Absolutely breathtaking everything is gorgeous the food is absolutely delicious this is my second time here the first time was just on a day pass from tres Rios Club Hacienda🎶💋

The cost of all inclusive is very expensive, apart they charge you for the occupation of rooms not for the people who come, if it is for 6 and come 4 they charge you for 6, the food and the service of some restaurants is not good, I am in clarification for the all inclusive they charge me 9000 dollars we are 8 among them 2 of 13 years and 6 adults for 6 days.

All excellent. We lacked only time to enjoy all that it offers.

Everything is superb! Food is really good with lots to choose from japanese, chinese, mexican, italian etc. All are friendly exceptionally Uriel who was so accomodating, knowledgeable and for a visitor who doesn't speak Spanish, he is one of the best or best person who can explain everything. Our experience staying here will forever be cherished. Thank you!

I loved the facilities and having access to the other hotels 👏🏻 plus the rich and varied food, everything super clean and the staff very friendly! the waiter Zacarias very attentive (the one who is in the lobby in the bar too) heads of waiters itself all the staff❤, we appreciate that they made us feel at home!

Altho beach are better in Sunset Royal and Ocean Spa which you can also go to use their amenities, we always come back to Sunset Marina for GOOD FOOD! Not to mention the most breathtaking sunset, pics won’t even do justice! Loved staying here. ♥️

you can hear everything from the rooms above every step they take.
the air con is so old sounds like an aeroplane taking off so turned it off just so I could get to sleep. Waited over 20 muinets at the bar to get a drink hardly any staff. Went into the special dining room ordered vegan asian food only to be given pasta with tomato sauce so I had no food I had to sit for 2 and a half hours while my friend ate. We have to stay here for another 2 nights listening to drilling banging while they reconstruct 2 buildings

My 4 yr old son fell hit is head cause of an bed frame not properly attached he had to get taken to the local hospital by us with no resort help and no help from the resort in anyway in any manner.

Great effort put in landscape and relaxation. Not loud and busy… Boats on the lagoon create beautiful scenery. For a beach day shuttle to sister location and enjoy lunch on the Ocean.

We just stayed for the week very old very disrespectful staff and management. Would not talk to me about the issues for four days! Filed a written complaint and still no call from hotel manager! Do not stay here!

The hotel of rules. Out of the pool by 9, no we can’t restock the fridge you paid for, and forget having a visitor stop by. Charged me for extra days guests fees on days I didn’t have guests. Refused to let me leave the hotel until they stole money! Fraud! Never again!

So far, Sunset Marina Resort has been nice. Food is good. Staff is friendly and helpful. Downside is no beach to swim and only 2 restaurants plus a snack bar.

The staff made the experience phenomenal! Rafael, Francisco, and Sergio were the best of the best! Friendly and so caring! The only problem the elevator was broken. My daughter is expecting and it was hard going to the top floor. I notify the front desk for (3) days. It was never repaired. The room and room service and the wait staff was incredible!

Do not go to the presentation at all! I have been in presentation in Canada and USA before Mexico trip and they have not been pushy. With these guys in Mexico, the story is totally different. You will be served lots of alcoholic beverages, they will keep you promises until you say yes in the presentation from 8 am till 6 pm, then they will charge you thousands of dollars… and the sad story begin! none of the promises would be in your contract and they are very difficult to communicate after you leave Mexico… Please stay away from them as much as you can.

Can ZERO stars for the food and wait staff at La Vela (inside) be an option? Unorganized, rude, and not accommodating at all! The server finally asked for a drink order 5-10 minutes after we were allowed to order food. We sat wait for menus for 5-10 minutes to start. We were told they didn’t have enough menus yet there were only 8-10 other people in the restaurant. As a party of 14 (sitting at 2 tables which was fine) the servers offered different options to our kids and were extremely rude when we questioned the confusion. Two adults ordered California rolls as their main dish … everyones food came out … we were then informed they were “out”! Water and soda glasses were empty, refills were requested, who knows how long before we got to drink. Skip this restaurant at all costs! Wouldn’t eat here again even with it being all inclusive!

