I want to start that I made a bad choice by going to this hotel. Usually hotels in Mexico are in great condition but this one was the worst by far. Short staff and lots of insects on the hallway floor, on the way to the elevator, in the pool area and lots of flies in the buffet area. I want to say that the Only A La Carte restaurant on the 5th floor, food was great and cleaned. How ever in the main buffet for breakfast was a lot of flies all over the food, I was only able to eat Chilaquiles because that was the only thing I did not see flies. We was in a suite on the 10th floor and it had a bad smell like mould. Unit was spacious but old and in need of an upgrade. We regret that we went there since we was promised two nights and after the first night we was told they no longer can provide us with the second night since it was rented to another family. Unfortunately we took our belongings and left the country to another tourist spot in the Caribbean.

Very friendly hotel staff, in this time they are building one more tower, the food is very rich, the beach is very nice clear sea and clean sand, it is somewhat loose, it is not compact as on other beaches but on the side of the stones you can see great variety of fish.

The Pool Barman (Juan) attends little mother, very well made Juan! For your services I'd come back.

Service is great, food is delicious, customer service is great, Cecilia the entertainment staff very friendly, funny and sociable, Fernando the bartender as well very attentive and excellent customer service. Thank you to all the Park Royal stuff for a great vacation time. If you don't mind about the construction noise it's okay otherwise you're not going to be happy.

This would be the third time attending this hotel as always my experience is very good.
They offer the Italian restaurant, with exquisite dishes and excellent attention from the waiters.
It is always clean, they take care of the details, the view that this hotel has and that has private Olaya is a plus.

We were there a year ago and everything was excellent, but we would have loved that the pool was warm as we were unable to enjoy it because of how icy it was at any time of the day, with children not being able to enjoy it… From there to more recommended!

Horrible. The noise of its construction is unbearable… It's a robbery to keep selling room service. They expect you to water the "inconvenience" and not offer an apology for the inconvenience. Don't waste your money, it's not even cheap.

Excellent service, clean facilities, comfortable rooms, all the delicious food, the pool sooo Honda, a lot of disposable glass and straws.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good food is buffet and the Italian restaurant very rich. Some commented that the dish was with little ration but the very big truth the dish. The beach is very clean and the bar and snack service on the beach. The pool water is at room temperature but very clean. I liked the whole truth very much. (The only bad thing about this message is that the hotel is in remodeling and there is a lot of noise that ends up getting angry and no longer enjoying the stay. )

Conformatable, Basic, is in remodeling what is sometimes uncomfortable as they start working at 8am and one goes to sleep and rest. The staff at the club are very insistent on showing the plans.

I stayed 5 days in February 2018. Bad reception, I waited room 50 minutes, clear after 3pm, the rooms they delivered were not ready, at least I saw three guests complaining about that… It's a nightmare the remodeling, the noise, and part of the already small pool is blocked. The food is acceptable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was very nice. I don't understand that, it's supposed that the front desk should take care of that first picture. Away from everything, but not at the same time as to stay there all day, limitadisimo in activities and no shows or varieties. It is assumed that after the renovation will be spectacular… Be?

The good thing; Nice beach walk to hotel, though short, but it does something private. The staff were very friendly and the room was very good. The bad: Far from the center, bedrooms with a smell of humidity, the overall appearance of the hotel is an old hotel, very short pool, lack of shows or night variety, if it is for rest. All they charge you, so with reservations. I'll put 8.

I loved it, it has a beautiful beach (even seems private) the food is good and the rooms quite comfortable and spacious. Nothing to discuss, exceeded my expectations. Better than many others.

Excellent hotel, privileged location, a few steps from the Quinta, with beach, a few meters from Mamitas, food, service and very good facilities. Variety in food and various restaurants. A good 4 diamonds.

Very nice hotel, all the service staff is very very friendly and attentive. Good food and great variety, all very rich. Very spacious and clean rooms. Two things that should improve and consider: for my taste the water from the pool should be warm as it does not stick much sun the water was cold and put a ramp to the food for people in a wheelchair and for the strollers because although we lent the Elev Service head then we forgot and we had to get back. Out of that very well congratulations to all the staff!

