Nice clean rooms… beautiful views. Good food and friendly staff. Special shout out to Manuel at the Guest Services desk… and Carlos, our server at the buffet restaurant, both were very helpful and pleasant to talk to. We highly recommend the Mexican restaurant, we went back 3 times and between us tried almost everything on the menu… delicious! There could have been a bit more attention to keeping the pool area clean with the volume of people in the afternoons.

The Hotel Melia Puerto Vallarta was a beautiful location. The view was outstanding with mountains on the side next to the bay. It is a safe location to visit with family, you are able to go off resort and see local town and attractions. I would recommend this hotel for my family to come visit another time.

We booked one thing and they gave us the rooms they wanted and despite that very bad one of the very rude reception staff does not listen just says "it's what there is"
We were two families and one was put in a tower and we in another super far away, we pay platinum according to the best and they have little variety of international alcohol, very good food, there is only a pool, there is q fighting for beds.
The only thing worth it is the staff as waiters and bar are very friendly.

Lousy hotel rooms in very bad condition, pool in some parts did not have mosaic and that made one hurt their feet, repetitive food in general a hotel in poor condition and where it does not match what they charge you, I do not recommend checking the opinions so that they do not throw away their money.

The hotel is very good, you have large green areas, the service of the restaurants and bars is very good, the only bad thing is the rooms, they are not clean, no matter how much you ask for it, they do not make a good toilet.

The tub seems quite dangerous to me should have a tub mat. On the beds not a quilt or duvet. The truth for what we paid and what we imagined is missing a lot is supposed to be a very good category hotel but if you need it. Quite simple room.

Noted for lousy service, just to get the job done. Poor hygiene in its facilities. Poor quality in their food, no taste, no salt, beaten. Drinks reduced 14 ices in a glass. I definitely can't recommend it at all.

Despite having a short stay, I was delighted, the hotel is very big and nice, all their staff super friendly, they have very good service to the guest, there was a delay in the delivery of the room and they compensated us with several details, the food and bar very good, the Balinese beds super! the location is privileged, a few meters from the marina, from the hotel you see up close the huge cruise ships, its beach not to mention, a delight, I want to return to this beautiful place.

The staff very friendly their areas very well and the food good… They only need to vacuum the pool and better the omelet the chef does not. He knows how to make them… I recommend it very good hotel in general…

The truth, I liked it a lot, I went with my three children and their families and I liked the food, which is buffet and has all kinds of meals daily, which we had very good attention from the staff From the food area, yes there were too many families, the pool, the cleaning service if it was daily, It has Spa service, which my daughter and I took, it is very central, we were able to go to department stores, very close to the airport. This is the second time. And it has a beautiful view of the hotel center, the sea and all the gardens. And boy am I a very special person. I do recommend it. Last time I only came with my daughter. I do give it a 5

How sorry I am to have come to Melia, restaurants, bars and nursery out of service, the very bad food and poor hygiene in the restaurants, they gave me dirty cutlery and glass and that they are supposedly sanitized. Lousy service from the staff, the girl from restaurant reservations very rude. And we barely have a day, let's hope this improves… although I doubt it.

The service is very good despite the limitations that exist due to covid, the staff is very friendly and the food is rich… the only thing I could criticize is the dessert bar and that there should be another bar supporting the pool bar.

The food is not good nor the ala cart dinner or buffets. Could better the customer service in being more friendly and or more Courteous. Towel service is horrible in the pool and the room. The air conditioner in the bedroom needs to be improved. There are not outlets to charge or plug in anything except in the bathroom. The snack bar only consists of chips and maybe carrots. Very limited seating around the hotel. Don’t be fooled by the pictures of the so called beach.

There are several things in which you can improve, in terms of the rooms have no connectors and there are no light only lamps that illuminate very little, but most importantly in the food, there is really no variety in anything and the food is very tasteless, the snacks are only potatoes with sauce, there should be more variety in food and the little that there is does not taste rich.

I stayed at this wonderful hotel 2 years ago, and It was one of the most fascinating vacations I've ever had.
The food was delicious, the service was so fast. All people who work in that place are really friendly, specially the waiters and the barman. The rooms were very comfortable and clean.
At night, you had four different restaurants to have dinner. My favorite was the Italian restaurant.
I hope comeback one day to this hotel because it is a very special occasion for me and my family.