Except for the food the resort was great! We actually stayed at the sister resort Sunset Royal but you can travel for free between the resorts to enjoy other amenities at each sister resort! Fantastic pool and loved the water taxi! Drinks were really good!

We stayed at Sunset mid-April 2018. This is a lovely resort on the lagoon side of the Cancun hotel zone. The resort is on busy Kukulcan Blvd. So ask for a room on the lagoon side. These start with 100, 300 or 500 with 100 being closest to the lobby and pool. 500's are quieter. The street side start with 200 and 400 and have a view of the concrete wall on the lower floors. We were a timeshare exchange and planned on doing at least half of our own cooking. The studio unit we were given was missing many of the kitchen utensils, pots, tea towels etc. I get that many stay here as an all-inclusive so these things may not be important to most guests as it is to us. When we explained this to the staff (Raphael) they moved us to another studio that was much better outfitted and met our needs (and was brighter too). I’ve posted many pictures of the kitchen, cupboards and the pans, dishes, glasses etc. As we prefer the ocean beach, we took the water shuttle over to the Sunset Royal daily. It ran frequently and was a nice alternative to the noisy shuttle bus. The water shuttle only ran till 3:00pm, so we would take the hotel shuttle bus (hourly) or pay the 12 pesos and take a city bus back to the marina. Enjoyed the ride and liked the fact we could enjoy both resorts.

What can I say. They were so nice and attentive. From the front desk, to the waiters in the restaurant, to the room service, to the people by the pool, to the people that clean the rooms. They all were so respectful and ready to help in any way they could. The room itself needs a little work, especially the bathrooms. No ventilation, but they are renovating all the rooms to be more modernized. In some cases I thought I was asking for too much but no matter what we asked for they somehow made it happen. Loved it there and will return…

Beautiful place, excellent service, delicious food, clean, comfortable rooms, free Internet, drinks and delicious cocktails, free shuttle to beach every hour in low season. Here there is only one lagoon, it is the only thing that would change it, it had beach, but nothing stops you to go to enjoy the beach in the other sister hotel, I am simply delighted with everything this hotel has to enjoy. Above that I have a baby, and very kindly put me a crib in the room without any extra charge, there is safe iron, minibar and kitchenette in the room, on room service from 7 am to 10.30 am. 'll! ♥

Very good place excellent care and very quiet.

We love the resort so far! We aren't doing all-inclusive so can't comment on the food or drinks. The room is great, 2 king beds with a neat split level layout. Kitchen has everything we need. Hot tub bath on the balcony! Clean and comfortable. The grounds are very well kept, pool is lovely. Mini golf, hammocks, soccer nets, basketball hoop. Easy to take a bus to the center. The staff is very helpful. We were able to check in at 3am, which was very helpful!

It is very quiet without noise very clean and very good treatment of the staff.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was very nice and comfortable. Food of very good quality. The only thing missing is having beach, it was a disappointment as it looks out at the lagoon and has pool but no beach. Recommended if you come with family.

The perfect food and the attention is the best, they are all super friendly.
The only point against it is the obligatory meeting to be attended which takes much more than the time it was stipulated (holiday package), but it is a small price if compared with everything that you offer in the chain.

We had a great stay there. The food was delicious (they were more than happy to accommodate my many food allergies & restrictions) and the service was amazing! Everyone was very nice & helpful. Would definitely recommend this resort.

Our stay was excellent. The staff were very friendly and accomodating to our needs. We stayed at the presidential suite as a family (8 adults and 2 kids in total) and there were plenty of room to move around still. Enjoyed lounging at the pool near the bar. The staff at the buffet area are the best — very accomodating of the kids in our group-high chair and hard boiled eggs and chicken fingers. The Lobster dinner was nicely done-! Housekeeping is on point. All in all. We’ll definately recommend.

