The property has closed some key amenities that we specifically booked to come for. We’ve tried to cancel, with notice, but they are being totally uncooperative. It was not our choice to close certain amenities. It was the hotel’s choice. We’ve stayed here before and loved it, but the absolute refusal of the hotel management is unbelievable.

It’s the Ritz! Rooms are very nice and quiet with great views no matter which room you get. The best part is the service from the staff. Everyone makes you feel special and important and always has a smile for you.

Only just arrived. But we were truly scared to take a vacation during a pandemic. They are so safe. Sanitary, taking the extra precautions — and the room and services … impeccable! Not to mention the beauty of the pavers and perfect sandy beaches.

Wonderful atmosphere, very nice from the moment you arrive to the airport, they come and get you, on a very personalized automobile, once you get to the hotel everyone is nice and helpful, they offer you a cold lemonade, while you are getting checked in the system. It is a wonderful experience!

Excellent service. Everyone was friendly and attentive. Breakfast buffet was also yummy. Love the thoughtfulness of the staff since they prepared something for us coz it was our honeymoon. I would definitely return!

The hotel is beautiful, but the staff makes it our favorite hotel anywhere. They have made us part of their family and helped us celebrate life’s great moments. The photo is a special margarita made by bartender Julio (and clearly an artist as well! ), at the request of Romeo, our waiter. Romeo found out we were married since our visit two years ago, when he also made sure we had a perfect stay. All of the staff are incredible people, and the entire property is a wonderful establishment. Our home away from home!

Wow just an amazing hotel. We stayed here for 7 nights and we had the best vacation ever. Amazing amazing amazing service wow there are no words to describe it. There are so many people to take care of you it's just mind blowing and everyone do it with a big smile. We stayed in a one bedroom suite ocean front and wow amazing room and service. Fernando at the Front desk manager, he is just an incredible person and he took care of us really really well. Fatima at the club level she is just awesome, my 18 month old just loved her :). On the whole beautiful property, great location and royal service by everyone. My whole family was really really happy and we had a tear in our eye when we left. 5 star experience.

We stayed at the resort for 4 nights and had an amazing vacation! The staff is extremely accommodating and will do everything in their power to make your stay one to remember. There are ample food choices on property, but even more available right across the street (walking distance). The private beach is well taken care of and clean. Rentals for chairs and cabanas was reasonable and WELL worth it. The views from the rooms are spectacular. I think all of the rooms have ocean view, so you won't be disappointed no matter where your room is. We will definitely be back!

One of the most amazing hotels I have stayed at in Mexico. This hotel is right on the beach and rooms all face the ocean. The beach sand is absolutely amazing and the only thing in front of the beach are some amazing pools and gardens. They also rent cabanas so you can stay the day down at the beach. Great place for kids, they bring them little tiny popsicles that the kids absolutely loved. Take a nap in the cabana right on the beach listening to the waves.

We had reserved the room through American Express and we were to have certain amenities such as free breakfast and hotel credits for Spa etc,,, The hotel refused to honor them. I called another credit card company I had and they advised that the room through them was over a $100.00 a night cheaper and we would have received the amenities. The hotel refused to issue a credit and let us have the room under the other credit card. What company have you ever known that does not match a cheaper price even after you have paid for the product or service. Every vendor matches the price for the customer.

First class hotel with excellent service throughout. Staff are very attentive to needs. Room service is prompt. Turn down service is a nice unexpected benefit. My only issue is a desire for more diversity in restaurants. All of them are upscale. Yes, maybe that's what to expect at a Ritz, but I'd prefer a bit wider menu.

Absolutely out of this world! Last night my boyfriend (Now fiancé) booked a surprise meal for the both of us when we got there the service was amazing even just from waking through the door, we got seated down at the bar and asked if we wanted drinks whilst we were waiting for our tabel to be ready, The waiter come over carried our drinks outside, offered us a brolly as it was raining at the start walked us to our candel lit dinner on a private beach the view was just UNREA…L! We were looking out onto the sea it was just perfect, We then ordered our main meal the waiter (Moses) went through the whole menu and made sure we knew what food we wanted, When the food came he was going through the different options of sauces to go with our meals he was absolutely fantastic, we then went onto our desert it only took about 10 minutes I kept getting nervous as I could see the two waiters walking over towards our tabel he placed the brownie down and as I turned around my boyfriend was down on one knee! I couldn't stop crying, as this was happening they was a saxophone man playing some amazing songs the night really couldn't of been any better! And what a place to be proposed to I literally feel like it was a dream So thank you so much for making our night so so amazing! Xxx.