For the food, I'm not coming back! Fatal. Old and maintenance-free facilities. The drinks the same, leave a lot to be desired… The puffff service… Anyway! I'm just not coming back.

Excellent place all beautiful. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The waiters of the excellent restaurant all … also those who were in the pool area, in the pool bar and in the second-floor bar very friendly. Delicious food.

Awesome vacation with my wife. Had a great deal as it was last minute so our expectations were realistic. That said, I thought the food was very good and also the drinks (especially when asking in my very poor Spanish for top shelf tequila). The staff were great in all aspects of the hotel service from the attentive pool service to the helpful desk staff — no complaints whatsoever. Best is location — close to the marina opens up a whole bunch of dining experiences. We ate probably 50% of our meals there. I stayed here also about 15 years ago. I can’t really remember my old experience but feel the hotel is in need of some upgrades. But I can live with that if the food and service etc. Is good. It was! In summary I’d go back and recommend to others. People just need to chill-out and set their expectations accordingly. Also being nice to the staff goes a long way to enjoying one’s vacation; remember that folks. We also tipped frequently. Hasta la Proxima Puerto Vallarta!

Although the service was very good the hotel is old and needs a face lift.
We noticed that this time of the year they were a lot of locals Mexicans vacationing here lot of families with small children.
The food really catered to the Mexicans.
Had Mexican food for breakfast lunch and dinner.
The good thing location of melia was 10 minutes from airport and a walk away from the marina the shops and the mall.

1 star is too much, they are not trained to attend an emergency, and they don't care either.

Excellent service from the staff. At all times they were respectful and helpful. The rooms very clean, the pool excellent to enjoy with the family, I definitely recommend it and I hope to be able to return on my next vacation. One thing I want to congratulate you on is that I accidentally lost a bag of clothes, went with the hotel staff and they helped me find it until I was able to get it back. This speaks very well to the staff, honest and with an excellent idea of quality customer service.

I loved the service and attention of the staff, very friendly and helpful. The bar personally takes a 10! Mainly the lobby bar. The restaurants offer delicious food. You can tell the years of the hotel, it is well taken care of but, if you have visible details you would be great to fix them. Like the same way clean your beach a little, highly recommended!

Such an amazing place to take your family. Fun for all ages. The food was amazing there Mexican food was so good the pasta was amazing. Every night at the buffet they would have different stuff it was themed every night with different stuff. There pool was so warm it felt so good. The activities were so awesome the workers that ran them were so nice and so down to earth and were so into there jobs we felt like family the hole time staying there. We felt so safe had no worries at all. The only thing that was a little below a five was the housekeeping some days were better than others. Some days we slept in a bit late and the housekeeping would be there bout 9:30 and we would tell them 10 mins and we would be out someday they didn't come back tell way later and would forget to restock items. But other than that everything else was so much fun and amazing.

We had an awesome family vacation. The resort restaurants have outstanding food options and delicious authentic Mexican cuisine as well as Japanese, Italian, and other international choices. Customer service is wonderful and is a great place for kids. The rooms have a beautiful view to the ocean and they go above and beyond to accommodate any request you may have. Definitively recommended!

Excellent service all the staff is very kind and helpful, the food is great. Best things are the snack on the side of the pool and the 2 restaurants that are also included, you just have to make reservation. The facilities in general are good, they can be improved but in general even it is an old hotel they are in good conditions. The rooms are clean. If you are planning to stay in this hotel you won't regret it.

The time I had at this resort was great. The pool was always clean, the beach had no debris and my room was very nice. The food was good compared to what I have had at other resorts. The drink selection was incredible and the staff were genuinely nice. The only thing I didn't like was when going down to the beach you are always bombarded by salesmen trying to sell you the same uselesss junk every single day and they constantly try to sell to you even when you refuse… all day. Besides this I would recommend this resort.

Food well. Good quality and good presentation. The service in the restaurants and the waiters well.
The hotel is old not very careful we say and they have a surveillance service that is a constant pornel nightmare in harassment for the guest. Eye without giving cause, without breaking rules disturb all the time.
-You're supposed to rest at the hotel, not take care of the surveillance staff.

