Don’t listen to any of these reviews! False advertisement! All of these pictures are misleading! Just came back from a weekend in Cancun and had to book another place among seeing this location. Problems were as follows: •pool was halfway filled •no furniture in main living room •rebar sticking out of walls •stains on couches •delapedated deck •shady neighborhood •plug in range in kitchen Unless you’re looking for a subpar place to stay while you’re on vacation, I’d HIGHLY recommend looking elsewhere!
I enjoyed my stay at Mayambe while in Cancun. Ernesto was very friendly and brought us a delicious breakfast of fruit, tea and coffee in the mornings. The ocean view was very relaxing.

This place stunk… literally. The beach was dirty and unkept. The house was clean, but that's about the only positive thing I can say about our attempted stay at Mayambe Villas. It's seems like little to no maintenance other than routine cleaning has been done in the past 25 years, considering the beach location, I'll leave the details to your imagination. The online pictures do not do Mayambe justice (they fail to include cinderblock furniture). Ernesto seemed upset about all the negatives we pointed out and rudely refused to refund our down payment. I guess it was a wash because we got 4 nights at a much better place for the price we originally agreed to pay at Mayambe.
