also something I liked available in the different restaurants or buffet. Orlando was definitely the most memorable waiter we had at the restaurants. He went out of his way to explain what was available and make recommendations as needed. Pools and Resort area were spotless. Kudos to the maintenance team. Beach was great for tanning and areas of relaxation. There was a female waitress that tended to the lounge area by the Pina Colada. I cannot remember her name but I do recall her great service and attentiveness to our drinks and conversation. Lastly, I was there for a wedding and that was also great in the Maya Room. Good sound acoustics for the music, great buffet style food and the wedding party had a blast. Thanks for a great first experience in Cancun. We will be back!

Outstanding long weekend at the OMNI! I was last at the Omni in 1993 and I remembered it being very nice. Since then, it's only gotten better. The service was some of the best I've experienced at an all-inclusive resort. The staff worked hard & were there to bring us whatever we wanted and answer any questions. They were friendly and welcoming. Food was really good at all the restaurants. Hotel was clean and rooms were nice! I would stay there again anytime!

An excellent place to rest with an attention from the surprising staff of maximum quality has a bar with hydromassage on the beach.

The place is very nice, the attention and cleanliness is very good, the staff is very attentive and polite, what is not very good is the variety of restaurant, they offer 8 and only are open 2 or 3 for meals and not this good.

Exceelente attention. Delicious food in all the restaurants. Only some limitations when applying for restaurant turns where it was required.

Best experience. Every single person we met was super nice, helpful and very friendly people. All the retaurents were awesome. Some of the servers even remembered us. Specious and very clean room. Great view. Every single penny we spent was worth it. Love love love this place.

We just got back from Omni Cancun — our third annual October visit. This one was absolutely different from the previous 2. They had previously welcomed us (our anniversary trips and they were told this was #53) with swans and rose petals and a bottle of bubbly. This time they moved us into 3 rooms before one was right. The first was not ocean front as was promised. The second had not been cleaned. The third and final had no internet until they finally came and installed an Access Point. And it only worked for 5 of the 7 days. The food was ordinary at best. Kids were loud and undisciplined. We will definitely look at other of the many available options. I feel that Omni owes us something. We paid Omni prices for a Motel 6 experience.

Absolutely amazing. In great food and all of their restaurants including their specialty restaurants and beachfront restaurant. It has a private beach with Cabanas. Every night during the Spring and Summer they release baby sea turtles which in itself was an interesting experience. And on top of all the Comforts and ease of home the staff was accommodating in every manner imaginable. This was by far the best vacation I've ever had and I would recommend the Omni in Cancun to anybody.

We spent a week at the Omni Cancun hotel and had a wonderful time! The hotel is beautiful and the grounds are lush and we'll manicured. The service we received was beyond awesome. We would especially like to thank Francisco, Orlando, and Aureilo for going the extra mile to make us feel welcome. Thank you Omni Cancun for a wonderful relaxing week!

Love this resort, great food in most places, the taco place is fantastic and just perfect after a few cocktails. Antonio at the pool bar is amazing, never an empty cup, keeps the drinks coming without even asking. Overall best place to be in Cancun, timeshare folks didn't bother us at all, guess we set the expectation that we would not be interested from the moment we got there, and they respected us and left us alone. Love this place!

Fell in love with this resort! Fantastic staff that treat you like royalty! Room is clean and resort is spotless! It's all-inclusive with amazing food and drinks! Multiple pools available. Daily activities on-site, some family-oriented. Kids camp available as well. Each night you can enjoy a live show/presentation!

Beautiful grounds and resort. Staff is very friendly. I take it down a notch because of the effort the sales staff goes to in trying to acquire you as a club "timeshare" member. They are fixated on showing you the numbers that its mind numbing, and deal with numbers all day. There effort to layout "the numbers" and specify what they mean is completely ineffective. The rep we spoke with jotted numbers and calculations on yellow legal pad in such a way that I would be surprised if anyone make heads or tails of it. He just looked at us when he was done seemingly expecting us to be excited and to say Yes, sign us up. The whole process was a joke. Take all that away and this facility is magnificent with its friendly staff, great service and pool options right on a beautiful section of beach. For that we had a great anniversary celebration.

Hotel itself is beautiful. We have a beautiful view from our balcony and we liked the shows we have seen. However, bar service can be pretty slow and we could never get the king bed we requested 6 months in advance. Even though we were told more than once we would have one it did not happen. We have also had much better service at other resorts in Mexico so we would be staying at one of those on our next trip.

Beautiful resort. Enjoyed our stay and will return. Restaurants were wonderful and service even better. The DaVinci Restaurant was wonderful. Luis Emnigue was a wonderful waiter and made our dining experience even better. Gilberto at the pool bar was also very accommodating. Beautiful resort, clean and beautiful. Staff excellent.

The service was 6 stars. The people there were very friendly and caring. The food was great with a lot of options. Our personal favorite was the Indonesian cuisine. Recommended desert: Fried ice cream! The average temperature in our summer visit there was surprising 82 degrees F, with a couple a rain showers and one big storm. Overall, my family really enjoyed the trip including the tourist attractions offered by this resort. Definitely a luxurious vibe from the minute you walk in the hotel. It is a cruise on land!

My visit was for a required rest period for work that totaled only about 11 hours. The property was very pretty, numerous pools and a beautiful beach with lots of lounge space. The numerous on-site restaurants are ideal to centralize your stay and provide clean and safe food. Numerous complementary benefits as well as a top-notch gym and spa experience. The rooms were comfortable, and the blackout blinds were perfect to catch some day sleep for an all night report to work. I would consider a return at my own expense in the future, in the meantime, I will back in 12 hours again with work!

