Very comfortable place, variety of foods, good & friendly staff.

The beds need improvement, the pillows need replacement. Assessories in the bathroom needs improvement. Bathroom is tolerable but if budget permits should go through some upgrading.

The room was very nice. Id loves the view. It was very spectacular. The food was can go la. The foods were very limited. They should offer more. Service was fast. The front office did a great job. Really recommended.

A good place for holiday. Just ensure you book the right room. Service however need improvement as they are lack of staff.

I chose to stay here as recommended by a friend for the ease of arrangement.
Sad to say that the hotel is run down. Room is shabby and also run down. Lighting is garish, with white fluorescent bulbs mixed with warm yellow.
The bathroom is bad and the water tap doesn’t work as it is.
I checked in around 4pm to notice that the lighting doesn’t work. Room was stuffy as the ac also doesn’t work. I called front office. Yes, they entertained me after some time. I come back from dinner around 8 pm just to see those thing happen again. Within 4 hours, o made 3 complaints of lighting and ac. The next day after my meeting I experienced the same. Called front office and they sent staff. Tired of this I said, is this the value for money I get from this hotel? My headache that happen upon back fr dinner yesterday become worst. They change the room. Ok. But then it doesn’t serve the purpose because the water tap at the main bathroom doesn’t work. Yes there is a bath tab, but what’s the purpose if the water is none. The bed is not too bad, and the pillows are acceptable. The restaurant — service is not the worst, but not the best either. Not many variety for a hotel during breakfast. Most of the time, are not very attentive to your needs. Other hotel restaurants normally refill your glass of water it they see it is empty, or even half empty. But not here. Dinner — quite ok.

Being there on fasting month. The choices of 'sahur/breakfast' meal were so limited, not so many choices of foods were available. I can say that, very few. But you may enjoy the view as the beach is just on the side, close to the hotel. You may spend your morning or evening sitting at the beach, Or you may also just sit on your balcony and enjoy the scenery if your room is sea-view type… just so lovely The cleanliness level is okay, eventhough the hotel is a bit old. The hotel is quite close to several eateries, within walking distance. So no worries about that. But if you are looking for proper dining, yes, you have to drive or call for the taxi. The location is also close to the city center, with a short drive.

The hotel is quite old, however its location in front of beach can be given as 5 star rating. It will be fine if you travel 2 people with twin bed room. However, if you travel with 3 people, your extra bed (that cost for Malaysian Ringgit 60.00) that will be provided by the hotel will be a super thin like a 1 star mattress. My goodness. The class is totally far below if compared to Perdana Hotel in Kota Bharu Kelantan that provides a 5 star extra bed. In terms of pool, yes I do agree, its good. The pool is located in front of beautiful beach. The breakfast buffet is moderate like a 3 star.

Would have given four, but the air con was spoilt (entire hotel) and we were not informed when checking in (checked in at 10pm). Otherwise room is decent sized, comfortable bed, large bathroom, good breakfast. Hotel is slightly older, so it has that older hotel vibe and at places odour, but nothing that bad.

The hotel is great. Sea view is an advantage here. Swimming pool is beautiful.

The food. The rooms. And the place is just right. There's a small pool by the beach where you can bask and enjoy the morning sun. Multiple function halls and seminar rooms available if you ever need one. Friendly staff, especially at the dining area. Made me feel like home. Oh and the beach is like 10 seconds away so you can play at the beach any time you like.

Nothing much changes here at Primula over the years. If you want a beachfront location in the city, this would be the place. That if you don't mind the old-school feeling of it. Breakfast spread was poor for a hotel of this category. Wifi was close to non-existent. Family guests however will find themselves quite happy here as there's a big pool for kids.

There's everything to like about this hotel. Popular with the business folk, families and holiday makers. Good choice of food and beverage outlets.

Kids enjoyed the pool, breakfast was ok. Loved the hot freshly cooked cokodok and cucur. I think we got the refurbished room, everything looked fairly new. Beach was full of litter which is the usual in Terengganu.

The room was big, spacious, but old. There wasn't much change since I came here 30+ years ago. It was once a prestigious hotel but now it looks ancient and oldy. Was looking fwd to stay here. Cause I remember the awesome view but only the view is worth it.

It was at the hotel lobby. Behind me was the musician performing traditional music on the same day HRH QUEEN OF wJOHOR beloved mother to HRH TMJ the president of FAM also stay at the same hotel.

This hotel need refurbishment. It never change after so many year. Not reflective of it value. Over price. Location is nice which is facing the sea.

Nice hotel, by the long sandy beach, but it was raining whole day so I didnt manage to stroll and enjoy the beach. Food is good.

Reception staff very helpful upon check in. But service needs to be improved like towel was not in the room and took a few calls to get. Both treadmills in gym not working although they have been reported to management months.

Spacious room, very clean with flat screen tv, large bathroom and balcony. Nice swimming pool by the beach. A lot of choice in the breakfast buffet.