It's a very big father place. The attention of the workers is also very good, from the reception. It has many services and the atmosphere is very familiar. The food is delicious and the attention in the restaurant unbeatable. The rooms are large and comfortable, and with very good views. It has a private beach. The only bad thing (in my experience) is that it takes a long time to give you the rooms and you find something far from downtown Puerto Vallarta.

This hotel is in the middle of major renovations (as of December 2017). Our room was clearly brand new, frankly huge with a bathroom twice the size of ours at home. Comfortable and clean. Some down sides: we found rhe pool pretty cold, although the swimup bar helped snooth that over. Only two restaurants, and although the menu in the buffet changed daily it was all kind of the same. Always ok but not really fine dining. Location at the very end of the hotel strip means cab or bus to get anywhere at all, although cabs are pretty cheap. Perhaps the biggest irritant is the strongarm tactics used to try to rope you into a high pressure timeshare presentation. Avoid this if you possibly can. I gave it a 3 because it’s in transition but it will almost certainly get better. Of course the attractive price may go away too.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food rich but lack in most seafood being beach destination. A la carte Italian Restaurant at night is exquisite. Excellent remodeled rooms. All-inclusive beverages (alcoholic) prepared seem to be degraded with water. Excellent beach.

A lousy experience! At first do not let you know that they are building and there is too much noise, plus it shows a terrible disorganization that makes the stay even worse. The star I put is for the kitchen team and waiters, their work is excellent! Good for them! Bad for reception and concierge who didn't solve anything.
In short, the worst experience in hotels. We wouldn't go back.

I had 5 all inclusive days a Park Royal. Yes it is an older building. Yes there is ongoing upgrading construction. But the quality and competency of service was consistent and continuous during my five days there in January 2018. Staff was friendly, helpful and competent at every turn. The room was impressive, the balcony view fantastic, the beach and pool clean and attended. The 3 meal a day food bar was fantastic in quality and choices. For what I went to Puerto Vallarata, Mexico for I found Park Royal able to deliver beyond any reasonable expectations. My kudos and thanks to the Managers and staff of the rich tradition of this resort. I recommend and would return if I have the opportunity… and the price is a great deal for what is received.

Very private beach Beautiful views. Bus transportation excellent! No trouble getting to town.

Budget was pretty ok. Few bad dishes here and there. The rooms are extremely nice and there is even a convenience store in the lobby.

The service during the stay was good. The food is OK, and the cleanliness is fine. But in the end, they wanted to do extra charges to our stay for a misunderstanding they had from the bank with which they did a promotion and they wouldn't let us go. To the point where the car that was going to get us had vans back to keep us from getting out.

Small Hotel with excellent service and quality. Their beach is very beautiful and we even had the experience of seeing a whale. The room is gigantic compared to the common hotels. I found the price very fair.

The hotel is under construction, and will be for quite a while. There is also what looks and smells like sewage running directly across the beach into the ocean. The construction is overwhelmingly loud and exhaust from the equipment is smelly. This is what you will experience.

The place is nice the beach is unique, the care is really very good, the food does not vary much, especially at breakfast, but tastes good. Removed points the remodeliación, I hope to return when it is operating at 100%

In my first few hours of stay I must say that I am very impressed with not only the staff but the hotel too. After parking and walking up to the hotel I was greeted by Max. Max immediately helped me with my luggage and showed me to the front desk where I was welcomed by Jaclyn. Both asked if I spoke Spanish and understood that I do not speak very much Spanish. They continued to speak to me in English, and very well I might add. They took interest in the fact that I had a long trip and wanted me to have the best experience after a long day of travel. Considering how young Jaclyn is I expect she will have a long great career ahead of her if she chooses to stay in the industry. She explained in detail about the resort and finished checking me in and gave me a couple options for rooms. After choosing, Max showed me up to my room and gave me a tour of the room. Very helpful. Being very hungry I was excited to go down to the buffet for dinner. Even though the sun had set having dinner next to the beach and listening to the breaking waves is absolutely breathing taking. The hostess greeted me and showed me the the table where my waiter immediately greeted me and offered a few suggestions of drinks. Walking around the buffet line before choosing what I wanted, everything looked great and fresh. I chose a bit of everything and enjoyed it all. This is only my first night for my two week vacation and I will update. So far I imagine this will be a great and well needed vacation.

