Review of Krystal Cancun 4*

To start off this place completely screwed with my friend’s wedding. The venue was under construction and we didn’t find out until the day before from the actual construction workers that they had no clue a wedding was supposed to take place there and they had no intention of finishing up by then. It was then switched to a beach where we found out later they were hosting a huge beach party, so after confronting them about that they finally moved the wedding to a gazebo. They never brought the red aisle runner they promised, the lights blinked in different patterns and looked kinda tacky, all in all they really showed they didn’t care about the wedding they just wanted to keep that money in their pocket. We were not staying at this hotel (THANK GOD) but we came to visit for a day and got a day pass. The girl in the office told 3 different people in our party that good and drinks were half off (she did not say 50% off, she used the exact wording, half off) and we found out later that it’s only 15%. We went back to the office to talk to her about it when we found out and she completely lied and denied even talking to two of the people and claimed she wasn’t there to try and cover the fact that she messed up. So we essentially paid $65 to play in a pool which is a complete rip off in my mind. The security is both annoying and worthless. They act all intimidating and try to tower over you and tell you what you can and can’t do but if you wait five minutes they’ll twiddle their thumbs while you do exactly what they said wasn’t permitted. The hotel we chose to stay at was $800 less for a week than the rest of our party that stayed at this establishment and we saw their rooms and they were the same except they had to pay for room service and we didn’t and their room was smaller and has a nasty view of smoke and city buildings when they paid extra for ocean view (no refund for that either). I’d strongly urge you to stay away from this hotel, as I said this is just what I witnessed when I purchased a day pass from them. My friends and family there are still telling us about more things going wrong and none of us will ever return to this establishment or sister companies for reservations or day passes ever again.
