We are in the middle of an amazing 4 week stay at Valletta Apartments 19. We strongly recommend you consider staying here. The location is perfect. You are 5 minutes walk from the central bus terminal allowing you to travel to anywhere in the island in about 30 minutes. You are 5 minutes walk to the ferry/water taxi to the 3 Cities across the harbour. The water taxi to Sliema is about 10 minutes in the other direction. You are only steps to Merchant Street and Republic Street — the location of countless shops and so many restaurants. You are literally steps from all the action but in a quiet residential location. Downstairs at ground level you have a bakery, literally next door. They sell baked goods, fresh and frozen meals, water, beer, wine and a few canned goods should you wish to cook in the very well equipped apartment kitchen. The owners of the bakery (Ivan and Tanya) take a genuine interest in helping the guests from the Apartments next door. Across the street is a Cafe serving lunches and there is also a restaurant next door to it. The rooftop terrace is a highlight of our stay. In the last 2 weeks there has only been 2 mornings when we haven't had our morning coffee up there watching the Mediterranean. And we are here in February/March. It is amazing. Your hosts Diane and Patrick are experts — their level of communication before and during our stay is matched by their obvious genuine concern that our needs are being met by their wonderful Apartments.