A hotel that leaves a lot to be desired as far as the pool water was super cold and more when you carry children commented the girl who is the one in charge of doing the activities in the pool that in three days it was heated that changed it completely I was 4 days and the water It was the same never heated also that it is cold gives very little sun to the pool minimum to say if the sun does not feel so cold but nothing, the food in the pool or beach called snack takes too long the only redeemable and the best of all is That all the staff serve you very friendly to that if it is under construction and it makes too much noise to think about that before you go.

Three stars in the stay when staying at the hotel because they are remodeling there is only one pool one buffet restaurant three times of the day and this other restaurant that opens only at night and you have to make reservations Italian food… I qualify a star in the BUFFET RESTAURANT because the food is changing but it is the same comment that they recycled and laughed because if not ate in a way to the next time the other way but they were the same stews and 5 stars For all the staff who work ahy in that if I came very grateful in their attentions waiters, reception, bar of drinks, respect to the manager of the hotel whenever I saw it because I was a week stayed always I saw him eating in the RESTAURANT BUFFET fisherman and it was by the S mornings and twice at mealtime, but never approached as other managers of other hotels to ask the guests if we were satisfied that speaks well of a manager does not mean that with all the guests do it but if you must in when you do and never H Izo is a suggestion I do not judge because it was not going through his mind because they are many commitments for construction is all my feeling and hope improves what has to improve, blessings for all.

Perfect for relaxation away from crowd. Nice beach front, beautiful renovated rooms, friendly staff. Spend time on pool side with your favorite cocktail at the bar or enjoy a nice walk on the gorgeous beach. Downtown is easily accessible by bus or taxi at a reasonable price for a daily escape.

I've read a ton of complaints about this place. Here's a thought: You get what you pay for. I knew coming in this was the cheapest vacation my husband and I ever booked. I was pleasantly surprised by the very large room. It's clean. The staff is amazingly helpful and polite. The food is pedestrian, but what else should one expect at these rates? The best part is they're not bugging us about timeshares! I've paid top dollar to be harassed on a daily basis by rude timeshare sales people. This is a nice, quiet, small family place. It's full of polite Mexican families, which is WAY better than the typical Eurotrash we're usually subjected to when traveling outside the US We're right on the water, the views are amazing. If you want Sandal's, stop being cheap and go to Sandal's.

Friendly staff, clean room, good food & drinks, nice pool and beach. But we haven't been able to enjoy the latter that much because of high surge, although the weather is really nice and almost without any wind. Trip to the city center by bus (orange-white ones) is fast (15 minutes) and cheap (7, 5 $ (pesos) at the time of this writing).

Staff were all wonderful except for trying to change a room. No non — motorized water sports as advertised. No activities or entertainment except for 2 out 6 evenings. No in-room refrigerators or microwaves. Not even cold bottled water anywhere in the hotel. Breakfast buffet had a good variety but pretty much same thing every day. Italian restaurant was good one night and horrible next time. Hard to get change for large pesos… had to go back several times to desk and then could only change small amounts. Pool was so cold nobody hardly could get in it. Beach is very small. All around was very disappointing. I will never go back there.

We hit Park Royal on a day pass this afternoon to visit with friends who are in town. It's a pretty decent place. Most of the pool doesn't get a ton of sun (middle of February) until around 1pm. Drinks were fine and food was pretty good. Lots of Mexican options. I guess that makes sense. What I really like is that it's a pretty small resort so it' doesn't feel overrun with people. Plus it's south of town so it's down in the jungle. Absolutely beautiful end of the city.

LEGOLAND weekend from April 29 to May 1 ro and we spent August my family and I really was afraid of the eatancia by the comments from here down but already avia echo my reservation, already not I could cancel.
Personally this Regular Hotel because in remodeling and the view is not very nice and lift bo works always, rooms are beautiful and spacious, but they do not change sheets unless you request otherwise there let them and the covers definitely these so let them smelled very bad, better not to use them food concerned it was regular, not very good, not very bad, the best thing of all is that anyone get sick service of the staff was good, all very kind and very nice sea is green so clean that this, without waste and without stones, clean sand you are missing many things to improve the Hotel but within all, polite well.