This hotel is nicely located at Batu Buruk Beach in the city of Kuala Terengganu. I stayed here for two nights in a deluxe room. My first impression upon arriving can be described in one word, classic. The hotel interior especially the lobby was influenced by local traditional art, wood carving. I find out that this property is accessible to nearby beach with green turf and nice landscape right before the sand. In overall, the hotel strength was overshadowed by poor maintenance of its facilities. The hotel management need to look seriously area around swimming pool, whereby a staircase leading to water slide was not properly furnished with tiles. Due to that, the cement render is getting some mud and rough surface may hurt (maybe) someone in future. Underneath the water slide, is a pumping system originally covered with wall, however now exposed after the wall collapsed. Cleanliness can be improved. The room carpet, furniture and all fittings look very old. I heard a good hotel change their furniture every 5 years. I am not sure with Primula. Other than the things that I mentioned here are acceptable.

A big old Hotel that is still standing along Batu Burok Beach, Kuala Terengganu. Almost out-dated especially on rooms & furnitures, they are still in the mode of 60's. 2 elevators infront of front-desk was so small to accommodate not more than 6 average guest with small luggage. The best thing about this hotel is, its strategic location near to the Batu Burok Beach. At anytime you can access to the sea-shore & stroll to the food trucks place to enjoy the fascinating Terengganu.

It have 2 block. The old block need to be improves. The design was old and lack of cleanliness on water. No issue for other block.

Wouldn't go to this place anymore. Service was bad and slow. Upgrade to a better room but was shock to find out that only shower towels are provided (can't imagine what you get with normal rooms). Definitely should not NOT be a Four Star hotel!

One of the oldest hotel in Batu Buruk area. A bit run down but sill popular with government department to hold seminar and meetings. The coffeehouse still served good food.

Not worth it for rm180++. 4 star hotel but the room very lousy. Toilet very smelly n room condition very bad. Many mosquito. Besides, I dont know why there is separate breakfast treat for those who pay rm180++ (standard room) n those pay above rm200++ (deluxe room). Double standard. Overall it was very bad experience staying in PRIMULA BEACH RESORT.

Nice hotel situated close to the sea shore. Good place to relax at the seashore. They have a swimming pool facing the sea. Enjoyed the sea breeze!

The h/k service is too bad. I'd call for 4 times asking for towel, but have to wait for 1hour. The fnb staff not friendly, got pretty face but hard to smile. The juice glass got lipstick. Food just so so. Frontdesk also not friendly. Just to remind coz I also in hotel line.

My room had bed bugs and other insects in it. I requested to change rooms as I have a 4 month old baby, reception said they are full and can't do anything until the next night, I woke up next morning with 5 bed bug bites and the reception still didn't give us another room. Otherwise, the view is amazing and food is pretty good.

Very expensive price for breakfast Rm30nett per person. Need to consider the price meal. Room cleanliness was poor. Dusty at mirror. Need to upgrade television channel or an Astro. Overall, hospitality and staff was excellent and kind.

I chose to stay here for nostalgia rather than anything else, as we used to live in KT, but moved away around 16 years ago.
Sad to say that the hotel is run down. Room is shabby and also run down. Lighting is garish, with white fluorescent bulbs mixed with warm yellow (the standard in any hotel room), and the bulb covers are not frosted or adequate enough to make lighting pleasant for the eyes.
The view also appears quite bad, as I face the parking lot, and some ruins of… old houses.
Room is rather small for the amount we are paying.
On the plus side, the bed is not too bad, and the pillows are acceptable. Other aspects:

Most of the time, the staff would gather round the counter and chit chat, and are not very attentive to your needs, considering this is supposed to be a 4-star hotel. Other hotel restaurants normally refill your glass of water it they see it is empty, or even half empty. Unless of course there were many customers, and their hands were full. But not here. I was the only customer dining there at the time. My glass was not refilled even once. Calling the staff to come was also quite challenging as they were not able to see me raise my hand because of where they were standing — around the counter.
Food quality: breakfast was ok. Nothing to shout about. Egg counter was good. They made the omelette rather well.

Impolite and unprofessional staff. We were group of expats in couples, during breakfast the cook preparing omelet asked us some unexpected shocking question like what is your relationship!? What the heck! So annoying and offensive. But the hotel as a normal hotel is ok. Don't forget Normal.

The hotel maybe a little run down but the people are a gem to this hotel… from the front office… housekeeping… room service and the coffee house… they made my short stay the best experience in Terengganu. Kudos to the team. …

If you like beach scenery and watching sunrise every morning, make sure you ask for the right room. Other than that everything is just nice and comfy. Batu burok beach is next to the hotel so expect some noises from the crowd.

Hotel is in a run-down condition. Old design, old furnishings, unkempt. We were in the Primula Suite. Rooms are generally clean, but old. Bathroom ceiling peeling off. Hot water intermittent. Window panes are dirty. Balcony unusable. Breakfast a dismay. Pool old & dirty. Understaff, unfriendly too. Not a 4 star hotel, not even 3.
