A real little piece of paradise. We stayed at the Barefoot for our honeymoon and we do not regret choosing this hotel. The staff is pleasant smiling and very helpful. The rooms are very spacious and with the bed facing the sea it is a pleasure to enjoy this view as soon as you wake up.
As for the setting, a real postcard, everything is clean and perfectly maintained and decorated with great care.
The only downside if I really have to find one would be the Wi-Fi which at times cuts but nothing definitive.
I am already looking for the opportunity to redo this stay.

This place where you are right now, God circled on a map for you. Wherever your eyes and arms and heart can move against the earth and the sky, the Beloved has bowed there — knowing you were coming. That’s true. Just spent 2 weeks on this amazing island Hanimaadhoo. Waking up to the sound of the ocean was truly magic. Rooms are comfortable, nice, and very clean. The staff were so kind, friendly and always helpful. The food was great but I missed more legumes and nuts. The boutique was excellent big thank to Rai. This is an amazing differentiation. Walking Barefoot — is good for health and Soul — I really enjoyed it. Thank you all for making this holiday wonderful especially to Halim, Sozib, Mohamed (they do it all with a sense of humor that makes you feel like you are with an old friends).

For ecotourists, this is a small piece of heaven on Earth. The concierge service is excellent and very personal. (Gayan did an amazing job of handling travel logistics during difficult COVID times arranging transfers, PCR tests, airline bookings, and arrangements with other resorts) The excursions led by resident marine biologist Sara are amazing, never disappointing! I enjoyed seeing manta rays, stingrays, sharks and turtles among many other reef dwellers on various snorkeling excursions and the house reef. The food is great, and the environment is very quiet and relaxed. The house reef and beach are quite nice and private. The resident Aryuveda therapist gives excellent massages of all types, and there are wonderful nature-surrounded shacks for meditation and yoga. The natural decorations with local flora give the resort a nice natural touch, and the saltwater pool is a nice place to relax and hang out next to the juice bar and library. Health and safety are handled very seriously and COVID measures are properly taken according to standards. Oh, and the sunsets at the jetti are amazing!

Nice resort, fantastic beach, good food buffet and good dives with professional and safe well-equipped diving center. Bit expensive but well worth the price.

Again at any time. This is a value for sustainability. The rooms are large and clean. Food is excellent. Unfortunately, there is always the same time the run for dinner and then the buffet is empty. Some people only have hp and are starved. Wellness/massage is not cheap but very good. Diving base is good. Unfortunately, the coral reefs are no longer so beautiful. A problem that most Maldives islands have.

Beautiful place with amazing or I must say breath taking views. Awesome food, marvelous room service, excellent staff and mind blowing amenities. Simply 5 star in everything :)

Hanimadhoo is a very cute island and we are having the most amazing time here! The hotel is awesome! The staff is so friendly and nice and always willing to help. The beach is insane. Turquise water and white sand. The snorkeling Trips and in general trips are Great and we Loved them all so far. The locals on the island are insanely friendly and open for guests and there is even a bakery and a cafe in town. The eco structure of the hotel is also really amazing and outstanding! The buffet and food is really tasty and fresh. We are having a perfect stay and will definetly retourn.

Accommodation and food overall very good. Also suitable for families.
Negative: — Wild exorbitant prices for snorkel and mask — dolphin excursions or similar costs over 100 euros. If you get to face it is wonderful if not you pay for free without any goodwill or credit for another try a top to all: The locals are very nice and open-minded, the supermarket sing easily accessible and the restaurant dark Lobster A daily visit worth.

The best is the view to the sea and the beach cross-country skiing.

The Barefoot Eco Hotel is an amazing place in the Maldives! It's not your traditional Maldivian resort, since it is situated in an island with a village (normally resorts are located in private islands). This adds greatly to the whole experience! If you are the type of person that likes to learn about the local culture of the places where you travel, this is a perfect combination. The hotel does a lot of work to support the local community, such as hiring locals, providing free training for people to work in the tourist industry, tours into the local village, cooking shows hosted by locals and others. The hotel also tries to minimize its footprint in the environment. For instance, the hotel doesn't sell any drinks in plastic bottles. The location is stunning! You clearly get this sense of being off the grid, in a tropical place. We saw turtles, harmless sharks, different kind of rays (manta, eagle, sting), tropical fishes and dolphins. The hotel offers different daily programs to get up close to these, as well as to visit nearby historical places. The food provided is delicious! It's a mix of Italian with influences of local cuisine. On Friday's, is Maldivian night and you can have a full Maldivian dinner experience. Finally the staff makes the whole experience 5 stars! Everyone, from the reception, to the restaurant to the diving center was friendly and helpful! We spent there almost two weeks and had the time of our lives.

For me it was the perfect place to recharge my batteries. This is a really beautiful place on earth. The beach and the site of the resort is very nice. The food is also very delicious. The rooms are fine and have a nice view. The resort has a spa area and offers several activities like diving, snorkeling, boat trips and other excursions.

I have booked the hotel 6 months prior our wedding celebration journey using booking, 2 months before our arrival I received a cancellation from the hotel stating they are going to repair hotel and there is no way to be there during these period, and provided another option on an Island 500 m length where you have nothing to do during 11 days. We were trying to find out why they planned to repair hotel just 2 months before the and have not communicated properly and with time enough before our arrival, as 2 months before the date you can barely find something nice for a good price. We find out another good hotel a bit more expensive but it was new hotel (you can contact me to find out which one, do not want to advertise it). Neither booking was helpful nor the hotel. So bear in mind they can change their plans suddenly. Peace, Dumitru.

A very good eco hotel. Comfortable room, beautiful friendly and peaceful environment. The staffs are always ready to help and very approachable. We made alot of friends among the staffs and local people. We will recommend it and come back again. On the other side, there should be room for improvement and entertainment and other activities expecialy for young children, tenagers and young couple. There is no much entertainment for quests apart for the evening slide show documentaries. You could be bored if you have no private entertainments or no enough money to some of the hotel arranged activities.

Staff is very courteous, accomodation is great, everything is kept very clean and tidy. A marine biologist leads snorkeling excursions, and there is a competent and nice diving team. Only two drawbacks: the house reef is pretty far away from shore (about 400 m), and there is no alcohol on the island to respect local laws.

Peaceful and quiet but far out. You have to take an internal 45 minute flight to get here (no hydro plane or speedboat) and there are only 4/5 flights a day so be ready to wait a while at Male airport. The beach is beautiful, even if there are a few rocks that make getting in the water a bit tricky. The diving and snorkel facilities are great. There is free bike and kayak rental, and free yoga in the mornings. The food from the buffet is very good. But there is a lack of evening entertainment, no TV in the rooms or anywhere and Wi-Fi is painfully slow.

This is really nice place. I love it n I wish to visit there.