We stayed at Park Royal Apr 12-22/16 and enjoyed our visit and would go back. If you want a place that is quieter than staying in the Hotel Zone and on a private beach, check Park Royal out. At first, Taxi driver had a problem finding hotel only because the sign was taken down as hotel was in transition from Best Western to the new "Park Royal" name. Park Royal signage was put up while we were there. Staff: The staff at the hotel were friendly, helpful and did their best to help guests enjoy themselves. Brenda at the front desk went out of her way to help with any questions. Gonzol, waiter in the restaurant was the best; in fact all the waiters were friendly, professional and gave great service. We were all inclusive and the food was great. Breakfast was Buffet or you could order off the menu. Lunch & Dinner, we ordered off the menu and the cook took the time to put the extra touches on the dish for eye appeal. I loved the Strawberry Margaritas. Rooms· Ocean view room was large, clean and private. Great view from the room because the balconies were glass for the best view of the ocean from the bed and balconies were very private. Loved the sound of the ocean surf and waves crashing at night. Park Royal has a private sandy beach, lovely pool, 2 restaurants, 2 bars, one of the bars has bar stools in the pool and entertainment Friday and Saturday nights. The have a gym which is open 24/7 and also a Spa and Gift Shop.

Very bad service in nov of another year I was in Vallarta Jalisco, very rude service facilities because the treatment is saw that as we were not foreigners not treated us well. The package we had contracted disregarded it as a romantic dinner already that the package was honeymoon, almost at the time of the agreement had no indication of make it, to the last agreed has have it but all very improvised… Very bad service and the truth do not recommend since I carry a very wrong impression and above all a bad time of what should be special my honey moon…

Very bad experience! In the Easter of the 2016 picked this hotel and upon arrival you dealt with people of the walks podiento credit card that obviously didn't them. To assign to us fourth pillows with very bad smell and food hurt us and they had no doctor going to reception. We stayed there March 21 — March 26, it was awful. The front desk was very slow at check in they only had one person My daughter and I both got ill, I had to spend a whole day in bed because I vomited all night. I was so sick I wanted to leave. I saw other people at the restaurant asking for tea to calm their stomachs. The card to enter the room never worked, my husband had to ask for a new one ever time we tried to open our room. The elevator never worked. The concierge tried tricking us into attending a timeshare sale presentation by offering us discounts to different events she asked for a deposit upfront, which we never got back because we didn't go. I don't plan on returning to this place ever. It may be all inclusive but the food wasn't good either. Stay away.

The prices are too high for what is, it seems to me that back made in design and looks like a hotel old and either. 4 people only suites with basic things. The only good thing is the view of the sea and pool.

Nice setting. Fixtures in the bathrooms badly in need of upgrade as they are cracked and leaking. Towels and shower curtains old and fraied. The elevator is small and unreliable. The bed and bedding apear to be new and we're comfortable. I would not call it a Best Western plus. Service was complicated. We got food poisoning at the buffet in the restaurant. The beach and pool area make it worth the trip.

Hotel is very old and very deteriorated, the cleanliness leaves much to be desired, the bathrooms are in very very bad conditions and the care is terrible, the swimming pool in poor conditions, and the elevators almost never funcionana.

I rate 5 stars for this hotel! Nice sized rooms at a good price. It's right on the beach which my kids loved. I would definetly use this hotel again.

Air conditioning sucked and noisy, no fridge in room. No beer off sales. Other than that very nice place.

Because of their orientation Sun hours are very limited, in this moment I am here and being 17:00 hrs, there is no Sun half an hour ago. Sun started playing pool at 11:00 am. In the end. Most of the staff were helpful. I had to goto the front desk twice and ask for coffee for the in room coffee maker. The building itself is in need of repair. There is cracked and broken stucco everywhere. The elevators are very old and tiny. The food at the restaurant was ok. The rooms need to be updated as does the building itself.

Lousy Service at the reception desk, my reservation supposedly was not well, and they charged me extra to be able to stay in what is always fixed my problem with the promise that reembolsarian the next day, the error was of the this year. Very nice view and the suite is very good.

They have a service first has a beautiful beach of crystalline water that you feel to be in the Caribbean.

This place is run down, and the attitude of the staff matches it. We got a room here for $54+tax, which is not bad. Still I wouldn't recommend this place because it is in the middle of nowhere, and the beach has pretty big waves.

Excellent suites main bed Wow. Good drinks lack better service from the waiters to the Mexican. They crave by foreigners.