Excellent Hotel All Inclusive. They have many activities for children, lots of spaces for adults. There's a show every night. The food, the drinks, the very rich snacks. Clean rooms and facilities very well. It's a big, safe place.
It has a souvenir shop, but if you do not get what you need there, two blocks away is the marina, there are all.

Everything is perfect, maybe it could improve the design as some parts of the hotel, although not neglected, give a bit of an old look. But outside of that is an excellent service.

We recently spent a week at the Melia hotel in Puerto Vallarta. The resort is beautiful. It is right on the beach. It is close to the airport and right across the street from the marina. The staff are friendly and work really hard to provide an enjoyable experience for their guests. The Activities Team is amazing and provided so much fun for our sons. They had opportunities to be involved in activities all day long. The food is abundant and there is something for all food preferences. The drinks are endless and the waiters work hard. This was our second time there and we would definitely go back.

My hubby took me for my birthday in mid March for 7 days. I could of stay a month. The staff was amazing friendly and very helpful. The food was delicious best resort food that I have had. The property was very clean. The shows were fabulous we see all 7 very entertaining. Can't wait to go back. The rooms could use a little updating but it was comfortable.

Pleasantly surprised! Having booked a quick long weekend getaway we decided to try this place out. The overall building is getting tired looking and definitely needs some updating. Food is quite good and the staff are wonderful. The grounds are well kept. The shows at night were great as well. Wi-Fi isn't so good except at the lobby. It's pretty good there. We usually stay at 5 star properties and this resort actually came pretty close. Not bad and we'll probably consider coming here again.

This place is authentic! Very serene, great food and service. The spa is Devine. Down on the beach they have the sweetest most kind venders. Every night they have entertainment under a open air grass roof theater. You can't go wrong staying here!

We just returned from Melia and we were disappointed on service, food and room security. The food was always cold at the buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Never a hot meal. Did not want to try a la carts and have cold food there also. Pool bar closed before pool was closed and there was only one other bar that was in front lobby. We were not the only ones who complained. Front lobby was a good walk away from bar. We should have did more research on this place. Now the worst part was we left some money in our short pockets and it was taken. There was 800 pesos taken right out of my husbands pocket that were in our luggage bag. I know what people will say "you should have put it in safe" not paying to use safe for starters and secondly we used to be able to trust staff at the Mexico resorts and have left money out in the open before at other resorts. What has happened to trusting? We did not talk to front desk about as we did not have proof, so that was their tip and they didn't get anymore. On the good side it is a beautiful resort. Beaches are clean and so is resort. Lots to do off the resort. More of a laid back resort. Would not return to this resort.

It is a good place to spend a holiday with family or couple, the facilities deserve an improvement, but overall it is a recommended hotel, the attention of all the staff is good. We had a very quiet and pleasant stay.

Just spent a week here. Great food. Nice atmosphere, beautiful gardens, excellent service, nice people, nice big pool, nice rooms, excellent location, and affordably priced. I read a lot of bad reviews on this resort. Was a little worried. Very happy we made the decision to stay here. Would defiantly recommend staying here. It's beautiful. Quiet has nightly family appropriate entertainment. It's across the street from marina with endless things to do. Not a party place, if your looking for wild party's this isn't the place, if your looking for a nice resort with great food nice big pool. Relaxing and close to many things to do. It can't be beat. Beautiful resort with excellent customer service. My only complaint is that they serve drinks without ice and that there are no self serve ice machines throughout the resort. They even exchange dollars for pesos on site! This was a huge relief to me since I was rushing and didn't get pesos before I visited. The resort has a lot of amenities, but it is not a party place. There isn't a nightclub or casino on site. The beach is really nice too. This resort is good for families, including grandparents. I was told that the nearby strip had good night life. I didn't go downtown. Another great thing is that it's really close to the airport. Also, it's in a very safe area. I would stay here again and I recommend the Melia!

One of the best beaches in Puerta Vallarta. Great staff! Clean, re-done pool, kayaks, boogie boards. Decent food. Could use one more restaurant. Safe.

Beautiful property! We stayed for a quick weekend. The property was very beautiful and the layout was well put together. Very clean. The employees were very pleasant and welcoming as well. The only bad thing was not being able to make dinner reservations before 10 am and after 4 pm. Many of our pre-booked tours started before 10 and didn't get back until well after 4 pm. Additionally, you can only make reservations the day of.