Lovely place, food is ok. Staff work hard BUT… it's a timeshare, and those presentation staff have perfected the relationship building but not the close. They don't get that different people, different cultures respond differently to different sales tactics. When they say 50 times, I'll respect your decision, and you respectfully and politely say not for me, no thanks, being belittled, badgered, bullied by 4 more strangers is unacceptable. When you say you can't afford the $2, 000 US per month and they remember what you do for a living and throw it back at you trying to guilt you into a mortgage, not acceptable. When its finally over, and the initial salesperson begs for a tip — I have ZERO RESPECT for this company and their tactics. The beach though… beautiful! P. S. Although we were invited to stay and enjoy the property for the day, all inclusive, and then they charge your room at the host resort THEY put you in for the drinks. Zero respect.

Nice mediterranean style hotel. Beautiful narrow inner passage between 2-3 storeys buildings and nicely decorated with live plants is so good! I fall in love with this hotel! It is not too much places I wanted to come back but this one I definitely want! Food is fresh and tasty. Vegetables and fruits are very good. There is pool and sufficient amount of beach chairs. At evening there are nice shows in Caribbean style. There is also some entertainment at day time. You can take free shuttle or even boat to go to Sunset Royal. Shuttle goes to Sunset Royal, Laguna Suites, Ocean Spa and back to Sunset Marina. 1 tour takes 1 hour. It is free of charge. It circulating all day. You can go to any of these hotels to eat, drink and use any facilities as if you stay there. Nice, nice, nice vacations!

Wonderful hotel. Staff is always happy to help you. Raul the bartender will become your best friend. He is always happy, has a great sense of humor, and a wonderful individual.

We have been coming to Sunset Marina for 20 years. It is a most relaxing and fun resort. Many of the staff have 15 plus years here and we love to see them. Breakfast is delightful! Shuttles or boats run regularly between the 4 locations. Thank you to the staff: Lydia, Rudy, Gonzalo, Henry, Fabian. Well see you next time.

Very beautiful resort. Nice to have access to a boost to get to the ocean easily. My complaint would be that they constantly are trying to upgrade you even after you tell them you are not interested. Otherwise very nice resort. Great people and great service!

The hotel is older and sometimes there is no hot water. What made the trip better is that the people are so nice and attentive. They made sure everything about our time there was enjoyable. Really nice property, but the rooms are not so good.

We stayed here for two weeks from Nov 18th and I must say we had the best time. Our room was amazing, with the most incredible view over the lagoon! All the staff were friendly and they always acknowledged us and made us feel welcome. Big thanks to Adan, Santiago and Fabian who made our stay extra special.

Excellent Resort for a quiet muuuyy stay. Excellent food and very varied. The staff was very friendly and helpful and The service was excellent. The facilities are very good quality and excellent maintenance. Recommended for older adults.

This has to be the worst place we ever been to. The first night they gave us a dirty noise room, Right by the sale office. The towel were black. There suppose to be a kitchen but no pots, toaster, flipper. The hot tub was black. They moved us the next day to a member room as they say. The whole place had ants. Wash the tables several time but could not get rid of the ants, woke up and ant were crawling out my hair. Then the ceiling started leaking water running in they just left the rags on the floor. The time share guy we had started swearing at us because we said no to buying. All he could do is run down Are club so immature. I could go on this place is gross.

This was the most wonderful place I've ever stayed and the staff was so friendly and personable. This place was quiet and secluded even though it was right off the main road in the hotel district. After all the hype Mexico was getting for the tainted alcohol, I will say I would not hesitate to stay there again!

The Sunset Marina has given us a great time during the time we've been here. I love that you can use your all-inclusive pass to go to the other properties. The boat taxi rocks. The pool rocks. The service rocks. My only suggestions are: 1. Later pool and bar hours. 2. More of that amazing lagoon pizza. Otherwise this place is a dream. Would love to come back asap!

Great small resort with wonderful customer service attention. Shout out to Alberto from guest services who went above and beyond for us, giving us a relaxing birthday and anniversary celebrations. Special mention to Javier and Tino who made sure our beverages were kept topped up in the buffet restaurant. Awesome people! Wonderful atmosphere.