The service is amazing. They bitterly are there to service your every need. The restaurants are wonderful also. The building is very nice, and marble is everywhere, but its weathered. Things look aged. The hotel is in need of upgrades. You're paying for service more than style.

I truly felt that the benefit for the price was not great. Other hotels have more and better amenities included. For the rate, add a little bit more and Le Blanc may be a better option with all included. As a platinum member this had no lounge or club access included. As well it feels fancy but from decades ago. Marble everywhere but feels old. You could get a better deal on others.

Did not disappoint. Some of the friendliness and efficient staff I have had the pleasure of being around. Always a greeting even if you are walking by. The restaurants are top notch. Had the pleasure of meeting the executive chef after one of two private dinners we had set up. I can honestly say I had one of the best meals of my life here. Room was what I expected a property of this level to be. Housekeeping was spot on and hardly seen. Quite a feat. There was a small issue property wide on our last day that I'm waiting to see how it resolves itself. But I'm not concerned about it being handled promptly and satisfactory. If any place is deserving of 5/5 this is it.

Beautiful beach and very comfortable hotel. I had no problem with the rooms and it seems to me that it is very well located. The hotel is very good and I recommend it widely. The service very good.

Every room has an ocean view however the corner room may have a partial block. Beware of $40 resort that you really not need that cover up grade premium internet, tennis court, special activities. I love the full marble covered bathroom which selflessly clean and flawless. I only find the room phone is really obsolete and outdated on a scratched table. Ritz kept surprising us. The management deliver six gorgeous macaroons as an Easter surprise to our awe. Our day could not get any better than this. Kudos to Marisol who checked us in and understood our needs at the resort.

The staff here REALLY go above and beyond to make sure you’re having a fun and relaxing time! You definitely feel as close to royalty as you can possibly get during your stay. Every person you meet is lovely and HAPPY to help! The ONLY reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because if you stay in a room with a connecting door, it is VERY THIN and you can hear other guests in their room. Not loud TV’s or music—I’m talking normal conversation. I was lucky to not hear anything else!

Do yourself a favor and trust this post. First, the set up for the hotel based in the beautiful area it is located is terrible. Rarely whether in the lobby, walking to your room, in the gym, etc… you CAN'T see outside. The entire hotel feels like you are in a cave. When in Cancun, that is the last experience you would ever want. Service, honestly can say some of the worst service or focus on the customer/consumer I have experienced ever. No exaggeration, you would receive better service at a Hampton Inn than this poor excuse of a hotel. JW Marriott is so far superior, don't waste your money here.

I know that the Ritz Carlton is an iconic brand and people are really devoted to it. But I found this hotel to be overpriced. And although the setting is beautiful and the Landscaping is really nice, the whole property looks outdated and could use some major Renovations in order for it to legitimately charge the prices that they charge. Food in the restaurant was good but really expensive. It was no better than the food I've had in any number of all inclusive resorts in the area. The service was good, but again, it was no better than other hotels that I have stayed at in the area including zoetry, numerous Catalonia resorts, and both Hyatt's here in Cancun, and for the price you expect them to go above and beyond. Basically, I would not recommend this hotel. Your money can get a lot more for you elsewhere in the area.

What a hotel and what a room we got! Awesome awesome view… we could see the entire breadth of the sea… it was an experience of a life time to be in such a room with such spectacular views… this was like a dream… Swimming pools were beautiful. The buffet brunch we had, was above expectation. One of the most expensive hotels in Cancun and above all staying in the sea facing view room. What else can you ask for.

It is the most luxurious hotel where I have stayed. The location is excellent, the service is unbeatable, you can stay at the bar or at the pool all day. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable and cosy. Definitely the best hotel I have ever visited, I highly recommend it.

