My wife booked us the hotel for the honeymoon and she booked for everything included but when we got there we realized that it was not all included and we need to pay for more things… it's took us to wait in line more than an hour for to do the check in there were only three people in front of us after we got the room the jacuzzi did not work The shower leak… My wife book a room with Ocean View but we did not have Ocean View because there another hotel in front of us … the same day I went to request if we can change the room and the guy say yes tomorrow you guys can change the room and I need to wait another one hour on the line but when I went the following day to the front desk no one know about it and I need to explain to him again the issue we have he say the room will be ready at 4pm when I call from the room to check if the other room ready he told me I need to come to the front desk and I wait on the line 45 minutes and when my turn was the guy on the front desk say he finished his shift and he can't help me and I wait another 2 hours for somebody will change my room… We did the reservation yesterday for the restaurant for today 9 p. M. We get to the place 10 minutes before 9 and the host say he don't have place for us and we are hungry Everything taking forever with this guys I have a pictures and the hotel under construction short story I do not recommend this hotel.

My wife and I went for our honeymoon and it was great! We got the all inclusive package with our room so it was even better! The staff was super friendly and the food was delicious! Like I still crave their chicken off of the grill that they served as a snack by the pool and that was 3 years ago! Room service is included in the all inclusive so if you have a little too much fun and want to just stay in the room for the night. It's a little pricey if you don't get the all inclusive package because tips are build into it. Like day beds are $40/day unless you have an all inclusive package and they are first come first served. We met amazing people from all of the world there and we're still Facebook friends with some of them!

I want to thank all the staff of the Hotel Melody Maker have passed without a doubt our best holiday, no words to express the attentions received or score enough to put them has been all but excellent all their services since We entered the first day until the last minute, restaurants, services of beach, cleanliness, bars of drinks, concierges, etc etc etc we had two rooms on the 8th floor and in the 11 one prettier than the other, since we will go back beyond the offers of the hotels sees Cinos we stay with Melody! Thank you very much.

Very good facilities, the sea view room is wonderful, it has a large bed and a large 49 inch TV.
The pool is very nice just like the bars, the food is very tasty.
If I had to highlight something bad would be the waiters in the pool area, I stayed 3 nights and at no time when passing by my lounger tried to offer me something to drink, I think if they see you face not to tip or bother… It hurts for them.
Also in the minibar of the room you have at disposal many bottles of soda water and beers that was what most consumed the same thing runs with some waiters of the main restaurant.
Otherwise it is an excellent hotel.
I recommend it.

Hotel is bice and clean. The workers are quick to respond. Service is good. The pool area is right next to the beach and both areas are full of comfortable beds and recliners. Plenty of beds for everybody. The food is excellent. My only complaints are that our room had a strong musty smell and there's not enough a la carte restaurant. Just for your info, they play techno music all day long on a very good sound system. Best sound system ever. Not really appropriate place for young kids.

This is actually my first time writing a review but after I read a few bad reviews about this hotel I took the time to share my personal experience at the Melody Maker Cancun. In my opinion we couldn't choose a better hotel. Everything was great food, service, location etc. The staff was amazing all hard working people. Right now I just can remember the name of one person by the beach area, Nahomi sweet and very helpful girl. Although she was helping lots of people at the time she never forgot about our requests. Overall we had a great time and if we ever go back to Cancun we will definitely choose this hotel again. Btw there wasn't anything about the construction that bothered us at all.

Just got home from the Melody Maker and I must say it was an excellent vacation we had there. Reception when we got there awesome. Room awesome and kept spotless. Pool areas awesome beach awesome. Food awesome well prepared and plenty of it. And finally the staff AWESOME. They were the friendliest and most helpful we have had at any resort we have been too. Jennifer. Antonio and Juan to name just a few. One tiny critique, the music played at the lower pool area could be turned down from a 10 on the dial to an 8. But go here you won't be disappointed. At first glance the hotel looks like a 5 star but in my opinion you have 2 left. Refurbished but there are areas that you notice quite trotted out. The staff of the hotel is friendly but lacks to be more helpful.