The truth is that the people who work there from the intendant to the excellent reception… the very old facilities and elevators in a bad state… the food is terrible and in the firm is not enough if you're late. The truth is that it hurts for the food is really very bad… but I repeat the staff fabulous.

It's wonderful in every way. A beautiful beach and lots of views to take pictures. The sea very beautiful, along with its sunset, the weather that was in January was magnificent. The food and "snacks" very good but above all the attention was impeccable. Your days are flying in that paradise.

Nice people, good drinks but you have to ask. Obviously the tip helps a lot! Good pool and infrastructure. They don't open all the restaurants every day and they do a lot of queuing to book every day at the time they open booking. Lots of people with kids, family atmosphere. Good food in general. Good cost/benefit ratio.

Cost is all inclusive, so all meals and drinks, including at the bar and mini-bar are “free”. Wifi signal in rooms is poor though.

The rooms smell like a pipe, the air conditioner doesn't work. In his video and reviews says Q have a crown and it is not. Tequila Don Julio, married and other sell them apart those who attend are very cordial and helpful!

Acted poor judgemment. Put me on the street. The administration staff are the worst I have ever encountered. My story: traveled with lady friend. No relationship. She became upset when she was to pay $100 of her own ticket to rhythm of thee night. I booked and paid mine. When I went to show, she went to front desk said she was scared and I held her personal documents (passport). At the time I was unaware of this… next morning Susana from administration informed us we were kicked out of the resort for domestic problem… really. Said I was hold lady personal information. I called the police as I have seen these situations go from bad to worse quickly… I waited at the front for police. When they arrived a senior staff member raced over to the and started speaking in Spanish of course… it was my call to 911. I then went strait to room and gathered all my belonging to leave, including passport from safe in room. Lady friend passport was not in safe. She new password to safe. went down with all my belonging and then was able to speak with police. Lady friend said I had held her passport, I said its not even in the safe. I approached lady friend and I asked her where is your passport? she said in the safe! no its not. Then the staff and police went with her to the room to get all her belongings, and yup her passport was inside her luggage, not in safe as stated. Wwhen they cam e back down to where I was with two other police officers.

It is a nice hotel. I've stayed here a few times. The Wi-Fi almost never works in this area except the lobby and pool area near theater (last time it already worked in the lobby). Wifi is essential for sharing pictures with friends and therefore having interested friends ask. The food is decent. The service really depended on each individual. There were some people who were attentive and others that didn't even try. We would have generously tipped those if they even walked by to check on us (but we still tipped them). If we tipped generously before getting our food (for those we recognized) or spoke to them in Spanish and tried making conversation they would treat us better. I love the fruit. The view is nice. We had an ocean view room and could see the ocean and garden areas. I did have issues with the bath tub. If the water pressure was too high it would switch to the shower while I was trying to take a bath. I'd almost always get sprayed. There were more native Mexicans on the weekend. Friday was the busiest day as the food was Mexican. Because of this it seemed they spoke Spanish more often than English. I understand and speak it but my significant other does not so I did have to translate more than I remember. All in all, it is a nice stay.

The customer service approach at this resort whether you call or in person is 0, there's no effort everyone from front desk to baggage. There was confusion with my check in apparently because I booked a suite… had to wait 30 mins for desk clerk to tell me I had to register at vip desk, which made no sense it wasnt faster or any different because vip only has 2 people working and I was the third guest so it added to my wait. Vip just means. More confusion there are no perks, nonsensical. The rooms are dirty and there is a foul smell I booked a suite and my expectations for a resort which charges a high rate was a lot higher. I am not local so I could only go by internet pictures. It is an all inclusive hotel but drinks are overly sweet and the food grade is very low. It saddens me to give this negative review because people depend on their jobs however melia leadership needs to mimic what other resorts are doing especially with customer service. I don't recommend staying here it is outdated and in bad shape. I expected way more on my vacation, I don't mind paying but there is no quality here. I should've, stayed at Marriott.

A family place. It lacks maintenance however you pass it very well. Price-quality very good. It gives you more than you pay.

Love this place. From Sept 17 to 23. Yes there is a tile missing here and there some areas need more paint but the attention and service from all the people we came across was simply impeccable. Thanks Leonor at room service, Edgar on various food venues and Genesis at the desk, you guys were family. Can not wait to go back despite coming all the way from east coast. Been to 7 Melia resorts, this place might not be the biggest or the beach with white sands but gardens, food service and entertainment will forever be remembered.