So I had never been to a Ritz-Carlton or anything like it before, but this stay I just had was fantastic. I was very pleased with the attentiveness of all of the staff. I was always made to feel welcome and valued. The food was good, the coffee was fantastic. The man who showed us to our room was very helpful and informative. I don't really, however, recommend the sushi. I am a bit of a sushi snob and while the chirashi was passable, the rolls were not very good and were misrepresented on the menu. All in all, I was very pleased with my stay and would recommend this hotel to anybody.

Our first full day here, Spent the whole day at the pool. Staff was extremely attentive, coming by to change out the towels on our lounge chairs twice during a 6 hours stay pool side. The service for drinks and food was excellent. The icing on the cake was the mini popsicles that were handed out for free. I highly recommend the hibiscus. All of the staff is highly skilled, polite, and friendly. This was exactly the most relaxing place to spend our time. Our room is clean and fresh, with a beautiful ocean view. They laid out a nice selection of macaroons and chocolates. The beds are extremely comfortable, with feather toppers and pillows. My only critic would come at the lack of selection in English programming on their in house entertainment system. But, honestly, with a views like this your ass should be outside on the white sand beach playing in the teal waters. The food here is amazing; I haven’t run into a poorly made dish yet! ❤️ We will be back for sure.

Spectacular grounds. The staff are amazing and so attentive. You really do feel like royalty when you stay here. Food is absolutely amazing. We had sushi in the d lounge with live music, room service and lunch on the beach.

This Ritz did not have a Ritz-y feel at all. Seems like Ritz bought an older property and slapped their name on it. The hallways did not have enough lighting in a creepy way, not a romantic way. Front desk agents spend at least three minutes typing at their computers regardless of what question you ask them. Currency exchange rate was better at the hotel than the airport. Overnight valet parking is $20USD. Proximity to the beach was great and the pools were pretty, but not worth the Ritz price tag. Good thing my group paid with points or I would have been furious.

This is a beautiful resort in the hotel zone. Everyone was so accommodating! I was upgraded with my Marriott status to an ocean view room! I spent a little time at the beach. Fernando, Javier, Maria & Santago were wonderful! My room was always well cared for by Jenny & Julianna! Thank you for your great service! I enjoyed Sunday brunch! My gluten allergy was taken very seriously & I so appreciated that! My only disappointment was I had hoped to experience the Club floor. I asked twice & both times was told $200.00/night plus tax for 1 person. I can't eat/drink that much so declined their offer. I asked for a tour of the Club floor & was graciously accommodated. There were no customers to be seen. I think the question needs to be asked, if a Platinum Marriott guest is requesting an upgrade as a single person. Why can't the price be cut in half to accommodate the Club floor? Are we not all part of the Marriott family? I was told my room. 7005, was the same as a Club floor ocean front room. I offered to stay in the room I was given, but just have Club floor access. This also was declined… Otherwise my time here was lovely. I walked to The Crab House for lunch, the JW Marriott for lunch & AquaWorld to go scuba diving. I was told walking as a woman was safe& it seemed to be! The concierge desk was very helpful confirming my Super Shuttle departure.

Hands down… there is no other resort we will ever stay in if we go to Cancun. Peace of mind that you are in Mexico and it's the Ritz brand you know you getting 5 star of everything & you don't have to worry about tainted food/water like the all inclusives. We stayed on the club level and will never do anything else now! It is 100% worth it for the food, drinks, service — the concierge was spectacular with any little thing you need throughout your stay and the food is available from morning until night at the club level. The servers get to know you and they anticipate your needs. Spectacular! Wine/champagne is out all day long and cocktail bar opens later for dinner and after dinner dessert liqueurs with desserts. They are so accommodating and the food is always fresh and can be made to your needs — — my husband and I are vegetarian and they made dishes special for us without meat especially breakfast items. All I've ever heard about the regular "all inclusive" resorts is complaints about the poor quality food, watered down bad drinks and old dated rooms — at the Ritz, it is top of the line everything. You get what you pay for… it's not cheap but you get what you are told and expect and. Above & beyond that. This was 1 of the best trips we've ever had — the beach & pool are amazing — we were here for 7 nights & I didn't want to leave. Had daily massages too. They spoil you…

I really wanted to like this place. It's an old fashion hotel with a few recent updates. The staff was friendly when they weren't busy socializing, this hotel doesn't deserve the Ritz-Carlton name. There's a few real 5 star hotels in Cancun sadly this isn't one of them.