Nice hotel, very friendly staff. Variety of food and buffet in some. The room with terrace view to the sea better than the view to the lagoon. The beach club is paid apart even if one has paid the all inclusive. The beach, beautiful.

A beautiful, modern hotel with extraordinary attention, all employees by attentive, friendly and predisposed to make everything enjoyable, all excellent services. Highly recommended. We had a dream vacation.

Beautiful resort with breath taking views and the best beach in Canucn. The Beach Club is out of this world! You need to check it out.

One more of the pile. Nothing special, they pretend to cater well but they do not make it, the food and drink nothing especially for what you pay for. I need a wheelchair and they made me more trouble than not wanting to ask again. The pool is not very nice and the pools are common. Enlightenment reminds me of the telos of my time. I'm not saying it's bad but for what they charge it could be much better.

We stayed 2 nights 3 women got a room with inconvenience that despite my claim they did not know how to solve it. The hotel is with extensions therefore in remodeling with bricklayers, we got the room 754 where they gave the turbines of the building's continuous noise unbearable, amen to this we got two beds of square and half so two slept uncomfortable to claim me They said it's hotel policy.
The good food alone that could unite the islands as you spend walking the dining room.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The beach excellent just like the pools.
The very good DJ. Very few animations and activities.

A luxury hotel! Nothing to object to. Wonderful, comfortable with the best of all inclusive service.

Do not stay here. We are a couple staying and they didn’t give us the option of a single bed, they gave us two small beds. After asking and waiting around for an hour we finally got one bed. They were obviously not booked up and they were trying to get extra money from us to get one bed. Ridiculous. The ‘250’ worth of credits advertised on the site is a joke. The 75$ worth of champagne isn’t actually buying you a bottle but only towards part of it. Then they will charge you the rest. 5$ every time you order room service automatically charged to the room. Worst experience coming to cancun and I’ve been here five times. It is not all inclusive and they try to rip you off any chance they get. Do not stay here. Pool had no one. Absolutely dead. Talked to another couple and they told us one of the staff looked at the tip they gave them and said ‘this is it? ’ I’m Canadian and honestly I don’t even know if I’ll ever come back. I’ll try Cuba. We spend a good amount of money expecting an all inclusive, this hotel was not. Such a disappointment.

Nice hotel, Nice beach Filthy food with terrible drinks. Rashi Sanctuary in Cancun. Furious waiters lack of tips from the compatriots and Bydljachim behavior, concocting them crappy cocktails. My wife was brought a cocktail with pieces of plastic, hopefully it was an accident.

A great place, luxurious and excellent attention. Very good food, the international law firm is the best. The only bad thing is that for two long days there was no Wi-Fi connection but it was fixed. Highly recommended.

Excellent location on the beach, very good service and very good hotel in general. Recommended for friends looking for fun and good vibes. With the best of Cancun just a few minutes away.

The beach is amazing and the facilities are ok but it is way too expensive and the service is not the best. We payed for a jw black label and they served us Jim bean. Not what I was expecting.

This hotel has a few major pros and cons: Pros: 1) When we first got there, it wasn’t very busy as they aren’t fully built so there is plenty to staff and things to do 2) The staff go out of their way to help you — Specifically Nedal at the pool, he made our trip! 3) Location is nice to the lagoon & shopping area. It was also nicely located on the beach so there wasn’t a big divet to get down 4) Food in general was very good. The Japanese Grill was a treat Cons: 1) It is going through a large renovation and your rooms will be dusty & there is construction near the pool/beach 2) The restaurants are not all open when they should be: Ex. The Asian restaurant that we wanted to go to was only open once during our stay and it should have been open 3+ times, so we didn’t get an opportunity to go — this one was a huge upset to many travelers 3) There are different tiers of All Inclusive so it felt like you were missing out on a lot as an “All Inclusive resort” which we really didn’t like 4) The New Years festivities were awful. They had a DJ that was supposively good however he barely pumped the crowd up, everyone was just standing around. They wouldn’t let people go down to the beach to watch the fireworks unless they paid. This is our 3rd New Years at an all inclusive and by far the worst experience. In general it was a good stay however we have had much better at Rius. We wouldn’t recommend it to friends or family.