Absolutely the worst Melia resort we have visited. Been an owner of Melia for 28 years and have visited every resort except Cabo. Would not recommend if you want to be discriminated against! Problems with our room and hospitality from the moment we arrived. Spent our honeymoon here 18 years ago and now realize why we shouldn't have returned!

Very disappointed, worst hotel experience for me and my family there is long lines for everything from checkin to restaurant reservation, bar to check out expect to wait 20 to 30 minutes in line. My 12 year old son cut he's finger with a rock at the beach we went to the Lobby to find a first aid kit to which they didn't have one, I had to leve the hotel to find some alcohol and bandage for him. The ac in the room don't work temp inside the room 85 full blast and never got colder. They claim free room Wi-Fi, but you have to pay per device at the gift shop to get Wi-Fi in the rooms. The pool is falling apart there is missing tile in many parts. The drinks at the bar are made with the cheapest liquor. The employees at Meliá puerto Vallarta are not helpful at all, they did not solve any of the many issues we had during our stay. The rooms are dirty and hairs in the shower the day we checked inn. The second day the maid left a red toilet cleaning glove next to my Tooth brush (see picture) They have 316 rooms and put 60 chairs at the shows at night. The floor to get to the rooms it's a hazard, you will fall if you are wet. The kids play ground was closed for remodeling. We Wil Never Stay in the Meliá again! i.

Great hotel. Friendly staff with great service. Also, nice pool. The reason I give this hotel 2 stars is because the rooms are not what I expected. When the AC is on it smells like nothing but MOLD! My throat itches and stuffy nose. The beds feel like they have moisture on top, they feel damp. They brought an extra bed for me that look like they got it out of the dump (not kidding. ) Even though my stay has been nice I have been dreading coming to my room to sleep. I will not be coming back! I hope this helps someone!

Went to an act of graduation, had few seats, the chairs very uncomfortable, much heat and the sound of the Hall not is heard well. Not enjoyable:)

The facilities are old but the service and attention to the customer is very good, always attentive to any question or request.
If you are not travelling with children, it is highly recommended to book a dinner in the restuarant the stained-glass Windows.
Activities are diverse and entertaining, from archery to the kayak and the wall of climbing.
Finally relaxed, it is highly recommended to take a 30 minute oceanfront massage.

This place is situated 15 minutes from the airport, on a boardwalk called the Marina which has without a doubt the best view of Puerto vallarta. It also has a service all inclusive premium only you worry for your fun.

The hotel and the staff were good. We had some problems with our tours and outdoor activities with sunwing guy, David. They dont provide any transportation for their tours and for 1 tour we had to go and pay twice for taxi because we thought he booked us for Wednesday, while the actual day was Thursday. They didnt even provide us with the refund of the extra charge that we paid! I am happy with the hotel but I dont recommend booking the tours with sunwing.

Good place for vacation with the family. It has a club for children with the flintstones theme.
They have shows at night, the place is nice, have ponds with koi fish and let you feed them (with their food).
The bars closed early and there's nothing open early in the morning if something strikes you.
The food is good and snacks also.
Archery and rifle shooting activities are not very good but entertain you for a while.
Recommended.

For me and my family uma great disappointment… A Melia Hotel when we arrived before greet already were asking for estacionarmos car had still not nor out of the car to lower luggage then one pass for making dinner reservations ok were at 3 pm there was no place, then on the other day went to make dinner early booking lad 10 am already had not again or… The Hotel not edta or near others who we were in Vallarta or Playa del Carmen… For the price that we were charged I thought that would be something by meno it regular but true that disappointment! Not revomiendo anyone!

In excellent location, very varied and rich meals and desserts, the cleaning, the nocturnal variety, poolbar excellent service I loved your international bar (especially mojitos) the hospitality of your staff is wonderful, its gardens, its beach everything I loved would warmly. I want to emphasize a guest describing bad your experience at this hotel, but not so go with the idea that passes them the same because actually I didn't have any problem with air, either with the minibar, and much less with the wildlife of the area, on the contrary mentioning that they have guekos everywhere and are beautiful, not everything is perfect and the most important of all is the attitude with which you are going to enjoy your vacaciones.