Came here for a membership presentation from the Sunset Resorts group. As in the title, this resort has a marina and yachts available to use if you choose to purchase a membership for their hotel group. The facilities are clean and well kept and seemed to be a bit nicer than the Ocean Spa Resort (also part of Sunset). The beach here didn't have the soft white sand and turquoise water that you see in all the marketing for Cancun. For that, you nees to go further south down the highway and away from the coral reef. Food was decent. Located in the middle of a large tourist area. The area seemed safe and I didn't have any issues travelling up and down the highway by bus or by foot.

I hide out for swindlers and fake time share sales men. Buy membership at your own risk. You will never get a booking or get your money back.

I was originally booked for Royal Sunset and at the last minute before travelling, I was given the option to switch to Sunset Marina. 3 days into my trip, I am totally enjoying my stay with my family. The staff is so helpful and the accommodation is absolutely prefect. Only missing the beach front bit with free access to Royal Sunset, I have the best of all worlds!

Beautiful setting, very clean and comfortable. Staff eager to please. Restaurant Buffet varied and delicious. Plenty of local attractions Bring lots of $1.00 for tips and bus fares. Be careful and run fast whenever you cross Kukulahan Blvd. The busses are fast. Have fun!

Com Booked a room on here and they had the cheapest rates around… This was our first time visit to Cancun and we loved all of it. People around us everybody was so nice and friendly. We enjoyed every moment of our time being there. They've all fresh fruits and vegetables, I am already missing their omelettes and tacos. They also have many activities, shows, water taxi ride. Ours was everything included with a reasonable price. We are planning to go there next year again. So many things to do and to visit and also just to seat in balcony to watch the lagoon view.

Good place but I paid for 2 people when I was there on the 5th day they told me I reserved it for one person and they charged me twice about 800$ more. I would not recomend. Its a lagoon no beach near. When I reserved they told me it was a beach. I feel so disappointed I would not return, it was to noisy. The customer service was horrible.

Food is so so. Not bad but nothing to write home about. I'm a member and this was my first time visiting. Didn't get to take a boat out but got a tour of them. Something for next visit!

Good afternoon, we are members of several families who likes to enjoy the beauty of the Mexican Caribbean and as always we are in search of comfortable, spacious and quiet hotels, knowing our taste the Agency "SUNSET MARINA recommended us very much, and did not let us badly, although it is valid to express some remarks that cause discomfort to guests, such as: in the years that we have been staying in different hotels in the Riviera Maya and Cancun", had never applied us for the amount of $1, 000.00 as deposit for possible damage to the facilities, as well as the constant questions that make us up to ask for a glass of water "in that room you are staying? " and then write down it. However, we understand the need for control, but I think for that they are bracelets that put us as an identifier, so it is cumbersome both for guests and employees. However we cannot let pass the fact that causes us to know that there are people with ethics, well prepared that made our stay in this beautiful and comfortable hotel, it was nice and we were happy, our recognition and respect to Dn Rudy, Dn Gonzalo and Don Tino; people who like to work and they know how to treat domestic and foreign tourists. The hotel has very good breakfast, staff is very friendly and fun activities. It is also very safe. I leave by mistake a Gucci watch in the pool, and when I went to get it, me lo engregaron.

An absolutely excellent experience going to Isla Mujeres with the tour. Catamaran ride was fun and the snorkeling awesome! I'd recommend the Tahiti! That crew was the best! Entertaining, hilarious, friendly. I can't say enough good things. Highly recommended!

Prices on website sunset marina are the best, excellent service and rooms.

Family friendly with a kid's club every day. Great service by friendly servers who remember you. Gluten free friendly. Lots of activities are all inclusive. Easy access to shuttle to ocean beaches. Great entertainment. Loved the singers and dancers.

Excellent Resort. We own a membership and have stayed here 4 times now. The staff is fantastic, and there is very little turnover, so you can get to know staff over time. We had a great stay with great food and service. Will return again.