The hotel is nice and cheaper than other places; however, it's still being refurbished in some places in case you don't want that. The food is good and varied since there are five different restaurants. The hotel itself is more on the snazzy side, but it's a little lackluster for the moment. Once it's done with the upper floor remodeling and the poolside structures, it'll return to its former glory.

You can't say it's an all inclusive hotel as after ordering the food it never came and they just said "sorry, it's that the kitchen is very busy". We understand that it is a high season but if they know it is then they should prepare well for the high season. And an employee discriminates against Asians. It is a very nice hotel and most of the employees are super nice but about service of food and drink should be improved.
I'm very sorry but I don't recommend if you don't have a lot of patience, wait 3 hours for just a shrimp cocktail.

Very good hotel, great food You get a good rest there. The only thing to improve are the taxis with those who work to take you to the airport, we got one who wanted to charge us more than what the hotel had said was the price.

Imprecisonante the carelessness to the client, did not give us prices when we asked them to say phones that only we would charge our consumption to then tell you that they have to consume 1500 as my mine on the beach and 2300 in the pool because there is a supposed DJ that never appeared, it took half an hour to come to ask me for my order and after an hour was not yet ready and when I finally arrived was wrong, I would not go to this dump to half build that call Melody Maker its that I pay to do it.

Was construction site, hardly people, service so-so… Was the money not worth.

It's pretty, the staff are nice, but honestly there isn't much to do here, everything is closed down by 11pm, food is not good and there isn't alot of choice. You can get room service but it is $5 US per person plus tip which is crazy considering it is supposed to be an all inclusive resort and they take everything away so early. No booze after 11pm. Beach is pretty but you are jammed between 2 other resorts so it can get crowded. They charge an additional fee to lounge on the beach beds. There is alot of miscommunication amongst front desk staff. This hotel is mainly packed with yearly 20's. The DJ by the pool I swear was fake because the same loud pumping club music played over and over for my whole stay. This hotel is under construction so higher up floors have alot of construction noise, this is why I think they start pumping the music so loud at 10 am, the room provides you with ear plugs so that speaks alot. The mini bar was stocked with condoms, sex toys, sex lotions, body paint ect I was shocked. This is not a place for small kids or older people at all. We originally booked with Oleo and got redirected to ME by Melia. I had previously stayed at the Oasis in Tulum and that was a much better experience. Even walking around Cancun my friend was offered sex and drugs and everyone was trying to swindle us for money… just alot. I love Mexico, I love Mexicans, just didn't like this place. All glitz and glam and no substance.

Great location to shopping malls, but the best part is that the staff exceeds in making clients needs stay flawless and their service attention is superb.

You know how when you are looking for a resort in Cancun, but even with reviews and pictures you worry that once you get there, it will be in a bad neighborhood, or the food will be bad, or the rooms will be gross, or the staff will be sub-par? Well, I can put all those worries to rest with two words… ME Cancún. It was the best stay, at any all-inclusive, that I have EVER had. Ever. Initially we were concerned that because of the renovations taking place the resort would be uncomfortable, we were wrong. The resort is beautiful, and actually, it was interesting to be there while it is being worked on, to swim in the pool and look up and around at all the new towers being put in, I sort of felt as though I was a part of the change. Let me assure you, there is NO bothersome noise due to construction. I was most worried about that, and those worries were unfounded. I was totally able to be in the room with the doors to the ocean open without hearing a thing due to the renovations. And the staff? They were incredible. Flavio was there from start to finish. He met us at the car when we arrived with champagne, whisked us to our suites, and made sure we were totally taken care of for the entirety of our stay. His consistency and professionalism, and that of his staff, especially Cesar and Aaron, still resonates with me. He is the face of my memories at ME. I recommend getting a cabana while you are there.