Beautiful turquoise water, soft sandy beach, great food, great service, plenty of beverages… what more could we ask for? There are just enough activities to keep you busy if you wish. The staff is very friendly. We reserved two hotel rooms but we're surprised with an upgrade to a villa. Wow! Three bedrooms, living room, kitchen one patio and three balconies with beautiful views of the beach. I would highly recommend this resort and would definitely love to come back!

We booked an all inclusive package from Costco Travel to stay at Omni Cancun for 6 days. We enjoyed our time at the property, room was clean and staff were friendly, and food was very good. The only complain we have is the Wi-Fi wasn't very steady. One afternoon it was raining hard and the network was overwhelmed as you can imagine.

My trip included transportation directly to the hotel. I can't speak to the location, but it was only a 15 minute drive from the airport. Service at the hotel is incredible. Room price includes 100% free drinks and dining. Yes, 100% free drinks. There's literally a self-service beer tap open 24 hours a day. Staff is amazingly friendly and extremely helpful. You'll always have a drink in your hand if you want one. Facilities are very clean and well-kept. Plenty of activities around the hotel grounds, but there's no shortage of room to just soak up some sun either. I've only been here a few days, but I already love it. The place has no sort of cheap vibe to it, but it's one of the best values of any vacation spot I've ever been to. I'll update later, if needed, after the trip. I don't see things going anywhere but up though!

Overall a good stay. Can't say it's perfect though. PROS: The staff seemed to be friendly and accommodating, making sure we got what we asked for (more on this below). The bartenders did a great job making sure you didn't get thirsty. The resort has just enough to keep you entertained. And we did have a great view of a clean beach. CONS: Did not get a king size bed despite ordering one (biggest reason for the 4/5 stars). Sushi bar is not great, but you're not going to an all-inclusive resort in Cancun for the sushi. Wi-Fi is horrible in the room, but again you're not in Cancun to see how well the Wi-Fi is. MEH: The food. We did not try DaVinci's since we did not bring slacks, but overall the food is about what you'd suspect here. Some hits, some misses. Some of the "express" excursions are anything but, but I don't think the resort itself is to blame for that. Tips are encouraged, which is strange for an all-inclusive resort, but tipping less than you would in the States will go a LONG way to get great service here. IMPORTANT: When you arrive, they will try to schedule an appointment with you that will last "about 90 minutes" to go over the business side of the hotel. If you're on vacation, this should be the last thing you want. It's a pitch for their travel service, which is nice in theory if you have the cash to spend.

Rooms are clean. Staff are friendly. Wi-Fi sucks do bad. If you want anything other than the buffet. Good luck!

I have not been a client of the hotel, only in the gym because I was staying in the adjoining hotel (Oasis) you don't have the same. The gym is one of the most complete I've ever seen.

This was my third time to stay at an all-inclusive resort, and this ranked in the middle of my three experiences. Our villa wasn't ready at 3PM for check-in. We might have had an easier time overlooking this had we not traveled all night and arrived before 6AM. It was 4PM by the time we got our keys and the housekeeping staff was still inside the villa. The main hotel and poolside staff was friendly but expected tips (I don't recall tips being an expectation at my other all-inclusives, one did not allow tipping at all). The expectation was so obvious that the staff waited, awkwardly, to receive a tip after services were rendered. Chairs at beach and pool-side were impossible to come by, despite getting to the beach by 8am to find a spot. Our party resorted to bringing chairs down from our villa to make sure we had a place to sit. Cabanas were $50 and reserved a week out when we inquired. Room service had a $5 charge, even if it was just for more bottled water. Food was okay. Sushi was horrible. Omelet bar at the main buffet was good. We had fun and drank plenty but I don't think I'll be back. Positives: beach was beautiful, sand was awesome, pools were nice. Villa was well appointed. Negatives: lounge chair availability, food, tipping expectations.

The location is great and the pools are impeccable. However for being a four star resort the rooms are very standard, we had no shower head and water just dripped down, our beds were uncomfortable and they provided us with the thinnest blanket ever. They should really invest on down comforters for their guests. We booked a king bed but was provided with a room with two twin beds, we made no fuss over that as we pushed the beds together after settling down. The food is not amazing, so don't go with high expectations, it has no flavor. The employees are very kind and helpful. However expect to be bombarded with offers for time shares and tours on your first day. In my opinion I wouldn't consider it a four star hotel, but they are working towards it.

I booked a room with a bed king size, and they did not give me what I asked. I got two small beds. My wife sleeps on one and I the other. First and last time that I had in the Omni. Also the food is not so good.

We went for a girl's trip and had a blast. The staff were very attentive to our needs and excellent friendly service. We were taken to our room by Wilbert and had a wonderful time meeting him. We looked forward to visiting with him everyday. He does an excellent job with his guests. The servers Francisi, Adon, Leonardo gave us excellent service in the dining room. It exceed our expectations.

Excellent, hotel with gym and other services, the staff is very attentive and the swimming pools and beach area is very nice. With several restaurants, transportation to the airport and excellent food.

Not very positive experience. I booked through a travel website. I arrived and was notified I had to pay in full. After I paid, they told me my room with two beds was not guaranteed and therefore I did not get one. Since I just paid, I had no leverage. They told me to check back at 9 am for the best chance to change rooms. When I did this the next morning, they told me to really until 12 for the room, despite already starting to check in new arrivals at that time. They wasted half a day of my vacation. Their beer is also watered down.

Service of the best waiters very attentive what I liked most was the Mayan coffee the hoster very attentive.

Very good place, the service is excellent, the food delicious, the beach is very nice, although it is a bit secluded squares, public transport meets it. Hours of drinks I suggest is more broad lol.