Club level awesome view but not worth the money spent. Children were running freely with no shoes and yelling loudly. Food presentations were always low because families decide to use this feature as their meals throughout the day depriving other guests (staff did not do an adequate job of replenishing). Kids should not be allowed on this floor. When on vacation most people want a quiet and relaxing environment especially when you pay extra for it.

This hotel is weird. I think the architect wanted you to feel in a really fancy place. Instead you feel creeped out in the low ceiling corridors that look like they are right from a horror movie. I think it's supposed to look french or something… Well I am actually french and I tell you it feels fake as hell. I enjoyed the pools and the beach. This beach side is pretty windy and therefore has a lot of waves — — I like waves :). The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The Ritz Carlton Cancun is beautiful inside and out. I have a room overlooking the ocean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I had a delicious sandwich in the resteraunt for lunch. My experience so far has been wonderful. Id recommend the Ritz Cancun to anyone.

We loved our experience at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and efficient; the food at the restaurants was delicious; the beach and beach services were great… our room was kept clean and fresh all the time during our stay.

Amazing property great food great beach. Rook service was a bit slow but that was maybe because of the busy weekend.

One of those hotels star in the destination, great luxury and refining you expected, where care until the more minimum detail.

My wife and I visitted the Ritz for dinner in a private Casita for what we hoped would be a romantic evening. All our expectations were exceeded. The Casita, the service, the food were truly 5 star. Thanks to the staff it was a special occasion and we will go back every time we are in cancun.

Met with family for breakfast. Buffet was amazing. Great food and selections. The view of the beach was amazing as well. Afterwards we enjoyed one of their beach bars and some time in the water. Great experience and hospitality by the hotel.

The Ritz Carlton is pretty excellent. Its not really an "authentic" Mexican experience, but that's not the point if youre looking to come here. The location is in the middle of the "Hotel Zone" which means that everything in the area caters to you, the tourists. There is plenty of high end shopping and whatnot. The beach is as perfect as beaches get, and they have nice hut things you can reserve on the beach. The food is great, as are the drinks. The staff is all super friendly. We stayed at the club, which is the Ritzier Ritz on the top two floors… if you feel like shelling out that much I would highly reccomend it. They have a free (or included in room price) buffet pretty much the whole day and the food is on point. Very fancy. All in all a good time.

Nice rooms. Service in restaurant for midday lunch was spotty. But the waiter made up for it by giving us the missing item for free. Asked about the football game front desk said they would check and leave a message but no message took 10 minutes to find on tv. Would have been nice to have that message. The food presentation and preparation has been good. The beach service excellent.

First of, I don't place many reviews but I wanted to share my amazing experience and hope it helps others. I found the Casitas after an extensive search of a really romantic place in Cancun. I was looking to propose and I wanted to something extra special and memorable. This place is truly beautiful. I might be even say the pictures don't do it justice with a background of the white sands, waves, and beautiful Cancun sky overhead. As great as the setting is, the staff was what made the whole thing remarkable. I wanted to give a special thank you to Mariana for emailing me back and forth and helping me setting this up in California. I also wanted to give a thank you to Eduardo and Rudy. They went out of their way to follow my detailed instructions to make the night perfect. They even made emailed proposal note look like a genuine Ritz Carlton menu. Thank you for your help in making this perfect.

Everyone cares at the hotel! My wife slipped at the pool deck and 2 people showed up to help including the life guard who was stationed on the beach. His name was Nicholaos. She was not hurt but just slipped. We felt special and did not feel as though they were wanting our tip $. Exchange your USD $ at the front desk as it is better exchange rate than airport. $100 got us 1, 600 peso. The food was GREAT food!

It's the people that make a 5 star hotel just that. I had a miserable day, a canceled flight, the lobby bar was closed and I had been sent to the pool bar to eat because I didn't have proper attire. Salvador (the pool bar bartender) went out of his way to cheer me up. The food and service were as they always are at the Ritz, fantastic. In a survey I received by email later I mentioned I wasn't happy that the lobby bar had been closed. The next day the manager of the hotel, Wenceslao Fuentes contacted me to see what he could do. I have always choosen the Ritz first and always will. A bad day at the Ritz is better than a good day anywhere else.