It is 8am and there is construction going on over my head. The hotel is practically a ghost town because it's essentially a construction zone and they want to upcharge you for everything. Not up to Melia standards whatsoever. Find another resort.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on here and they had the cheapest rates around… Staff made me and my fiancé feel right at home. From the second we got there we were waited on hand and foot and we're not used to it. One employee almost ran when I tried to tip him for getting us some towels. They greeted us daily and whenever we passed them in the halls. They all knew perfect English and even taught us some Spanish. The room was beautiful and clean and smelling fresh all the time. I couldn't have asked for a better vacation at a better hotel. Even the food was awesome. I will be going back to ME Cancun soon.

Service, People and Food… I stayed at ME for 5 nights and loved the experience. First, the decor in the hotel is up to date, Chic, stylish, beautiful and modern. The rooms are really well designed to your needs, beautiful views regardless on which side you're staying, (Sunset or Sunrise View), huge beds and space. ME has three restaurants, Beach House, Salt & Silk and Steakhouse, the food was delicious in all of them, they vary the menus every lunch and at night, so you're never bored. (Japanese, Japanese-Peruvian, Rodizio, Seafood, Fusion, Steaks) The service at the pool, beach and bar area was excellent, specially the food choices you had at the different places you were, anything you asked, they made sure you get it. Pools — the pool area is beautiful, three pools, two with bars and an infinite pool. Beach — Lots of waves but nothing outrageous, clear water, lots of fun (bring your gopro) you'll thank me. Pool area (loved the beds, seat, chairs, you feel like a king and Queen. Again, service, service, service, I have no complaints, never saw a boring face, everyone was always smiling, attentive, great staff. We also did the Spa at ME and loved it, after the 50 minutes massage they let you stayed at the facilities, they have a Jacuzzi, Pool (indoors and outdoors), chairs with a view, great time at the Spa. The hotel is going to close for renovations in August, I think it needs it in the infrastructure, the bathrooms, part of the building need repairs.

Not the most polished hotel but it was certainly entertaining. There's always some special event (adult oriented) going on during the day or at night from Thursday-Sunday. Their specialty restaurants are a bit misinformed/confused with regards to their particular themes but between their weekend buffet and their Beach Club, you have plenty of good alternatives (that do not require reservations).

First time staying in this resort and I have nothing but good compliments about it. The resort is situated right in the middle of the hotel zone so it's close to basically everything. The resort is always clean and tidy and it is very well maintained. The staff is beyond courteous. They will do anything to accommodate you in any way possible. We stayed in the aura sunset view room and it was gorgeous. It was nice and big and the bathroom was beautiful. It had a walk in waterfall shower which was amazing. The restaurants and the food they offer is beyond great. The food is top notch and overall delicious. I loved it how the resort offers a variety of foods and cuisines so everyday you are looking at a different menu and eating different foods. The drinks were really good as well so was the pool which was clean all the time and the water temperature was just right. Overall I would deff stay at this resort again. It is a great resort for couples.

AMAZING! The pictures don't show how beautiful, friendly and convenient they make it. Hotel is beautiful, beds are so confy and every single person who works there is welcoming. OMG the food! Everything is the best, you have to use ur one day bed service (blue towels) its like a vip section the food here is the best, the cali roll was the best, im goint to miss it. (they do have other beds and things but this just secures the bed for u for the whole day). They clean ur room 2 a day which is great because with the beach and other things you use a lot of towels. Thanks for the best visit ME! (I booked online with melia/the hotel website)

Lousy, the pool smells of marijuana and by the morning there are prostitutes. A friend assaulted her, CARE this hotel is dangerous.

