We arrived at the Airport only to be forgotten about although, that’s not a big deal. I have to say the Maldivian staff are amazing. Friendly. The chef was downright rude and hostile. I think the hotel in general is ok value but despite any positives about it, the mould is an absolute health hazard and I got sick. The moment I entered the room I could smell it. Upon looking at the walls I was shocked. From top to bottom the ENTIRE wall was covered in a black and green mould so thick it resembled moss. I started coughing and a Dr reviewed the photos and completed examinations. I had suffered respiratory illness due to the mould. This was later again confirmed by a second Dr. (Allergic reaction) Mould can be dangerous and deadly in some cases. What made this worse was that when we said we were leaving, they asked us to say we weren’t there to bookings. Com in exchange for a refund. We were unwilling to lie so paid for the entire stay. It’s not right to lie.