Old hotel very lived off. Reception incapable. Food is average nothing special. Waiters are good. Good beach chairs. I would recommend this hotel definitely not. Jan 2016 site in the pool area. Rooms are extremely thin. On the bedside table, earplugs are a solution.

The Me Cancun was not for me. They sell you a beautiful story of all-inclusive yet when you get here if your wrist band is any other color than black you have to pay extra for basic things that should be all-inclusive. Example m&m candy in our room was not included in the all-inclusive and had a yellow sticker to let us know it was a extra fee if we ate it! Worse all-inclusive ever! Another worse was having to make reservations to eat at all the restaurant and having a strick dress code and then getting to the restaurant and it's empty and you see other customers wearing sneaker. Sorry but I'm on vacation I want to wear shorts while I eat! Not be dressed in chic casual! Like I said the ME was not for ME! FYI it's not adults only either another fact they forgot to mention.

One of the best resorts I ever been, the food and service are amazing! However, when we went there are few big families with kids, which can be loud while we were trying to relax. Also, they didn't have any pool entertainment or music. Definitely recommend given the price and level of service and quality.

To me the service I thought was perfect, you bring food to your lounge chair and so… when are more of the 11 pin there is a service room with a small cost. What I didn't like was that people make a lot of noise and sometimes does not let you sleep, it is not a family-friendly hotel in yes.

The hotel is so old and smells. It is steamy inside. The staff is extremely rude and violent. They threatened my 12 year old son. I would Never return to the his hotel. We even had vip Check in and paid extra for the bands. All inclusive. There are only 4 beers that are free in the hotel room. What a joke. This place blows.

Amazing hotel in a great location. All the staff are helpful and friendly. We enjoyed all the restaurants, but have to say we enjoyed Silk the most. Definitely coming back here!

Excellent experience, the food was tasty and of good quality, all the drinks are of good quality, excellent care and service! Very good holiday for both the Pool party as in Rose Bar. Only thing missing is some recreational activity such as tennis, golf, football, volleyball, kayaking, etc.

Service fatal… A waiter brings me a dish of comfortable and ask him a soda and tells me that the bar hill q can't bring her… By q the kitchen was open but the bar no longer! Of truth that they are interested in you only until you do the check-in from there on don't work… It's an all inclusive but if you ask for something the room you get charged $5 dollars for the delivery of a plate of fruit q the cost should be less than a dollar) and you orient to q we also need to leave a tip …

I was in August, 2015, for a week, it is an Excellent place to rest, relax, while they accept children the atmosphere is generated for adults who want to enjoy the beach, the pool in order to just what I was looking for recagar batteries and return to work. A special mention to the chef Alvaro Corona… cooking delicious dinners in the restaurant THE BEACH HOUSE thanks to chef for cooking to customers in this way, they have to prove… Soft music throughout the day that allows you to read, chat, enjoy the beach, sleep, relax, at night, all in half-light, ohhh definitely recommended, and of course I would return to that place. All the staff friendly, it is a very safe place, by neglect, leaves open the safe room when you arrive in the evening they had locked my room to guard my stuff, I observed, besides, that a cleaning person called someone from security, my curiosity made me see what was going on then I realized that someone forgot and left his cell phone on a couch of rest, and stayed there until they put him in ward.

Only stay here in Cancún. The restaurants inside here could stand on their own — especially Silk for dinner and Salt for breakfast. The pools and beach setup are excellent too, just making this resort so picturesque. Staff was very friendly and accommodating too. Will most definitely be back every time I want a Cancún/beach vacation.

The place to be in Cancun. The Zona hotel will certainly not be the best thing to remember from Cancun and even less on the road side but once inside and on the beach side… wow! It's wonderful! If you have to choose a hotel, the ME is to do:-)
You will certainly live the best "American-Mexican" experience of your life, taste the Margarita Fresa, it is divine! Especially if you enjoy it in the swimming pool:-)
